September Mingle Log
[The mingle party for this month is slightly delayed, and it certainly isn't because Station Master had decided to wait for the perfect weather.
Today, the party is taking place on the island, where there are locals stationed out on the beach who're more than happy to toss you a kite and show you how to fly one in this breezy day. There are plenty of kites to choose from, ranging from the simple to the pretty to the more tentacular.
Further out along the beach are rows and rows of surfboards, with a sign. With those sweet waves, doesn't it make you want to get out there and ride them? ...Well, even if you don't, some locals will be quite insistent you try and look they're even willing to show you the ropes!
Away from the waves, however, is an outdoor barbeque, with locals cookingshrimp prawns, fish, hot dogs, skewers... anything you want. There's something for everyone, and if you want to be the cook, they'll happily shove over and give you space to be the Iron Chef of the Beach.
...Actually the party's just an excuse for Station Master to show off his masterpiece]

[Axel frowns at that then with a sigh flops over backwards again to lie down on the blanket.]
Man, and here I was just taking a nice nap. Whatever did I do to deserve this?

[Roxas absently brushes some off Axel's leg. Maybe he shouldn't have buried him.]

[Thinking it, he shifts a little then sighs.]
Ah, well. Maybe a good swim or something will get it all out. Did you go and do any swimming yet or have you literally spent all your time burying me?

[You might notice how many there are among the ruins of the sandcastle.]
no subject
It's supposed to be the other way around.]Huh... so you have.
[Axel looks down and picks one of the shells up, turning it over in his palm.]
You gonna be keeping any of 'em?
no subject
Some of 'em, sure.
[Roxas offers Axel a white conch with a few black stripes that he set aside for later construction, then shuffles over to pluck a vibrant reddish orange shell from the now-slumping tower behind Axel's head.]

Something about it seems so familiar. If only he could figure out just what that something is.
For a while Axel stays like this, just listening, but then he eventually lowers it with a small smile.]
I like this one.
no subject
You wanna keep it for yourself?
no subject
I thought you were collecting them for yourself.

[... A small laugh]
Y'know, you really are adorable, man.
no subject
[It's a compliment, right? Axel's always said so. But...]
You don't- mean that like I'm a kid, right?
no subject
Nah. More like... your personality and how you are. It's... nice.
no subject
[He doesn't mind having a "cute personality" if Axel likes that.]
...so, I'm obnoxious and adorable?
no subject
Yeah. Yeah, you're... obnoxiously adorable. And if it's true that you take after me on that, then I'm willing to accept it.
no subject
Yeah, that sounds about right for you, too.
no subject
You flatter and spoil me way too much, Roxas, you really do.
no subject
I don't think it's too much if I like doing it.
no subject
One of these days you might regret it, Mr. Nice Guy.
[He brushes off a little more sand before he steps out from under the umbrella and stretches his arms out a bit.]
no subject
[He can imagine Axel trying to get something like breakfast in bed out of him.]
no subject
Nope. Not telling you anything.]
no subject
I don't know why I say stuff like that...
