Coral Restoration Log [closed to those in the teams]
Monday morning, bright and early, Station Master gathers those that signed on to help out, bringing them down via the elevator, before sealing it off, making it impossible for anyone to go up or down.
This is it. This is the day. We are going to fix the coral or... not fix it, really.
[ooc: please check each individual thread for more information. Also, as for the attack/defence part of the log, we are willing to play out the fights for you (apart from the NPC fight which will for sure be played out by us) however, we have given you the skills/attack patterns of the monsters, so if you'd rather, for the sake of speediness, play out the monster yourself, that is also fine, just let us know.]

Barrier
Barrier
In the water, he is stronger, and with ease can push the water away from the coral. But he can't hold it forever. He hasn't really had a chance to speak with the others assigned to the barrier, but he really hopes they can help hold the water back more stably.

This was his element. He could handle this--or so he hoped, anyway.]
You guys holding up alright with this?
HRRRGH ok i'm here
He can't break the words, but he holds up one hand in a sort of 'okay' gesture at the question. ]

[He's really impressed with the other two guys on his team, now that he's seeing them in action. He'll have to get to know them better when talking is easier.]
I'm good, just as long as you two are here too! Do we have to make this barrier more permanent, somehow?

That, and even if she's dissatisfied with the size of this drill, she is able to grow it with her space magic, carefully maneuvering the enlarged drill into the ground with this same space magic and keeping an eye on the progress. Don't want to accidentally hit anything important, after all.]
If you guys see anything off before I do, let me know, okay!
Re: Team North--Jade, Dirk, Leo, Guy (using brackets for speed gomen)
Now this is some team work.
Mod OK'd - hooray for OOC tags getting eaten. x_X
Hang on. Lemme try this on one of the cracks!
[A certain girl, who had caught up with the group just before they left, pulled a drill out, jamming it directly into the crack and starting it up.]
If this works, we'll be down in no time!

Attack/Defense
Thalassino.
She seems far more serious, far more driven than most have ever seen her, a staff in one hand. Her voice is loud (amplified by magic?) so all can hear her.
"I'm afraid I can't let you do that. I need this experiment to fail. Abandon these attempts now. I won't be holding back."
She doesn't give much time for discussion or even retreating. With a few intricate gestures of her staff, she aims at the water in front of the building she is standing on, and there rise three creatures, seemingly made from water. Each creature has a core, covered in ice, something bright and shining in the middle of that core of ice.
And without any further word, she attacks, aiming for one of the teams herself, while her creatures take on one individual team each.
West
Its ice core, its only weak spot (how could you even think to injure water!) is in its chest, covered by the thickest layer of ice. Seems like this will be a test of endurance, a chip of ice at a time to break down this brute.

"Of course..." Time for a more hands-on approach.
The whip shortened and hardened as the leather changed to steel and the vampire leapt into the air, aiming to drive the blade into the ice at the center of the water creature. The blade barely chipped the thick ice, but it did manage to cause the thing to take a couple steps back simply from the force of Johnny's momentum.
He landed easily enough on his feet, but he could already tell his particular choice of weapons weren't going to make this very easy. "Hmmmm....what a fun little party we've got here." Hopefully one of the others had something more useful in their arsenal.

"Slash the enemy with a sword of lightning – Thunder Blade!"
Tellingly, a sword of lightning emerged from the ground and swung to the side, cutting through the creature's watery membrane and making contact with the icy coat of its core before dissipating. The water, too, conducted some of the magic's current, and when all was done there sounded a faint but satisfactory crack.
It was still far from finishing the job.
The creature reared back with a reverberating cry, then struck hard ahead, using the momentum of its swing to hit, and, failing that, tackle its nearest target with its massive body. It was a fierce move, meant to compensate for the distance Johnny had created between itself and its foes.

East
Much like the giant, it has an ice core, its only weak spot. The ice covering it is rather thin. One good hit and it could fracture. But where the water of the giant is clear and easy to see through, the water making up this creature is murkier, making it harder to spy the core unless you manage to mark the original copy in some way. Else you'll be stuck whacking down copies until you hit the right one!

The words heralded Daimon Masaru leaping out to strike at the water-like golem, digi-soul flaring around his fist. He threw a punch at the creature, which rippled through the water and caused it to "explode" out the back...
npc account used with permission
As Masaru stared, dumbfounded, the second "beast" whipped out with one of its vaguely formed arms, extending it outward and... well, grabbing Masaru by the face.
The street fighter let out a choked yell as he was thrown back into the nearest wall.

South
Much like its brethren, it has an icy core that is its only weak spot. The ice covering the core is neither thick nor thin. A few good strikes should take care of it. Hard to hit it though when it has this arsenal of weaponry. Luckily, in its ferocity, it also seems to be, well, put it mildly the dumbest of the three creatures. Perhaps a distraction is in order here?
Re: South
"A distraction," she muttered aloud in her male voice. She pulled her pistol out and loaded it. She had made sure to have plenty of ammo before coming down here.
"I'll take point," She told them, "I'll try to keep it's eyes on me. It'll give you two a chance to attack."
Naoto, Saber, Angelo for order? And are we doing the NPC ourselves?
To be honest, Naoto looked unable to handle herself if she was directly attacked. A Heroic Spirit such as Saber would have no issues if she was harmed.
Grimacing briefly, the knight looked towards the creature. A dragon. Or, maybe one. Marked with the Factor of the Dragon, Saber wasn't the most effective against them as she would be with anything else. For this, though, Saber was not too concerned.
Saber's sword had been in her hands, already encased in swirling winds. The golden blade had no reason to be seen yet, so Invisible Air both shielded it and helped power the blows of it. Dashing forward in a flash of green, Saber ran up to the creature.
Several icy whips struck out, but the Heroic Spirit was easily able to dodge and weave between them. Not bothering to go after the whips, Saber charged directly to the large ice dragon.
The core of the creature had caught her attention through instinct, so that's where the knight prepared to jump towards. If it was a weak point, it'd have to be exposed.
We can npc the dragon, so it's easier.
Alright. Sounds good to me.
I am very new at this group battle thing, so forgive me if I goof.
It's okay, I haven't done this before myself. ;; So I apologize too.
I've done some group fighting in a past community. I'll try to help where I can.
I'm trying not to do too much with Saber, but she's.. very determined/straight forward/strong. x_x

leaving the end of my post open. this is the third attack on the core, so it could be finished?
Yeah, that's fine.
So... calling this last round attack with everyone just pretty much collapsing at the end?

North
"Run now and your lives will be spared."
Kill her, capture her, try and reason with her? The choice is up to you.
Eridan->Tiir->Minako
"Our liwes? Pfft, please." He says arrogantly as he steps forward, hand reaching for the clasps of his cape. He wastes no time undoing them, and with a dramatic whirl of purple fabric, the mantle is soaring behind him, before landing in a heap in the water.
"You'll be beggin' for yours once I'm done with you, but I'll giwe you some comfortin' words, Tha: if you beg real nice-like, I might not kill you in a torturous fashion." He gloats with an arrogant tone thick enough to slice. He takes his wand in hand, wasting no time aiming it at her. White light engulfs his hand and a good portion of his arm, as he charges for the attack. He can feel his power surging within him, honestly. It's been so long since he's been able to use this pent up energy, far too long really. Who better to expend such energy on, than the person promising to steal away what he's worked so hard for?
With nothing holding him back, he sends out his first of many torrents of self proclaimed 'holy fire' at her. The energy gushing towards her in wisps of swirling light, scorching its way to her. She can play with her ice all she wants, but it's nothing in the face of his scathing light, he's absolutely sure of it.
no subject
"I'm afraid I don't care much for accepting my opponent's mercy," he says nonchalantly, appearing as at ease as ever. That said, there's a certain sharpness in his expression that indicates that he has no qualms about killing her either, even if not in a "torturous fashion". Really, that's more effort than he cares to put it in for an enemy like this.
Tiir would move to attack, but when Eridan begins using magic, he steps back. After all, it would be rather counterproductive to absorb his ally's magic when it's not aimed specifically for him. He'll have to wait for a chance to attack.
