She's Been Sleeping with the Chocobos

Selphie had been pretty quiet lately. There was that curse, and that was weird, being so tiny and so small. She went places and was completely unnoticed. There there was Valentine's Day and all of the confusion that was brought with that. And now, now Selphie is pretty exhausted. The chocobos eggs are due to burst open soon, at least they should, and Selphie's been hiding out in the chocobo barn waiting for them to hatch, to make sure everything goes okay.

Maybe you haven't seen her around in a couple of days, not at the plaza, or at her usual cafes. Maybe you've noticed that she hasn't been home lately. Or maybe you don't know who she is, you don't care, and you're just walking past the barn and feel like looking in. But there's a Selphie in there, and she's got some blankets, a small pile of books, her guitar, and a box filled with empty takeaway tea cups and empty sandwich wrappers.

Find her in the morning/early afternoon and she'll be fast asleep on the hay. Later in the day she'll be grooming the birds, maybe playing with them outside, or singing to them. At night, she'll be keeping vigil.

*Selphie thinks this over for a moment or two - she knew a lotta songs! But then she smiles at the birds and sits herself down beside them*

Well... they like this one.

*And she slowly begins an a capella version of Eyes on Me, because everyone loves the theme songs to their own canons*

[Yukari listens closely, watching the Chocobos react to her voice; quite pleasantly in fact. She doesn't know the lyrics, and it would take her a while to learn them--

But she does begin to hum along just a bit. Softly--once she gets a hang of the beat.]

*Selphie finishes her song and smiles*

Whaddaya think? Sometimes I like taking the tune and singing whatever words I feel like. It's fun!

[tsundyne]

... [Yukari smiles, nodding.]

It's really pretty...

[And then she laughs a bit.]

You'd probably love the karaoke place Minato and I found.

[booyaka_boom]

*Selphie claps her hands together brightly*

I love karaoke! Someplace here? Or is it back home?

*Cause otherwise, karaoke night is ON!*

Both, actually!

[Yukari looks rather excited herself. Selphie being so happy is pretty cute.]

There's a place back home he used to go to on some nights. And there's one here! We went, on his birthday. [grin]

[booyaka_boom]

*Oh, here is Selphie looking very, very put out. Minato's birthday? Had she missed one? But she's soon smiling again and nodding*

Awesome! Let's all go! I can't imagine Minato doing karaoke!

*And the thought makes her giggle*

[Selphie might have been asleep, yeah. But no worries. Someone like Minato wouldn't hold it against her.]

We should! He's not half-bad, actually. [She laughs, too.] And I'm sure he'd like it.

Awesome! Then we should definitely all take a trip together! We will, right?

*Because sometimes being anywhere that isn't the barn or the house is exciting!*

[TRUE. And breaking from her mundane routine is nice, she has to admit.]
