[This might be considered a warning sign for mental instability but if anyone actually knew Izaya, it wouldn't be that shocking. It's still a pretty interesting sight regardless.

Izaya is pacing back and forth. Between one street lamp and to the next. He's walking in a quick, even line back and forth, back and forth. He stops at each street lamp and occasionally pulls out his starfish communicator but only to put it back away and continue pacing. If anyone had been watching for a while now, they might've known that he's been doing this for a good twenty or maybe even thirty minutes.

He's muttering to himself too. Even better. Oh but the slightly worse part is the flick blade he continuously snaps open and shut in his other hand- of which is clicking loudly over his ramblings. He doesn't look upset. Actually, he looks kinda of energetic and excited.

Go and interrupt his thinking time?]

And making you blush is likely going to make me nauseous.

[A casual smirk to counter Izaya's grin. Even after all this lost time, he feels a familiar sinking sensation in the pit of his stomach that suggests that the informant, true to his title, knows a bit too much about his current train of thought.

The sensation grows stronger with the mocking jab, though it's nothing Shinra hasn't heard before. A conversation with Izaya wasn't truly a conversation until they'd both taken a few jabs at each other, though he usually fared better when the jabs weren't literal.]

I can only imagine how grateful humanity would be if you loved each of them a fraction of the amount I love Celty. They might even stop hating you, if you're lucky.

[Shinra understands a great deal about a lot of topics, but Izaya's fascination with the whole of humanity is a continual mystery to him. Not to mention the fact that the informant has an interesting habit of tormenting a large number of the party in question. Strange habits for a strange guy, he supposes.]

I was hoping all the time out of Ikebukuro might have done some good for your personality, but it looks like I-wait. A coma? What happened!? And what exactly do you mean, 'magical powers'?

[A snide grin quickly shifts into a wide-eyed expression of surprise. Shinra isn't sure what's more interesting - the fact that someone, because it most certainly had to be the doing of someone and no fluke of nature - successfully incapacitated Izaya, or that someone else was able to heal him using magic, of all things.

Of course, all these curiosities fly out the window at the mention of Valentine's Day. A wistful glimmer lights up his eyes as he throws his arms in front of him in a melodramatic gesture of his love.]

I'm glad you asked! I've got a romantic love extravaganza planned for Celty! I'm going to fill the whole apartment with roses during the night - one for every week I've ever known her - and then we're going to take a stroll through the plaza and have a nice, private picnic under the shade of the Great Lamufao, and then we'll spend the afternoon doing anything at all she pleases until the sky just begins to redden from the light of the setting sun, at which point a set of fireworks will burn our names into the night air above a full-fledged orchestra playing a freshly composed romantic overture as I profess my undying love to Celty atop a splendidly ornamented balcony.

[He's still working on getting roughly one thousand roses, supplies for a picnic, a restaurant reservation, a pack of specially designed fireworks, a composer, an orchestra, and a splendidly ornamented balcony, but he has high hopes for a successful day.]
