[If any Vatheonite takes the time today to take a look around the castle, they will find a very, very grumpy fairy godmother fluttering around.

Look, it's Carol, in full-costume and fluttering her wings and looking very sour indeed.]

Play along, he says. Grant wishes, he says. Ugh!

[She looks like she might snap that wand, oops. But she's also fluttering next to a crude, poorly done sign that says Quests for heroes!

...Maybe she'll give you a quest if you go talk to her?

[SOMETHING ON FIRE IS CRASHING DOWN TOWARDS YOU FROM THE SKY, CAROL, RUN FOR IT.]

[Ignore the very minor fire which starts when the awkwardly winged... something does a very awkward landing into the ground near her, leaving a pile of burning... something. Wow, sure is a lot of burning. In a few seconds, it rapidly cools to a very large pile of ash...]

[And Lea pops his head out, normally brilliant red hair reduced to a dull gray and hanging limp around his shoulders. There are feathers along his jaw and ears, and some very weak looking wings attached to his back. Also his lower body is a bird's. Eh. Vatheon, what can you do.]

Ha, lookin' stylin'!

[OH GOD WHY.

She flutters behind the crappy sign at the fireball, but peeks out a second later.

Lea? What are you doing?

[A pause.]

And crashing because I keep bursting into fire. But, uh, it doesn't hurt?

[His wings give a little flutter before folding against his back again. He is a very drab gray right now. Phoenixes, man.]

[...She laughs, a little, incredulous bark of a laugh.]

This is absolutely insane.

[Lea just laughs back, but his is a bit more relaxes and cheerful.]

Hey, I wanted to be a knight in shining armor, sweeping damsels off their feet and breaking into castles, but nooooope, you guys made me a bird that explodes.

[Pushing himself to his feet and stepping out of the pile of ashes rather wobbly, he looks down at the sign.]

So! New extra credit assignment?

[She pauses--and then sighs and rolls her eyes.]

As if. Someone is persuasive, okay.

[She kicks at the sign idly.]

Right, right. Want a quest, Lea?

Oh, yeah, I know how that feels. [With a hop and a flutter that sends ash everywhere, Lea awkwardly perches on the sign. Perching just feels more natural okay] Bribery. It was totally bribery, right?

[Perking up at that, he rubs his chin.]

Well, only if it's the most awesome quest you have. You know what a shining star in the night I am, Carol.

[Exaggeratedly, he waggles his eyebrows.]

[She brushes ashes off of a wing with an annoyed huff before turning to him.]

Bribery? What do you take me for?

But fine, fine. Let's see...

Okay, Mister Shining Star. Go deliver something to grandmother's house. It's...over there somewhere.

[She waves vaguely towards the forest.]

[Don't look now, Carol, but there is an enormous feathered serpent just slithering up to you, looking rather amused.]

Well, well, well. Doesn't someone look...appetizing. Not I'm in the mood for fairy godmothers, but in this form, you may never know.

[You can tell from Crowley's tone that he is just teasing, though. Like he would like the taste of people when there is human cuisine to be had.]

[Shizuo recognizes her from the video a while back. He's still decked out in the attire of a huntsman, complete with his ax. He approaches calmly.]

Well, I took you for someone like me, who could only be bribed into doing schoolwork with liberal amounts of ice cream, but Isa always said not everyone shares my work ethic.

[By which he means what schoolwork ethic. Everything besides that is clearly fair game.]

She stares at him for a long moment before narrowing her eyes and holding up her wand threateningly.]

[Shizuo shrugs, as though that's not very important.]

I remember you from that video. The one that made everyone worry.

Okay, well. For the good dragon...you can fly to the clouds in the sky and retrieve...a ball of yarn. Yes, do that.

[A sigh and she shrugs.]

Look, the wings are cool but the glitter's a mess.

[She flutters a wing to demonstrate, the glitter getting over everything.]
