Seeing the Sights

Who: Sollux Captor and OPEN!
Where: Anywhere in the city! He's had a day to come down from the high recuperate from his surgery, and is out exploring and meeting new people.
When: Today.

[Sollux is taking his first few steps alone out on the town, to explore his new home. He arrived blind, but now has two blue robotic eyes - something he needs to have a word with Equius about - and is enjoying a bit of independence after a while of being stuck in bed unable to do anything without assistance.]

[Sollux hisses as Summoner starts to push himself. He's confident he can beat him, though. Though this takes more concentration, he doesn't have to worry about silly things like momentum, lift, and aerodynamics to move himself up, down, or in any direction he wants.

He dives after him, doing a spiral around the flier, then having to pull up short as he nearly collides with a building, so caught up in what he was doing that he wasn't looking at where they were going.

Cursing, he races to catch up]

[A cool head is important! Summoner sees that from a bit away and snickers, taking a hard turn, then another, starting to dive into alley ways, close to the ground. Better not hit anything while you follow! Summoner can just barely navigate his horns through here.]

[Sollux growls at the snickering and dives to follow, right on Summoner's heels. He reaches out and grabs him by the foot, then slowly relaxes his psionic ability, making Summoner take more and more of his weight]

Whoooaaa we got ourselves some touching! Why didn't you just ask, baby? You know these hands are quite experienced.

[A grin, making a quickly turn to the left and whipping his legs hard.]

[He yelps as the Summoner tries to throw him off, ropes of power tying himself to the foot. He wonders if Summoner has the wing strength to manage his weight, and he crawls up a bit, lashing himself to his legs, and tying them together]

My hands are pretty experienced, too! Careful, or I might distract you!

[rebull]

[Thankfully Sollux is smaller and Summoner is used to people a little bit bigger than him when carrying people with him, but all the tail end weight is a little hard to manage so he definitely is slowing down in order not to actually hurt the kid by accident.]

Oohh~ Don't get my thinking, Sollux.

[A chuckle, starting to head back to the arcade now. It's kinda nice to see the other just easily play along, not having to worry about freaking him out too much.]

[Sollux snickers and hops off, flying just below the Summoner at an easier pace now. He turns onto his back and looks up at him, grinning.]

You're okay.

[rebull]

Heh- [He smiles looking down to him for a moment.]

Just okay? We'll have to fix that.

Now then, [He starts, landing infront of the building allegedly the 'arcade'.]

Ready to school me most thoroughly with these computer game things?

[He lands and the powers switch off like a bulb]

Oh yeah, just wait. You're going to get the schooling of your life. [He starts towards the arcade, then pauses and and looks back at him doubtfully] Uh, if you can fit through the doorway.

[rebull]

Oh. Right!

[A laugh before he puts a hand up, removing an earring from each ear. He quickly exchanges them for two others in his sylladex. He puts these two on and his horns shrink to about a size near to Tavros's, probably a little taller though.]

Now I can. [A wide smile, heading on into the arcade.]

[Sollux' jaw drops when his horns shrink]

What the fuck?

[Still facing away and walking into the arcade. His wings rustle a little and his hands raise, doing a jazz hands shake.]

Magic~~!

[Eyeroll, and he moves to follow]

Nope, I changed my mind. You're a dork. Were the horns fake, then?

[rebull]

I'm serious about the magic thing. And no, my horns are normally that big. [A small sigh.]

I only got these earrings here. Someone made them for me so I could actually go into buildings and stuff, heh...

Oh. That's convenient, then! [They step inside and the flashing lights and loud bells are like music to Sollux' ears. He inhales the musty scent of spilled popcorn and sighs, then grabs Summoner's hand and makes a beeline towards a game with rifles attached to it and a lot of zombie groaning issuing from the speakers] Come on, let's shoot some undead.

[rebull]

Heh, yeah, I couldn't really go anywhere here until she helped me out.

[He chuckles, feeling a hand grasp his and he quickly follows, eyeing the machine curiously when he gets there.]

[He's held a real gun before... But nothing like this? It's a bit small and how light it is kind of weirds him out, but he picks it up and inspects it for a moment before looking at Sollux with a small smile.]

Well all right then.

[Sollux grins back] All you have to do is shoot the zombies in the head, got it? [And he pushes buttons to start the game] But don't kill the living humans. I saw a game like this on the human internet when I was in the veil. [And if you wondered what Sollux was doing, since he wasn't trolling the humans, you now have your answer]

[rebull]

Uh, zombies, right. I can do that.

[He nods, watching the starting sequence for the game. He listens as it explains a bit of the story and then the screen seems to divide for either of them, their target markers moving about.]

The circle makes aiming kind of like cheating though, doesn't it?

Oh yeah, it's stupidly easy for members of a dangerous race like ours! But the game is usually shittily calibrated and the guns are too light. It's challenging enough.

[He starts to fire, and takes out the first zombie, then pauses to pick up some ammo]

[rebull]

Is the human world not as violent as ours? [A question he asks while not looking at the screen and then suddenly his gun vibrates and he looks back to see a zombie grabbing and chomping at him. Summoner quickly shakes his gun, as the game advised, and curses, shooting that particular zombie in the head.]

[Right, game, pay attention, whoops.]

[Sollux laughs as Summoner gets distracted, taking another shot at another zombie that's getting too close. After a couple tries, he gets it in the eye and it goes down]

No way, the humans can be pretty good in a fight, I guess, but their world is totally less violent. They don't cull each other, there's no hemospectrum, it's really chill, compared to our universe.

[rebull]

Whoa, uh, what? They don't cull eachother at all? No wars?

[Holy fuck. WOW, distracted AGAIN. At least this time he isn't getting attacked, but he's got a good amount of zombies to clear out before he finally speaks again.]

That's... uh, wow. I need to talk to some more humans then, learn about that.

Um... fuck, I don't know. I think they have wars sometimes, but no random cullings or slavery. [He's far from an expert on humans, though he did poke around at the internet when no one was looking]

[rebull]

Hmm... [A world without slavery and culling seems... impossible. Sure he's fighting to make things more free where he is, but he knows there still will be culling at least.]

[Bang, headshot.]

[Ope, missed that one.]

[DAMNIT, dropping the flimsy plastic gun.]

Ehh, uh, shit shit, whoops.

But yeah, so, wow, I will definitely need to talk to a few more humans...

[Sollux is laughing, getting distracted himself by how weird Summoner is being by dropping the gun. Before he knows it, a zombie is chewing on his face and he struggles to get it off him]

Fuck, get off you bulge-licker-- yeah.

Uh, anyway, yeah. If you want to. They're a pretty boring species.
