[If you've visited the island any time in the past week, then you would have had the briefest conversation with Station Master in the elevator, right before you stepped off onto the island, demeanor as polite as ever as he speaks--]
I'm trying out some new cookie recipes and wanted to know if you wanted to try some. Stop by, when you and your friends are able. I’m thinking of baking up a big batch on Saturday and pass them out where we met before. You really should come.
[--before the doors of the elevator will close, dissuading further conversation. He certainly looked far too serious to be talking about cookies.]
---
[For those who take Station Master up on his offer, he'll be waiting by the warehouse up on the island, distracted, before waving people inside. Inside are cookies, muffins, and cups of water, but those aren't the real reason he's summoned you here. When Station Master steps inside, he removes his hat, but his gaze is still distant, as if he has other thoughts preoccupying him.]
I’m sorry for calling everyone here on such short notice. I’m afraid I had little choice though and my message is not an enjoyable one.
[His expression is serious now, very serious.]
This morning I intercepted a message meant for the Head Nurse from the lead scientists who are behind this experiment. I was able to erase the message, leaving her unaware of its existence for now but I’m afraid I’ve only been able to buy us some time, nothing more.
[He’s reaching into his pocket now, drawing out a folded piece of paper. The message for those who’d rather read it black on white.]
It said they have gathered all the data needed and are shutting down this project. They’ve also given her the all clear on eradicating all left over assets. That is to say… you.
((Now with a summary))

It was only a matter of time. Instead of panicking, we need to find a way to keep ourselves alive.

[Much of that stuff discovered in the aftermath of Kid's team's attempt to power the Coral had to be relayed to him after the lengthy nap he had to recover, and he's still missing some vital pieces. But this makes sense.]
Additionally, it would be better to make certain our captors face the consequences of their actions.

Of course. I believe the Station Master here has a connection to the outside world, much of which does not truly know what is happening with this experiment. If we could somehow relay it to the rest of the world, we could certainly make sure the scientists are brought to justice while also hopefully finding a way to keep ourselves alive as well.

If the outside world was to realize our plight, and more importantly, come to care about our situation, then perhaps public pressure could do for us what force cannot.
[Exceeeeept...]
But there's also a danger we might be demonized, allowing our captors to dispose of a threat before it is "allowed to escape".

I've been here for two years. I'm certain there are recordings on my SFC of various things that would make us appear just as normal as they are save for differences of race and culture. The talk of that Okumura boy's cooking classes, the various romances which have started in Vatheon, the celebrations- those would come off as good, wouldn't they?

[He tucks his hands behind his back for a moment.]
You've been here for a long while. Have you ever tried to come up with any escape plans?

First, we could attempt to make the outside world- your Fasest- aware of what is happening here. We could give them a good impression of us. Since they are apparently human, seeing us all as normal individuals being experimented on in cruel and unusual ways would hopefully rally them to a call. However, I myself do not know how I could contact anyone out there.
Another idea is taking things more into our own hands by breaching the barrier on the surface. That one has a different power source than the one surrounding the city, doesn't it? Vatheon itself is protected by energy exerted by the coral. If I knew what was powering the outer barrier, I could potentially come up with a way to get through it..

You've certainly come up with a few things that I've been keeping in mind too.
I believe though, before contacting the outside world, we should strive to make certain these scientists cannot interrupt that contact in any way. Besides, they should be brought to justice. There is a possibility that they will use us contacting the outside world as a cue to disappear completely.

I wonder if we could trap them somehow to keep them from escaping... Do the same that they've done to us.

I see. Station Master, is there any way possible we could loosen the restraints on abilities on at least one individual? My matesprit is capable of communing with beasts. If his psionic reach was allowed its true reach, I believe he could destroy their chances of escape in an excellently subtle manner.

It's pretty simple. You kill them first, moron. Basic means of survival really.
[Let's be honest she's not looking forward to dying herself]

It might not be that simple, Mindfang!

Why? Is your information that useless? I've found putting a blade into a vital organ is always a good plan. Do it repeatedly if unsure.

What do you need me to do?

Once we figure out a proper plan, I may need you to take control of things here.
no subject
What do you mean? You'll be taking control, I'll just be helping.
no subject
In that event, I would need you to be here.

[Equius is prepared to be stubborn about this!]
I could help with technology too!
