Summary: It's a new worlds, and there's no way Sora's not going to go exploring!



Sora was wondering around Vatheon with seemingly nothing better to do. He'd been reunited with a good portion of his friends from home, and he was for the most part feeling pretty good about things. It sucked a bit that they'd probably never make it back home, but at least they were here together.

Now with nothing but free time on his hands he was wondering around Vatheon exploring the place for all it was worth! If he was going to be stuck here for awhile he might as well know where everything was, and meet some new people besides!

Roxas snapped out of it as Sora began moving closer, and held up his hands, taking a step back. "H-hey, hold on a second."

Although, wasn't Sora already closer than he had been when Roxas met him the first time? He looked at his own upheld hands. Still not see-through.

Sora stopped moving concern covering his face. "What's wrong?" Roxas wasn't disappearing, so this wasn't a dream.

"It's just me, Roxas." He laughs a bit nervously. "You remember me right?" He doesn't see how Roxas could forget, especially not with a reaction like that, but he's trying to make light of a rather tense situation.

"O-of course I remember you, I just..."

Wait, now he was talking to his Other. And not in his head or anything like that, but face-to-face. And there was something else weird about this...

"When- did you figure out who I was?"

Sora raised a hand up and rubbed at the back of his head. "I guess it took me awhile, but Riku told me who you were when we were in the World That Never Was."

He looked away a bit remembering how he'd felt then. "Everyone from the Organizaton kept calling me Roxas. I didn't understand why so, Riku explained."

He reached up at put a hand over his heart. He didn't really get how he could see Roxas in the flesh right now, but he figured it had something to do with how both Lea and Axel were here too.

"Riku did..." Roxas frowned at that. It almost felt like an insult, to have Riku be the one who finally explained everything.

Shaking his head, he looked back at Sora, studying him. "How long have you been here anyway?" Kairi hadn't mentioned him when he'd first arrived; had they both gotten here at about the same time? He wasn't sure if that boded well or not.

"I just got here a week ago." He didn't see the irony or insult in the situation. He knew that Riku and Roxas had fought, but for a guy like Sora that really didn't mean too much.

"When did you get here?" No one had mentioned Roxas to Sora either.

Fighting was one thing. Being kidnapped so someone else could screw you over was something else.

"...a week ago," Roxas said. It was strange, though, that they arrived at the same time, but Sora seemed to come from further in the future. Unless, it was because he'd decided to return to Sora for real? Maybe after that, he just wouldn't exist at all anymore...

"Yeah, King Mickey mentioned that people can get here from different times." He rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. "I guess that's how Lea and Axel can be here too, at least that's what Mickey said."

And anything that King Mickey said had to be true.

Roxas nodded slightly. So Mickey had told Sora about that, too.

"Do you know if- Axel and Lea have... you know... met?" He eyed the distance between the two of them, still trying to figure out if it was even necessary.

"No he didn't." Sora frowned a bit. Was that what Roxas was worried about?

"But being in the same place, in the same world is enough don't you think? " He moved a few more steps closer to Roxas until the other told him to stop again.

Roxas stopped breathing for a few tense moments as Sora came closer. But... nothing happened.

With as long as Axel had been here, if Lea had been here longer than the both of them, too, then they must have dealt with this themselves, right? And obviously Axel had come out of it just fine. This definitely wasn't like before. Sora hadn't needed to be this close, where they could just reach out and touch each other...

He finally let out a shaky breath. "I- I guess you're right."

Right on cue, Sora reached out with his hand to Roxas. He wanted to touch the Other, to feel that he was real and not just a figment that was going to disappear even if they had been talking this long already.

"Yeah." At least he hoped he was right. He moved a little closer until his arm could touch Roxas' shoulder.

Roxas flinched even before the hand reached him, but he didn't stop it. He looked back at Sora, silently counting the seconds pass. Three... four... five... Both of them still standing there as real as before.

He closed his eyes for a moment, relaxing in relief.

"See." Sora grinned. "It's okay."

He couldn't help himself as he moved even closer to Roxas and wrapped his Nobody into a tight hug. Such a strange sensation, being able to hug Roxas like this.

"W-woah." Knowing Sora, he probably should have expected the hug, but it really was a strange sensation. Being hugged by his Other... by the person he used to be. But, they were separate now, and maybe they always could be. He hoped so.

Not exactly returning the hug, he just gave his Other a light pat on the shoulder.

Sora laughed at the pat. He should have expected Roxas to not be nearly as affectionate. Still it was a nice moment while it lasted.

He pulled away still grinning for all he was worth.

"I'm really glad I get to meet you Roxas."

"Y-yeah." Faced with that grin, Roxas couldn't help smiling himself. "Me, too."

When he'd first wanted to meet Sora, he had never expected this kind of reception should it ever happen. He hadn't expected to be treated like one of Sora's friends.

The smile seemed to widen even more. The thought of getting to hang out with Roxas was exciting and a little frightening at the same time.

Sora wondered if this wasn't what Ven felt like when he got to meet Sora, only it wasn't quite the same thing was it?

"So, have you run into Axel yet?" He remembered that Axel and Roxas had been friends, and the red-headed man must have been really excited to see his best friend.

Roxas nodded. "Yeah, I've seen him." His smile widened just a bit at that thought. Axel being here--his best friend being here--was one of the best things about this place.

"You ran into him, too?"

Sora couldn't agree more. The fact that both Riku and Kairi were here made it a nice place to be no matter what curses might come their way. That Sora could see Roxas face to face and see Axel again after the red-head had helped him made it all the better.

"Yeah, I met him over this thing." Sora reaches into his pocket and pulls out the SFC. "I was really surprised to see him here!"

"Surprised... That's one way to put it." It was a definite understatement, at least for Roxas. He'd never expected to see Axel again.

Well, Sora couldn't have either, but they didn't have the same bond.

Sora laughed. "Yeah I guess you're right." He was more than surprised.

"I bet you're glad he's here too huh?" He couldn't help but smile. Whatever curses there may be in this place, it was okay in Sora's book. "Are you going to live with him?"

"Yeah. Really glad." Never mind that he wasn't supposed to have a heart. That was what he felt.

He blinked at Sora's question, though. "Live with him?"

"Yeah, you know? Where are you staying?"

Come on Roxas you couldn't be living in a box or something this past week! Not that Sora knew what accomodations may have been made for new residents. He was already staying with Riku, Kairi, King Mickey, and Queen Minnie.

"Kairi helped me find a place." He hadn't even known Axel was here until a few days later. Maybe it would be nice to live in the same place as his best friend... but when he could portal there any time he wanted, there didn't seem to be much difference.
