All bubbles pop eventually
Yesterday was a day of celebration. For once, it seemed that the foreigners were able to affect the coral, and in a positive way at that. The coral lit back up, the barrier strengthened, and everything looked like it was back to normal again.
Unfortunately, it doesn't last.
Overnight the coral begins to dim again, flickering wildly along with the bubble itself. Those who stayed up on the island might notice the strange lights coming up through the waves if they're awake. The ones who stayed in the bubble will notice more than that. The atmosphere is tense, and every now and then there's an echoing crack, like a massive piece of glass is slowly losing its integrity.
By the time the morning arrives, the crack in the bubble is evident. After hours of threatening it, the crack finally falls open with a thundering snap, allowing the ocean to rush in. It hasn't yet given up entirely, but there's a steady stream of water pouring in to the plaza and on to the coral. The waterfall would be a pretty sight if not for the situation.
Hopefully no one stayed down there that long.
((OOC: The bubble has cracked! Feel free to use this post as a mingle log if desired. The elevator is still functioning, so anyone down in the bubble will have some time to escape.))

It's not just those, though.
Frankly, the Island doesn't have a massive stock of supplies, as far as I know. Mind, I was kind of in the snow when I had a chance to look. So I was also trying to get what I could so we had at least some stuff to use for a while. I've kinda been at it since the cracks started appearing, so at least we have some things?
*Uh... That was almost twelve hours ago...*

No, no, you're... you're absolutely right. I'm sorry, I just wasn't prepared at all for any of this. I feel like I very well lost my mind somewhere along the way.

Let's... Just get to that tree I mentioned.
I think that coffee's starting to wear off.

*With few more words, Pascal does just that...
... Eventually leading to an encampment maybe the size of Hubert's room, back down in the bubble, all under the shade of a couple nearby trees. Hastily marked with some lines in the ground, with unorganized piles of what must have been at least half the clothing in the house, the kitchen supplies and food hastily stuck in boxes, bedding dropped roughly on the ground, a couple boxes of some keepsakes of the party, and a lot of toilet paper. Wait, weren't they nearly out?! Did she seriously stop to buy toilet paper while the bubble was cracking?!?!
Speaking of the bedding, Pascal's collapsing onto that right now. It's hard to her her now that she's muffled by the bedding, but it sounds like something about walls.*

But he's a fool who now has a place to collapse and who cares about walls or that he's likely going to be sharing bedding with Pascal at this point. He's too tired to give a crap. He just flops down right next to her on his side, letting out a heavy sigh. He doesn't even take his glasses off, though he probably should.]
Thank you for this, Pascal.

*Pascal responds by shifting a little, spinning a full turn to toss one of the blankets over Hubert and herself.*
Still going to have to get more soon. Gotta get some shelter in place for one...
*Aaaand then she konks right out.*

[He has no idea what you're mumbling about but that's fine, he's too tired to care. Not a minute later, he's out, too.]
