While the villains are away...
Seems like crime has taken a step up from just purse-snatching or someone stealing forty cakes when no one was looking. Those with a great sense of hearing or who happen to be at the wrong place at the right time will find that the good people of Vatheon are in danger. It's up to anyone who is willing to help to work together to save the day!
-Carol-
[In the lower district there were these warehouses lining along the barrier’s wall. One of them had a large neon sign with the words “Villains are here” flashing in lights. Anyone investigating the outside of the building will hear someone yelling for help.
Even if it’s obviously a trap, a hero must do their duty. And maybe clues about the real location of the nest of villains could be found.
The warehouse has been converted to a giant fun house with Indiana Jone’s Raiders of the Last Ark type traps. Getting help with navigating through this maze of traps and nurse themed goons would definitely be a good idea.
At the end of the maze, should people succeed, they will find Carol.]
-Hostage Hotel-
[A message will flash across the Starfish communicator asking for help.]
Help. At the Hotel they have guns
[Any messages sent in response will not be answered.
Seems that the city’s hotel has been taken over. The police are making a barrier and trying to negotiate, without any luck, with the crooks. They have the hotel owners and a their guests hostage on the top floor. They are armed, and very dangerous. Their demands include an escape route and a suitcase full of money.
Are you there to save the day or just get the scoop? Work together with the police or other heroes to save the day.]
-Like a bandit-
[There seems to be a burglar committing a string of crimes. They stole a rather large diamond from the jewelry store, money from the casino, and snatched a vase from an auction house. Thy only thing was a picture or a riddle for the scene of the next crime. The police are refusing to release the previous clues, but a reporter has managed to get a picture of the new message.]
What has branches and leaves and no bark?
-Anonymous Voice-
[A voice can be heard over everyone's communicator in the morning.]
There are twenty bombs hidden all over the city’s park. They will go off in a half hour. Find them before someone gets hurt.
[The caller might be using a synthesizer to disguise their voice, but locating them shouldn’t be a priority yet. Get those bombs out of the park before time runs out. Super speed or getting help would be beneficial for the ducks. Think of the ducks please.]
[They may also wind up stumbling or following a goon back to the actual secret base to listen in on a meeting at their own risk. Good luck!
((If you are open to being threadjacked, then please put Open in your subject line. If you have an idea already and want to play it out with a particular group of people, then please put Closed in your subject. Thank you.
Have fun playing out the scenarios, and feel free to drop a note in the subject line if Carol or the hotel owners are needed or if you believe characters may have solved the riddle! The location of the bombs is random and characters are encouraged to locate and defuse them on their own.))

Even the fairy wings were better than this. Sighing heavily, Carol presses herself up against the wall.]
How's this?
no subject
no subject
That should be good enough. Hold on a moment.
[And then- yep, he's jumping down! His impact will certainly make the floor shake, but no worries. He'll be there to help steady her if that's a problem.]
I'm going to take a hold of you, I hope you don't mind.
no subject
It's fine.

[He takes her in his well armored arms, crouches down, and then PCHOOOOOOO.]
[STRONG jump!]
[Super strength really is handy for all sorts of things. Once he lands back up out of the hole with a loud crash, he stabilizes himself before letting her go.]
Are you uninjured?
no subject
Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Let's just get out of here.

[Those rats sure are... something of a sight. Darkleer gets the idea, however. Out comes the energy bow again.]
Please stand back.
[Notch, aim, aaaaand FIRE! Well, more like another explosion bursting through the wall and sending debris hurtling about a bit.]
no subject
Thanks, hero.
[Should she sound more enthusiastic? Sorry, she can't manage it.]
no subject
[And when the dust clears- a voice...]
Mmm, yeah, thanks hero. [A rather- smarmy voice at that. Looks to be someone with- wow some mad horns and wings going on, sheesh- But other wise is in what looks to be a good amount of thick, faux leather. Pants, jacket, and a t-shirt underneath that just has a bull graphic logo on it.]
[He smiles, cocks his head, and his orange and gold eyes very quickly move to look at Carol, just as the rats swarm near him and disperse- likes rats normally wold act.]
Thank you very much~ [Giving you a once- twice over Carol. Helloooo dolly.]
no subject
It was no problem, ma'm.
no subject
Why? Why did she sign up for this?]
Well, don't want to keep you from all your... hero-ing. Later.
[Scurrying off now! And after a little thought, trying to cover her ass somewhat as she goes.]
no subject
Heh heh- Aww, covering it. [Shame.]
[He'll look back to Big Shot.]
Nice team work, big guy. I like someone that can take a little direction, heh.
no subject
[Honestly! Big Shot crosses his arms, clearly unimpressed, although he has to admit grudgingly-]
I suppose your control over animals is fairly impressive.
no subject
Not as impressive as your-
no subject
[Sorry, what, he's now sidetracked. It's hard to tell- all that armor and all- but he stiffens up slightly.]
My what?
no subject
So, suit's a custom job then? Think I've seen you before, but then, there's a lot of us flying around, bound to match a few faces, 'ey?
no subject
Yes. I managed to do it myself. I don't believe I've seen you, but, then again, you seem to rely on a more subtle power.
no subject
Yeah, more of a uh, ya know, DL person, these kinda jobs anyway. [Fitting in those hallways, come on, not happening.]
Like it, like the style, you do rentals?
no subject
[Turn]
I'm afraid not, it seems-
[Turn]
-a bit reckless to let anyone have something like this.
[Turn]
It's why I decided to do this myself. Stop that.
no subject
[Keeps moving.]
Well- I mean I'd love to-
[Continues.]
Take it for a test drive-
[Stops, stepping a little closer.]
But if not the suit, than what about what's inside?
no subject
[Just. Silence, as he stares down at Summoner. It takes him a while to unswallow his tongue.]
From what I understand, relationships between superheroes is often not an advisable thing, and there is also the factor of secret identities...
no subject
Got anything else but the suit, size, and smarts?
