He was killing himself. He could feel it in the intense pain that exploded across his think pan like someone was jabbing two culling forks through his eye sockets and then wiggling them around inside his brain.

He was sure he had killed himself. He sort of hoped he had killed himself, because living with that kind of damage was going to suck serious hoofbeast testicles.

And then he'd expected to hopefully find himself safe and sound in the bubbles, where he could spend eternity reliving the few good moments he'd had in his short life and leave the universe-saving and misery to someone else. What he hadn't expected was a whole lot of water, and confusion and a lot of voices, none of which were familiar. It sounded like he'd suddenly landed himself in the middle of a city.

Frightened and confused, he pushed himself up, coughing up a lungful of sea water and yellow blood, and felt around helplessly, searching for something, anything familiar. "Hello?" he called out, but not too loud. Karkat, Kanaya, Terezi and Gamzee had been right there. Why wasn't anyone saying anything to him?

"What happened?"

"I can aid in hith recovery, but not thignificantly," he assents softly, finally floating closer. He's still stunned, he had not expected to see his descendent in this state.

"Hello, child. Do you conthent to that?"

"Um, sure," Sollux said uncertainly. "I'm not a child, I'm Sollux," he added, a bit more firmly. He was in a horrible state, he knew, and he was sure that his ancestor must be disappointed. "I'm probably okay, though, I mean, this is no big deal."

Sollux, if you could see yourself, you might realize how flawed that argument sounds.

Signless gently and carefully paps the back of Sollux's hand, since he's pretty sure papping him in the face would make everything worse. "Shhhhh, we know. It's okay, we're here to help you, let us take care of this, it's okay..."

Child, you must know how hard your name is to pronounce with a lisp. You've had to have had those teeth at some point in your life. Still, the Helmsman nods and then pauses before actually making a sound of confirmation. Blind, right.

"I will aid you nonetheleth. Adopt a relakthed thupine pothture. I will give you blood."

And far more efficiently than with any sort of delivery system that might be available from a medical professional, he's fairly sure. He moves to sit himself in a nearby chair, looking to Signless. Clearly the other man can handle the hard stuff, like reassuring.

The reassurance is really not helping. In fact, Sollux is growing more tense by the moment. He's never really been in the habit of accepting help from others - not even from his lusus, which was so vicious it really didn't do much raising of him as a wiggler and more just tried to kill him at every opportunity.

"What are you going to do?" he asks uncomfortably, shifting onto his back twitchily and clenching his hands tightly into fists. He wants to just leap up and abscond, but he knows he'd just wind up slamming into the first wall he encountered. He can't really stop them from doing whatever they want, especially if his ancestor has his powers as well as his lisp.

"We're going to help you." Signless takes one of Sollux's hands in both of his, rubbing it between them, trying to rub some warmth and life back into it. "Psii is the best friend I've ever had, Sollux, and I know he would never hurt you. I know this is all very new and scary, and that you've probably heard horrible stories about adult trolls, but we mean you nothing but the very best. So shhhhhhh, just relax, let us help you."

Keeping Sollux's hand in one of his, he reaches out with the other one, gesturing to Psii. If the two yellowbloods will allow it, he'll join their hands together.

"Nothing, if that ith preferred."

He's usually fairly passive with Signless, but he tugs his hand back. "Otherwithe, I will input my blood to your body. Thionicth will be the conduit for the connecthion."

He says it with a calm that implies it would be simple. It is, to him anyway, given that it's no more complicated than attempting a repair on an organic computing systems, that really is the case.

Sollux has never tried anything like this with his powers, before, and he's not really sure how it's going to work. But despite his fear, Signless' endless reassurance and shooshing seem genuine, and when Psiioniic says he won't do anything if Sollux doesn't want, that helps a great deal. Despite him acting like a scared wiggler, neither of them is getting irritated or pushing him harder in response.

He bites his lip and nods. He probably does need blood, though he's still sure that if he just rested and maybe ate some food it would all work out.

"Okay," he says bravely. "Fine. Go ahead."

He's so brave. Just like his ancestor.

Signless keeps hold of Sollux's hand, and nods to Psii. "You'll feel much better once this is done, I'm sure. And after it's all over, we'll help you find some of your friends. I'm sure you're eager to catch up with them, aren't you? They'll have a lot to tell you, and they'll be so happy to see you here, safe and sound."

Signless keeps up a steady stream of babble, hoping to distract Sollux from Psii's work.
