Selphie had been pretty quiet lately. There was that curse, and that was weird, being so tiny and so small. She went places and was completely unnoticed. There there was Valentine's Day and all of the confusion that was brought with that. And now, now Selphie is pretty exhausted. The chocobos eggs are due to burst open soon, at least they should, and Selphie's been hiding out in the chocobo barn waiting for them to hatch, to make sure everything goes okay.

Maybe you haven't seen her around in a couple of days, not at the plaza, or at her usual cafes. Maybe you've noticed that she hasn't been home lately. Or maybe you don't know who she is, you don't care, and you're just walking past the barn and feel like looking in. But there's a Selphie in there, and she's got some blankets, a small pile of books, her guitar, and a box filled with empty takeaway tea cups and empty sandwich wrappers.

Find her in the morning/early afternoon and she'll be fast asleep on the hay. Later in the day she'll be grooming the birds, maybe playing with them outside, or singing to them. At night, she'll be keeping vigil.

[ALL THE UNSURES. She was use to fighting monsters and while they have used certain types of animals for farming, she never tried to befriend them. People are weird]

I-I suppose so? I must admit, I am not use to befriending animals like these.

*Selphie watches the girl carefully - she didn't seem too very used to this at all. She tilts her head and smiles*

*Selphie smiles and holds out a hand to the girl*

You say san too, so you must be Japanese, right?

Japanese? I'm afraid not, I'm from Ashihara however...I have heard it is very similar to Japan.

Oh! I'm sorry - it's just that everyone else I know who says -san and stuff, they're all from Japan!

*Still, she smiles at nods*

But I'm not Japanese either, I just sometimes say sans and chans and donos cause it's polite, right?

*Selphie blushes at that but she nods her head, quite serious*

*Selphie tilts her head*

*Selphie smiles at her warmly*

And besides, I put up a pretty good fight and I always do my best to protect everyone. So you don't need to worry!

[Her eyes widen but she did lower the tone of her voice after what she said]

*Ah, but Selphie's always this optimistic and, in recent months, she's been more optimistic about romance too!*

That no matter what you do, no matter how hard you try, the one you love is going to end up getting hurt in the end. How do you...deal with such an issue?

No, no! You're thinking all wrong! Why is he definitely gonna get hurt? Why does that have to happen?

Because that is what Vatheon wishes. While I do not know the citizens of Vatheon, I do not trust that the one I love will be safe here.
