Is it that time of the month already?

...No, today is not the start of shark week.

The Station Master's taken precautions to make this month's mingle party nice and laid back, after that rather magnetic week. Today, locals are all over the Plaza starting to put up the decorations for this strange holiday known as "Christmas", and they're more than happy to cheerfully rope any foreigner who doesn't look too busy into helping them.

The food tables are back, albeit with more drink than food. Hot chocolate, ~~gluhwein~~ mulled wine, a huge bowl of fruit punch, you name it, it's there. Foodwise, there's snowflake shaped crackers with cheese and meats, shrimp cocktails, cups filled with green or red jelly, and plenty of cookies to go around.

Near the food tables are the two usual booths, one belonging to the Welcoming Committee, armed with all the information a newbie would want to know, and the other belonging to the Host Club, manned by all the male eyecandy you could ever need. Have they done something special for their booths this festive season? Better sashay their way and find out!

Walking around all the tables and booths is what looks to be a giant lobster(???) in a Santa suit handing out candy to anyone and everyone nearby. It seems the locals don't understand that it's "Santa Claus", not "Sandy Claws."

Finally, it looks like there's been a new addition to the plaza. Was that ice skating rink over there last night?? It certainly fits the theme, and the locals don't seem to be surprised. They'll even help you lace up those skates and take them for a spin. Bundle up and try not to fall too much!

[Denzel squints his eyes shut, expecting to hit the ice. However, when he doesn't peeks his eyes open and looks around and feels as if he's being touched. His skin tenses for a moment before slowly relaxing and just stands there, blinking as he helps her help himself into the coat.]

Can someone explain what just happened? [Looking over at Washu as she continues to secure him]

[Beat] I really much rather get my feet on friction again. [Someone doesn't know how to have fun] Not that what you did wasn't appreciated. It - WAS! [Giving a body jerk]

Simple. I caught you.

[Obviously. She just smiles as the coat is completely secure and skates back a step. He really needs to relax a little more and eventually she'll get him to.]

Then lets head off the ice and you're welcome.

[At his body jerk and lack of Washu goes and does the splits on the ice. He doesn't say anything but his face reads of pain. Between his over bite, clunching his lower lip and the sides of face being stretched in pain]

...One minute...

[If anyone thought Crocker's voice wasn't particularly manly before now he sounds like a girl.]

[And suddenly she's confusingly looking down. It's going to take a few moments for the genius to realize what just.. happened.

Once she does, she just shakes her head and helps to haul him to his feet. This time, Washu's not letting go and slowly escorting him off the ice before he hurts himself more.]

[As Denzel is being escorted off.] You know I've never liked ice. Not every since mother locked me in the freezer..... She said it was an accident. [Sounds as if he questions that]

[...That gained a raised eyebrow. Normal parents don't lock their kids in a freezer. Denzel has every right to question that.]

Somehow I doubt that.

I don't know. I can't understand her.

I've always felt rather disconnected from her. And then when I, had a job and she didn't have to work. Suddenly, she wants to be a part of my life.

And she questions where our love went. Ha!

It sounds like your mother is a vulture.

[A very blunt observation.]

More like she didn't have time for me when I was growing up.

Being older I can understand why... Still doesn't change the fact I spent most of my childhood with a babysitter. [Can we say Icky Vicky]

[And the more she hears, the more she's reminded of her Little Ryoko. Though in that case, it wasn't her fault. It was Kagato that did that to them.]

It sounds like you didn't have a good childhood.

That doesn't even begin to cover it. [Denzel grumbles] I HATE MY CHILDHOOD. Don't why I ever had to be a child in the first place. [Though he hates all of his life but that's besides the point]

Because you have to have a time of carefree fun before the world decides to define you.

[Denzel just grumbles] The world's a cruel place. The sooner any child learns that the better.

As a child should never have their childhood ruined by the affairs of adults. They should learn that particular lesson later in life.

[And this is something they will probably never see eye to eye on.]

[Denzel laughs crazy like Washu just told a joke before grumbling]

I hate my life.

It sounds like you had every right to.

Nice to hear you agree with me on something. [Denzel pauses] What about you?

[She rolls her eyes a bit.] Well, if you ignore the being trapped for 5,000 years and being raised in an orphanage, I like my life. I made it what I wanted it to be and continue to do so.

[Denzel mumbles] I may as well have been raised in the orphanage.

[Before a beat and normal volume] Trapped? How?.... 5,000 years?! What are you?

[Washu just smiles.

I don't know what I am. But, the resulting trap was the result of a betrayal of my student at the time. He...went a little power hungry.

[Denzel has understanding eyes at Washu that is until she brought up the power hungry bit]

What the heck is wrong with that?! [Besides the betrayal part]

[She gives him a rather annoyed deadpanned look.]

He imprisoned me, kidnapped my daughters and forced them to attack and destroy twenty-eight planets and sixty-nine colonies through out the universe. He then proceeded to send them on a suicide mission attacking the planet Jurai which resulted in the decimation of their entire fleet and both my girls imprisoned on Earth for seven hundred years.

And he forced me to watch the entire damned thing. So you tell me, what's wrong with going a little power hungry.

[Denzel appears rather uneasy as his stomach churns. Frankly, he and Washu have a love/hate relationship but not enough hate now that he'd try to harm her. No, not after everything she's done for him. With distress brows remarks]

Besides the betrayal part... Wait you have daughters?!

[His eyes suddenly widing. It's not strange considering her age but she's never brought them up before. Crocker is weird in that sense he does have the ability to betray people he sorta likes. However, he's as power hungry as you can possibly get. Sounds like there's a flaw in here...]

In my experience, power hungry usually leads to someone's inevitable death.

[Which would be why for all her knowledge, she's never tried to snatch power. Sometimes, it falls into your lap.. but that's an entirely different story entirely.]

Yes, I have daughters.Why is that such a big surprise?

[Talking to no one] I get the feeling she's trying to give me a moral.
[Then back at Washu]

Because you've never brought them up before now?
