[If any Vatheonite takes the time today to take a look around the castle, they will find a very, very grumpy fairy godmother fluttering around.

Look, it's Carol, in full-costume and fluttering her wings and looking very sour indeed.]

Play along, he says. Grant wishes, he says. Ugh!

[She looks like she might snap that wand, oops. But she's also fluttering next to a crude, poorly done sign that says Quests for heroes!

...Maybe she'll give you a quest if you go talk to her?

[She's going to lean down to try and get a hug in now. This is not the best idea for their balance.]

[Yeah, it didn't do much for his balance at all. They go down with a whoop, though it is mostly a harmless fall. Just a little bump to the rump, ain't no biggie.

Gamzee blinks at Nepeta from where they have fallen, once, twice, and then he starts laughing, hugging her back properly.]

Woah, clown down.

[Nepeta is laughing as well, curling up on him just like a real kitty would, and giving him all the hugs.]

[He just continues to laugh in a odd mixture of laugh-honk-bleats, reaching up to pet her happily. She is the best kitty.]

[Kitty-goat cuddlepiles, this is the best quest ever!

...they were trying to do something before this, weren't they? A tiny mew draws her attention and she looks upwards.

Huh. The kitty has apparently grown jealous of all the petting going on and made his own way down the tree!]

[Gamzee blinks at the tiny mew and glances up. Then he starts to laugh again, gesturing.]

Fuck, will you all be laying lookstub on that. We're the best motherfuckin' kitty-catchers there are.

The bestest of the best! We'll have all of them in no time!

[And that sure is a kitten climbing on them, mewling pitifully and rubbing his head against Gamzee's chin.]

[Gamzee snuffs when the kitty rubs against him, nuzzle back.]

Yeah!

[He is holding up his hand for a highfive. Which is kinda silly cause they are still sprawled out on the ground.]

[Paw meets hand in the highest of highfives!

And then excuse her while she tries cuddling both her friend and the kitten at the same time.]

[No excuses needed! Cuddling two awesome kitties is a wonderful thing and Gamzee can see how Equius likes this so much.]

[It’s probably a good thing Equius does like them, considering he has one of the most affectionate moirails in the world. And if Gamzee is enjoying them that much too there’s always plenty more where they came from!

After they’d finished this quest, though. Nepeta reluctantly gets to her feet, offering Gamzee a paw to help him up while she keeps the kitten safe in the crook of an arm.]

We need to rescue the other ones!

[Perhaps they should engage in far more three-way cuddles. Nepeta and Gamzee share a common quadrant-mate, after all! That practically makes them family. And sandwiching Equius between them gotta be good fun.

He lets Nepeta help him up, nodding.]

Yeah, lets hoof it. Ain't wanna let these lil' brother up and be stuck for longer than what need to be.

[This is a plan that is so going to happen some time, if Nepeta has anything to say about it.]

That's right! They'll be cold and scared up there, which isn't good fur kitties at all! Purrhaps we should find a basket to carry them in and a nice warm blanket too. Let's go!

[Gamzee was about to suggest they could keep them warm beneath his shirt, before he recalls he does not wear a shirt. That's funny. Why did he think he wears a shirt? Apart from the coldest winters during which Darkleer forces both him and Equius into clothes, he never wears them.

How very odd.]

We can keep the lil' bros warm in my wool.

Ohh, yes yes, that’s a good idea! You’d like that, right, kitty?

[She nuzzles her nose with the kitten’s, making him purr loudly and contently. It sounds like the kitten does indeed like the sound of making a nest in Gamzee’s wool, so she carefully hands him over.]

Now don’t lose him in there!

Hahaha, I ain't got that much fuckin' wool, I'm thinking.

[and else Equius will find kittens later when he inevitably feels Gamzee up some.

Taking the kitten, he tucks it into his chest where there is a great poof of warm goat fur. One arm tucked around his little charge.]

He looks so furry comfy there!

[The kitten does in fact already seem to be falling asleep, but it does give a tiny peep when Nepeta cannot take the cute anymore and tacklehugs Gamzee.

This rescuing business is going to take a while.]

[This is why they both need Equius in their lives. To keep them from doing nothing but cuddling kittens. Equius would probably treat this quest as Very Serious Business with nothing but the most Serious Stakes.]

And then at the end of the quest they would place a kitten on his head and drag him into a glorious cuddlepile.]
