Is it that time of the month already?

...No, today is not the start of shark week.

The Station Master's taken precautions to make this month's mingle party nice and laid back, after that rather magnetic week. Today, locals are all over the Plaza starting to put up the decorations for this strange holiday known as "Christmas", and they're more than happy to cheerfully rope any foreigner who doesn't look too busy into helping them.

The food tables are back, albeit with more drink than food. Hot chocolate, gluhwein mulled wine, a huge bowl of fruit punch, you name it, it's there. Foodwise, there's snowflake shaped crackers with cheese and meats, shrimp cocktails, cups filled with green or red jelly, and plenty of cookies to go around.

Near the food tables are the two usual booths, one belonging to the Welcoming Committee, armed with all the information a newbie would want to know, and the other belonging to the Host Club, manned by all the male eyecandy you could ever need. Have they done something special for their booths this festive season? Better sashay their way and find out!

Walking around all the tables and booths is what looks to be a giant lobster(???) in a Santa suit handing out candy to anyone and everyone nearby. It seems the locals don't understand that it's "Santa Claus", not "Sandy Claws."

Finally, it looks like there's been a new addition to the plaza. Was that ice skating rink over there last night?? It certainly fits the theme, and the locals don't seem to be surprised. They'll even help you lace up those skates and take them for a spin. Bundle up and try not to fall too much!

Can you tell me what you think is the fanciest one?

[Realizing that that might just take up more of Angelo's time, she quickly adds a second comment.]

Or if you have one you think I'd like, you can take me there too.

The fanciest ones are the hotel near the casino and the residential suites inside the casino, but I don't believe you're old enough to go into the casino.

[He starts taking his skates off so he can slip into his boots.]

The hotel near the casino might be a better place to stay.

[She thinks for a moment, but not too long.]

Okay! Can you take me there?

[Seeing that Angelo is taking off his skates, it occurs to Ilya that she should probably do that, too. So she bends over and pulls at the laces, slowly slipping off the skates and putting back on the pair of boots she left not too far away.]

[Once his boots are on instead of the skates, he gives Ilya a small bow.]

I'd be honored to, my lady.

[She, too, finishes slipping into her boots, and stands up from the bench with a smile.]

Yay! Lead me around, Angelo!

[She's happy that they're on good terms.]

[Holding out his hand for her, he smiles.]

Let us be on our way then.

[livingvessel]

[Reaching out, Ilya happily clasps Angelo's extended hand. It helps that he's such a gentleman!]

Okay!

[And off they walk. It would be nice if she could think of something to talk about with Angelo, but it feels like they've been talking all evening... so Ilya continues in silence.]

[Angelo remains rather quiet too until they reach the hotel and he escorts her all the way inside to the lobby.]

The locals who run this hotel should be able to take care of you from here and get you a nice room to stay for awhile. Though I should be heading out myself, it was a pleasure speaking with you.

It was nice meeting you too, Angelo! Let's skate together again sometime, okay?

[She gives him a smile and a wave before she turns to the lobby desk. This place is completely new and she still has no idea how she got here... but Ilya is hopeful that people won't be out to kill her here.

And that's definitely an improvement. Now, if only Shirou were here...]
