All bubbles pop eventually

Yesterday was a day of celebration. For once, it seemed that the foreigners were able to affect the coral, and in a positive way at that. The coral lit back up, the barrier strengthened, and everything looked like it was back to normal again.

Unfortunately, it doesn't last.

Overnight the coral begins to dim again, flickering wildly along with the bubble itself. Those who stayed up on the island might notice the strange lights coming up through the waves if they're awake. The ones who stayed in the bubble will notice more than that. The atmosphere is tense, and every now and then there's an echoing crack, like a massive piece of glass is slowly losing its integrity.

By the time the morning arrives, the crack in the bubble is evident. After hours of threatening it, the crack finally falls open with a thundering snap, allowing the ocean to rush in. It hasn't yet given up entirely, but there's a steady stream of water pouring in to the plaza and on to the coral. The waterfall would be a pretty sight if not for the situation.

Hopefully no one stayed down there that long.

[He makes a 'no big deal' gesture and starts fidgeting wround with his sylladex. He's got some in here somewhere!

Of course, when he does find them, they're promptly launched into one of the soup bowls. Stupid Miracle Modus.]

[He's seen a sylladex before, once some months ago, but he's never seen one do that.]

[Yeah, it's kind of dumb that way. He should really stop using this one, because he's really used to it. He just reaches over to carefully pick up the straws and watch the remnants of soup drip off of the package.]

... y'know if that doesn't work I could probably just make you soup. I'unno why I didn't think of it earlier, to be honest.

wow oops 'bowls of food' translated to 'soup' somewhere in my head sorry bout that!

[He smiles, despite the stitches, and gives a thumbs-up. Sounds pretty good to him! He doesn't put the straws away, though, just sets them aside to drip-dry.]

[Yeah it's pretty much a mess now at this point. There's more on the table than in the bowls, SO. Soup it is.]

Alright, lemmie see what I can make here.

[And off to work he goes!]

[Kurloz nods his thanks, and, in an unexpected gesture, starts cleaning up the mess his sylladex made of the table. He figures this way it's something of an even trade.

Cleaning up doesn't take too long, fortunately, and Kurloz finishes up soon enough. When he's done, he takes out his SFC, to tap out a quick message to show Rin as soon as he's done.]

[Rin finishes up and brings over two bowls of a creamy tomato soup, flavored with herbs. He pauses at the sight of the clean table, but grins at it and the message.]

Don't worry about it! It's what I'm here for!

[Well, in that case, he'll just smile and tuck the SFC away again, then pop out one of those straws. Bendy straws are one of the best inventions known to man- and trollkind.]
