All bubbles pop eventually
Yesterday was a day of celebration. For once, it seemed that the foreigners were able to affect the coral, and in a positive way at that. The coral lit back up, the barrier strengthened, and everything looked like it was back to normal again.
Unfortunately, it doesn't last.
Overnight the coral begins to dim again, flickering wildly along with the bubble itself. Those who stayed up on the island might notice the strange lights coming up through the waves if they're awake. The ones who stayed in the bubble will notice more than that. The atmosphere is tense, and every now and then there's an echoing crack, like a massive piece of glass is slowly losing its integrity.
By the time the morning arrives, the crack in the bubble is evident. After hours of threatening it, the crack finally falls open with a thundering snap, allowing the ocean to rush in. It hasn't yet given up entirely, but there's a steady stream of water pouring in to the plaza and on to the coral. The waterfall would be a pretty sight if not for the situation.
Hopefully no one stayed down there that long.
((OOC: The bubble has cracked! Feel free to use this post as a mingle log if desired. The elevator is still functioning, so anyone down in the bubble will have some time to escape.))

Action;
Gamzee sits up when he realizes who is nudging him with a foot.]
Hey, my most faithful of motherfuckers.
[He eyes go to Kurloz's stitches for a moment.]
See you got your facegash all done up again.
Action;
He gestures to his paint, then to Gamzee. Looks like he got himself fixed, too.]
Action;
Gamzee gives a little nod. That was a clear enough signal. Especially considering their last conversation.]
Got me the righteous motherfuckin' understanding all of what was made to be good and motherfuckin' miraculous right back at in here.
[A touch to his heart, and you are certainly not imagining that pleased, at peace expression. For some people, being confronted with an absence of faith might get them to rethink the way they are living their life, maybe even make them change some beliefs. Not for Gamzee though. The screaming absence of all what was good and fuckin' understandable during that one week just makes him all the more believing of this stuff.]
It's good. Makes a motherfucker whole again.
Action;
Which is why he settles into the sand next to Gamzee, to spend some relaxing time on the beach with his dancestor, to converse with him as much as he can when they're not alone for him to whisper his 'voodoo words into Gamzee's pan.]
Action;
Man, just fuckin' reminds you of home, you know?
Action;
Re: Action;
Hell yeah, goat bros.
[He holds out a fist for a bump, before he seems to recall something, sitting up with far more energy.]
Oh wait, oh man, I got something to fuckin' show you. Here, hold this.
[He starts digging into his sylladex, retrieving some items seemingly at random in his search and pushing them into Kurloz's hands while he does so. Now, more than ever, Gamzee's sylladex is a mess of random junk, filled with everything he had wanted to bring with him from his hive. He ends up shoving a few shirts (okay, that hadn't been his choice so much, Darkleer had pushed those into his sylladex), a violin??? and a tiny little robotic mouse that immediately heads up, scurrying for Kurloz's hair. Finally he finds what he is looking for, holding up a simple remote.]
Here, bro. Feast your bulbs on this.
[A push of the button and... actually nothing happens for a few minutes. Eventually though, the water near the beach starts to move, before a robotic seagoat crests upwards. It is far smaller than either of their real seagoats had been but you can't look a gift robogoat in the snout. That's ungentlemanly.]
Re: Action;
He gives Gamzee a confused look when the remote appears to do nothing, but as soon as the seagoat appears, he's on his feet and getting closer, the little robotic mouse abandoned to the sand.]
Action;
Gamzee makes sure to scoop up the little robotic mouse and set it on his shoulder --after all, it is a reminder of his now gone momma mouse-- before he takes a few steps out after Kurloz.]
Isn't it cool, man? Darkleer made it for me.
Action;
Action;
If you ever just wanna hang out with him, all a motherfucker gotta do is get your ask on. I don't mind.
[Sharing is caring. And actually for that matter.]
Hey, maybe I could all get my main robotics bro to make me another one of these lil' bros.
[Here, he motions with the remote.]
Then you could get your see on to him whenever you all get to feelin' that motherfuckin' wanting to.
Action;
Kurloz mocks a surprised look, for a few moments. From the few times he's seen Zahhaks here, he's under the impression that they're still wary of him. But they trust Gamzee a lot. And what better way to put them at ease then working through Gamzee? So he nods.]
Action;
At his response, he gives him a thumbs up. Aight, lets get this thing done.]
Action;
As soon as Kurloz stops paying attention to the seagoat bot anyway. He has often thought that this beach was missing a seagoat, after all.]
Action;
[The robo goat perfectly seats one clown, after all. Two if you get creative about it.]
Action;
Action;
[He gives a casual shrug though. He figures Kurloz wouldn't particularly lie about something like that --look at him! he looks like he would never lie-- and why push something on your bros when they are just fine as they be?See, Gamzee never really all got that. Some motherfuckers always seem to be all thinking like they know best for other motherfuckers. Doesn't seem right to him. Not at all.]
Action;
Thanks, motherfucker.
Action;
No
[wait. How does he sign problem again? Crap.]
worry, brother.
[Eh, close enough.]
