Is it that time of the month already?

...No, today is not the start of shark week.

The Station Master's taken precautions to make this month's mingle party nice and laid back, after that rather magnetic week. Today, locals are all over the Plaza starting to put up the decorations for this strange holiday known as "Christmas", and they're more than happy to cheerfully rope any foreigner who doesn't look too busy into helping them.

The food tables are back, albeit with more drink than food. Hot chocolate, gluhwein mulled wine, a huge bowl of fruit punch, you name it, it's there. Foodwise, there's snowflake shaped crackers with cheese and meats, shrimp cocktails, cups filled with green or red jelly, and plenty of cookies to go around.

Near the food tables are the two usual booths, one belonging to the Welcoming Committee, armed with all the information a newbie would want to know, and the other belonging to the Host Club, manned by all the male eyecandy you could ever need. Have they done something special for their booths this festive season? Better sashay their way and find out!

Walking around all the tables and booths is what looks to be a giant lobster(???) in a Santa suit handing out candy to anyone and everyone nearby. It seems the locals don't understand that it's "Santa Claus", not "Sandy Claws."

Finally, it looks like there's been a new addition to the plaza. Was that ice skating rink over there last night?? It certainly fits the theme, and the locals don't seem to be surprised. They'll even help you lace up those skates and take them for a spin. Bundle up and try not to fall too much!

The rink is going to here until the end of the Holidays. I'm sure you'll have plenty of time to practice, Uncle.

Believe me, if I was here seven or eight years ago I wouldn't be having this problem. _{[The last word was grunted as climbed over the fence.]} Then again, I was used to the ponds around North City.

Which is another thing he may have to test some day. If you eat a fellow visitor of the city, would their soul join the countless masses inside of him or would it restore him without letting him keep the soul

He was watching the skaters now as he shipped at his drink.] You know my mother has taken me out skating before.

I'm your only uncle. _{[He reaches over with his empty hand to lightly ruffle Selim's hair.]}

...We had a pond up north, about half a mile away from my family's home. I inherited my father's stubbornness so while my brother would wear the skates I would see how far I could go with only my shoes. It was stupid, and still is considering I dislocated my shoulder doing that when I was ten.

Shoes are better than being bare-footed at least, but it still seems rather silly. [He'll place a free hand on his chin as he thought it over.] Could it be you were afraid of the skates? They do look like they would be sharp. [:D]

I just didn't like them. I used to think skating was primarily for young couples who were dating or married. Obviously the ten-year old me didn't like that idea very much. I recall telling my mother that it was 'gross'. _{[A beat.]} I think that surprised my her because it was one of the few times where I'd act like a child my age.

And really? That was so normal for kid that it was mildly surprising.]

I think I would be surprised too. [It was a good thing his cover involved home schooling. Maybe he would have been concerned with cooties or gross if he had to play at a normal school.]

When my father had time he would try to draw pictures in the ice. I think last time he tried doing a pineapple. [Wrath got so in to the family thing it was ridiculous.]

...He had a coconut delivered to me when I passed my State Alchemist exam. _{[Seriously, he had no idea what to even do with it at first.]}
