[The mingle party for this month is slightly delayed, and it certainly isn't because Station Master had decided to wait for the perfect weather.

Today, the party is taking place on the island, where there are locals stationed out on the beach who're more than happy to toss you a kite and show you how to fly one in this breezy day. There are plenty of kites to choose from, ranging from the simple to the pretty to the more tentacular.

Further out along the beach are rows and rows of surfboards, with a sign. With those sweet waves, doesn't it make you want to get out there and ride them? ...Well, even if you don't, some locals will be quite insistent you try and look they're even willing to show you the ropes!

Away from the waves, however, is an outdoor barbeque, with locals cooking shrimp prawns, fish, hot dogs, skewers... anything you want. There's something for everyone, and if you want to be the cook, they'll happily shove over and give you space to be the Iron Chef of the Beach.

...Actually the party's just an excuse for Station Master to show off his masterpiece]

[Because that would mean Roxas is less awesome for being short. =( ]

You raced over here to take your time, huh?

[Naw, Roxas is totally awesome for being short. He's the most awesomest shorty that ever did short.]

Ah, what do you know?

[He huffs as he sinks a little deeper in the water, blowing some bubbles.]

[Roxas laughs at that image and although it's tempting, he doesn't splash Axel again. Instead he just wades back a little deeper.]

Well, I know last time you freaked out thinking there was something in the water.

Maybe you're scared.

[flared]

Am not.

[he protests a little quicker than he'd like, his head popping back up from under the water so he can speak.]

[coolerthansora]

Sure you're not.

[Stepping back deeper and deeper, and now it's too deep for him to stand up in. C'mon bestie.]

[flared]

[Axel waits a while, just staring a the water... but eventually he does follow until he's beside Roxas and floating about.]

There. You happy?

[coolerthansora]

Yeah. That's better.

[He gives Axel's shoulder a friendly push.]

[flared]

[Thankfully he doesn't go falling over at that and just laughs it off, later pushing himself further into the water to wade around.

... You know, wet hair looks nice on you, bestie.]

Man, I really needed a break like this, you know? Back home, it's not like we got to hit the beach often either.

[If you're checking him out, bestie, he doesn't notice.

He just swims around a little, half just treading water.]

It is nice. Did we- ever actually make it to the beach, back home?

[flared]

[He has to think about it for a moment... then as he floats on his back to face the sky he frowns.]

You know... I don't think we ever did.

Well... That's okay. We're here now.

[flared]

Yeah...

[It's a subject Axel hates to have return to his mind now and then... but hopefully he'll get over it soon. Sighing, he looks over to Roxas for a beat.]

Y'know... I wouldn't've asked for you to come here, Roxas, but-- I'm kinda glad you did.

[coolerthansora]

[Roxas looks back at him, wondering where that came from.]

Only kinda? I'm glad we're both here.

[flared]

Well.... yeah, ok, maybe more than kinda.

[A small, sheepish laugh.]

It's just more fun when you're with your best friend, you now?

[coolerthansora]

Way more fun.

[Roxas swims over to where Axel is floating, ducking under him and coming up the other side. He'll be nice and not flip you over, bestie.]

I wouldn't wanna be here without you.

[flared]

[Axel scoffs as he stands back up in the water]

You're so romantic.

[Splashing you now watch yourself]

You like that now?

[Roxas throws up his arms and then splashes back at him.]

[flared]

Oh, sure. Sweeps my right off my feet.

[You little runt. Axel starts to wade over to try and reach for Roxas this time.]

Get over here!

[coolerthansora]

[Roxas actually swims back towards him instead of trying to get away, because he can totally (at least literally) sweep you off your feet right now. Well, depending on who manages to grab who first.]

[flared]

[Not running away, are you? Bold move! But Axel's ready, reaching out with those long arms of his to try and noogie the hell out of Roxas.]

[And he does get a hold of Roxas, who grabs for his shoulders in turn and kicks hard against the water, hoping to throw them both sideways before Axel can begin the real noogie-ing action.]
