All bubbles pop eventually

Yesterday was a day of celebration. For once, it seemed that the foreigners were able to affect the coral, and in a positive way at that. The coral lit back up, the barrier strengthened, and everything looked like it was back to normal again.

Unfortunately, it doesn't last.

Overnight the coral begins to dim again, flickering wildly along with the bubble itself. Those who stayed up on the island might notice the strange lights coming up through the waves if they're awake. The ones who stayed in the bubble will notice more than that. The atmosphere is tense, and every now and then there's an echoing crack, like a massive piece of glass is slowly losing its integrity.

By the time the morning arrives, the crack in the bubble is evident. After hours of threatening it, the crack finally falls open with a thundering snap, allowing the ocean to rush in. It hasn't yet given up entirely, but there's a steady stream of water pouring in to the plaza and on to the coral. The waterfall would be a pretty sight if not for the situation.

Hopefully no one stayed down there that long.

Not right now- no, but an associate of mine has set up quick access ways to get near the elevator.

That leads right to it through some sort of technology of hers. If you need to get anyone there quickly, these should help.

Oh really? That's very useful! [She peers at the door with a mild frown, attempting to assess the size. It seems big enough, but...]

Would it take my motorcycle to the elevator as well?

It should, as far as I know. Do you want to test it first before things get anymore worse?

That'd likely be best. I'd rather not find out the hard way if it doesn't work.

[The motorcycle roars loudly as she turns it on the spot to face the door. She's enough of an expert to avoid knocking Darkleer off his feet as she does so, but the swift momentum is enough to splash nearby puddles and send a breeze in all directions.]

[Fortunately, Darkleer is already used to being wet after running around here for who knows how long, so he's not much bothered besides raising an arm to shield his face a bit.]

Whenever you're ready...

[He goes to hold the door open, making sure to keep it wide so that she can go through.]

[She gives a firm nod of the head, then snaps the visor of her helmet shut. The engine of her motorcycle roars back to life and she kicks off, zooming towards the door. There's a sense of apprehension, of course, because what if it doesn't work? What would happen to the motorcyle? Or to her? Still, she passes through the door so fast there isn't much time to spend on hesitation.]

[After a bit of the gust has faded from her passing, Darkleer brushes his hair back and looks through the door. Motorcycle, check. Rider, check. Everything looks fine from where he's standing. Washu really does make good passages.]

You look fine, but are you? I just want to make sure.

[Honey leans the parked motocycle mildly sideways, once again placing one foot on the ground for support as she pats herself down. Then she turns to give Darkleer the thumbs up.]
