Birthday Party!

When: Tuesday, starts out in the evening and lasts until late at night.
Where: The Island, at the beach.

[Tidus had planned on throwing Roxas' party on his actual birthday. Then, stuff happened. Then other stuff. Now, finally, Roxas' very late "surprise" birthday party is being thrown. Telling Roxas that he just wants to hang out on the Island, everyone else is informed of the party before they get there.

As characters approach, there's a banner hanging that says: HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY ROXAS. Glowsticks decorate the area where the party is taking place. There's enough for anyone to take some and use them if they want! Some catchy, danceable music plays in the background, and to the side is the table with (alcohol free for the time being) refreshments and snacks, Roxas' sea-salt ice cream cake still in a cooler until later. On the opposite side, is a table for birthday presents, which will can be opened anytime Roxas wants. Since the weather is decent, a projector has been set up on the beach to play an action adventure, fishpun-free movie later.

Games will go on during the party too, including sardines (which will take place more inland), pictionary and anything else anyone might think of. In case anyone wanted to play sports, there are also a few balls lying around, along with the closest thing Tidus could find to struggling bats.

[Roxas had thought it was kind of silly for Tidus to tell him he was going to throw a surprise party -- at the time. Now that a month has passed, and several bizarre and stressful curses along with it, the party has completely slipped his mind. He really does think Tidus just invited him to hang out on the island.

He's... pretty stunned by what he actually finds. It's a full-blown birthday party. For him. It has his name on the banner and everything.

He'll just stare for a little bit.]

[Waving cheerfully, Tidus runs up to Roxas.]

I hope you don't mind that I told you not to bring ice cream.

[ Sora comes up behind Roxas and hugs him from behind in a quick burst. ]

Hey! Happy Birthday, Roxas!

[ Sora's grinning from ear to ear. ] Bet you didn't think this was going to happen huh?

[ Not that Sora had any idea it was going to happen, but when Tidus invited him he was more than on board with the plan. ]

[Well, it's way past Roxas' supposed birthday, but that doesn't mean they can't celebrate it, right? Axel's right there waiting for birthday boy to show up, and when he does he strides right up and slings his arm around Roxas' shoulders to give him a shake.]

[Another shake and then as a joke,]

Seesh, fine. Don't look surprised or nothin'.

Table - Birthday Presents

[Was there really any point in wrapping up a baseball bat? The shape kind of it kinda gives it away...

Yet he still looks very happy to put it on the table.]

[Hm...how does one wrap up a small planet as a birthday present anyway? Oh well, she'll just have a bow at the top and go with that. That still counts right?]

[ Sora's gift is wrap in a nice box with sky blue paper and a white ribbon. No worries he's definitely not the one who wrapped it, but at least it looks pretty. Inside is a sea shell collection of Roxas's very own. Since apparently his other had wanted one so badly as to steal Sora's a few curses back. It took Sora a little work, but in the middle of the collection is a lucky charm which is similar to the one Kairi gave Sora. ]

[Well... it wasn't easy, but he'd managed to find something he hoped would be decent enough for his best buddy. He didn't want it to be obvious from the shape, so with a little scrounging he picked out a long and flat box, wrapped it white paper, and set it aside behind the other presents.

Geez. When was the last time he celebrated anything like this? But forget about that- Roxas had never done this in his life. He could only imagine what the kid was thinking and feeling through all of this.

But anyway. Hopefully Roxas would appreciate something familiar.]

[Going with what he knew Roxas liked from other people, Tidus had probably attempted wrapping the small night sky projector kit five times before he was out of wrapping paper. The end product is badly wrapped, with too much tape, but he tried.]

*Of course Selphie was gonna go to Roxas' birthday party. She remembered that he'd mentioned it before, but all sorts of things had happened between now and then.

But now, Selphie's at the refreshment table, and she's plonking down a pretty large freezer box. Inside is a huge slab of sea-salt icecream, and a slab of strawberry icecream too, because that's what she'd seen him eating last time. Happy, Selphie glances around, hoping to catch a sight of Roxas, or someone she knew, or even ready to make new friends*
