It's so much darker when a light goes out than it would have been if it had never shone.
Who: Mituna Captor & YOU
When: April 8th
Where: Phanga neighbourhood (to start)
Style: Action, but reply with what you prefer!
Status: Open

"Fuck!"
The first thing that might be noticed as Mituna Captor's voice broadcast over the SFCs and filtered out through an open window into the street of the Phanga neighbourhood was the significant lessening of his ever-present vocal slurring. The single, vitriolic word was crisp and sharp, and rightly so for although the yellowblood had woken up entirely blind - the cause of his outburst - he also awoke with every part of his mind slotted into the right place. Like a jigsaw finally being put together, he could fully comprehend what was happening around him in a way that he hadn't been able to in sweeps. Sparks crackled at his fingers and he didn't even have to force it. Not that it would be any fucking use since he couldn't fucking see.
Still, he had enough presence of mind to fumble his way into some clothes and carefully feel his way to the door - not without cracking his shins on one of the door frames along the way - and when he found it and pulled it open, he could feel warmth on his face and he knew he should be seeing, he knew his eyes were wide open and...
Why couldn't he see.
"What the ever-loving, grubthucking fuck is happening," he muttered, gripping against the door frame and resting his forehead against it. Memories floated back to him as he stood there. Noise and light. Fear. Pain. He flinched, shook it off and shivered. This was just his fucking luck, wasn't it? The universe, once again, ramming a throbbing bonebulge right up his nook for shits and giggles.
He sat down on the doorstep and rubbed one temple, trying to organise his thoughts.

But this one? This one she could potentially understand.
Being neighbors meant that Damara was used to the sudden and mostly nonsensical outbursts from next door, but today's outfit was... strangely coherent. Curious. Curious enough that it has brought her out of the house and to front steps of the one next to it, staring intently at Mituna for a few moments before finally deciding to speak. "The broken has been fixed."
no subject
One he recognised.
"Damara..."
Shit.
He felt his way up the door frame as he got to his feet, head turned in what he hoped was her direction. "I thee your powerth of obthervation are thtill impeccable."
no subject
Damara moves up on to the step next to him and hums in low, quiet thought. "But the pieces have not all been put together. There is still a crack." And now she'll just sort of... wave her hand in his face.
no subject
Let's be honest he'd probably deserved it. In some round-about fucked up way he'd probably deserved it.
His blindness became evident enough when she waved her hand in front of his face. He couldn't see it, but he could feel the shift in air against his skin. "... What are you doing."

Kurloz didn't expect to see Mituna practically waiting on the doorstep of the next house over, as soon as he left the door, but it was good luck he was willing to accept. Kurloz didn't even bother waving, because as far as he knows, nothing was wrong with Mituna. The only sign of his approach was the sound of his footsteps. After being silent for so long, Kurloz's voice was a hoarse wreck, probably nothing like what Mituna remembered. "Miracle timing, diamondbro," he rasped.
no subject
His own was tentative as he questioned. "... Kurloz? That'th you, ithn't it?" Why would anyone else have reason to call him that? No one would, and there was something he knew in that rasping voice despite how rusty it was. He reached one hand out carefully. "I can't thee, I can't fucking-- I'm blind. Hah! Didn't I thay I'd go fucking blind. I thaid that. Come here, I don't know where the fuck you are."
no subject
"Sure thing, motherfucker," he said, answering two questions in one. He kept his sentences short. "You gonna get your tell on for what happened?" Without letting go of Mituna's hand, he slid down into a seat on the stair next to him, digging his teeth into his lip hard enough to reopen the scratches there.
no subject
"I don't know," he began honestly. Yeah, he was a hair away from having a total nervous freak-out, but Kurloz's presence was already helping that. He pulled in a slow, steadying breath. "I woke up thith way. KZ, I can.. I can remember thhit, it'th like a fog'th gone."

It also helped that things were weird enough on his end, so he knew some kind of curse was happening.
"Mituna? Are you alright?"
The question goes out over the SFC, since he doesn't know where Mituna lives and can't go check on him.
no subject
"No." A rather firm, emphatic negative to that one. "I can't thee."
But he was also not twitching, and looked relatively calm considering his situation.
no subject
He said that in a joking manner. Mituna really does have long hair, he's not surprised that the kid has trouble seeing.
no subject
"Funny, athhat," he grumbled. "I'm blind."

"Mituna?" Definitely not Psii, and too big to be Sollux, has to be the third Captor. Sufferer approaches, keeping his distance more than before since he doesn't want to hit him in the face with his horns. "Are you okay?"
no subject
Turned out it wasn't easy to do anything quickly when you'd been suddenly robbed of your sight.
"Who'th that," he said, a hint of edgy panic in his voice.

no subject
"I.. don't know." He rubbed the heel of one hand against one of his eyes, but just as with everything else, nothing happened. "I'm not hurt, I jutht.. can't thee. Anything."

"Do you want to come for a walk with me? We can stop for ice cream!" Nope, she really hasn't noticed that anything is wrong so far.
