Coral Restoration Log [closed to those in the teams]

Monday morning, bright and early, Station Master gathers those that signed on to help out, bringing them down via the elevator, before sealing it off, making it impossible for anyone to go up or down.

This is it. This is the day. We are going to fix the coral or... not fix it, really.

[ooc: please check each individual thread for more information. Also, as for the attack/defence part of the log, we are willing to play out the fights for you (apart from the NPC fight which will for sure be played out by us) however, we have given you the skills/attack patterns of the monsters, so if you'd rather, for the sake of speediness, play out the monster yourself, that is also fine, just let us know.]

Naoto stumbled back as she saw the creature before them. Damn, what could she do? She noticed that it didn't seem to be exactly smart as it "stood" before them. She looked to her team mates: Sword wielders. Angelo's appeared to be a rapier while Saber's seemed to be a broadsword. The two of them wouldn't be able to easily get close to it without-

"A distraction," she muttered aloud in her male voice. She pulled her pistol out and loaded it. She had made sure to have plenty of ammo before coming down here.

"I'll take point," She told them, "I'll try to keep it's eyes on me. It'll give you two a chance to attack."

"I.. disagree," Saber returned, shaking her head towards the one beside her. She knew little beside Naoto's name. "I feel I would be a much better distraction, but do as you wish. Please be safe."

To be honest, Naoto looked unable to handle herself if she was directly attacked. A Heroic Spirit such as Saber would have no issues if she was harmed.

Grimacing briefly, the knight looked towards the creature. A dragon. Or, maybe one. Marked with the Factor of the Dragon, Saber wasn't the most effective against them as she would be with anything else. For this, though, Saber was not too concerned.

Saber's sword had been in her hands, already encased in swirling winds. The golden blade had no reason to be seen yet, so Invisible Air both shielded it and helped power the blows of it. Dashing forward in a flash of green, Saber ran up to the creature.

Several icy whips struck out, but the Heroic Spirit was easily able to dodge and weave between them. Not bothering to go after the whips, Saber charged directly to the large ice dragon.

The core of the creature had caught her attention through instinct, so that's where the knight prepared to jump towards. If it was a weak point, it'd have to be exposed.

Angelo dealt with his fair share of dragons back home, so this was nothing new for him. Even if Saber had prepared herself to jump at the core, Angelo took out his bow and had already begun firing multi-shots of arrows at its core. The barrage of arrows should be enough to weaken it, just a little hopefully.

"I doubt either of you have dealt with dragons, so leave this up to me."

Well... While she had never had to deal with a dragon per say, she had dealt with a vengeful goddess out to destroy the world. That and... Well, needless to say, she had a secret weapon just in case her bullets didn't do enough.

"Speed is needed for distraction," she told them using her male voice again, "Speed keeps them busy and tires them out. That leaves an opening for you to attack easier."

Speed would be no problem.

Her revolver loaded she pulled her cap down and pulled the trigger. She aimed to try and distract it from the other two. She started firing shots at the monster, running to its side to keep it from looking at the other two.

Saber had dealt with much worse than dragons. Angelo's comment barely reaches her, but she's none too pleased with hearing it.

As Naoto mentioned, speed was key here. The knight in blue had already decided that this creature wasn't much of a worry; it seemed ridiculously slow in its reactions, and was not the most cunning..

Angelo's arrows landed truthfully enough to cause the core to be exposed for all of a few seconds, a strike of Saber's sword connecting as she jumped upwards with unnatural ability. With a shriek, the monster immediately focused on Saber and a large slab of ice was thrown at her.

The ice slab was dodged, but Saber had to jump back a considerable amount to do so. The knight was no longer close enough to the creature to strike it for the time being.

Angelo had dealt with not only dragons, but the minions and the lord of darkness himself on top of all the foes he faced down. Yet he took Naoto's words as sort of advice, since working with a team had been something he'd grown accustom to back home. While he didn't want to get in the others' way, he knew he had to do something.

Since the beast seemed to be slow, he quickly put his bow away and cast a Swoosh spell, which consisted of him being surrounded by chains of strange symbols and a blue light at his feet. Once the spell had been cast, a giant tornado then surrounded the dragon with powerful winds before Angelo brought his hands together then leaped into the air. In his hands appeared a ball of light which he threw down as light pillars surrounded the dragon, then from the heavens came down a large beams of light to hit the dragon as Angelo made his descent back down to the ground.

Naoto saw that Angelo had elemental spells. Knowing this would be extremely helpful for her. She wasn't sure how much she could do on her own she had already noticed that her bullets were doing little to effect it.

However, while she was contemplating what she was going to do, one of the whips smacked her, slamming her into a nearby wall. She groaned as she felt to the ground, struggling to get up again. Her head spun and throbbed slightly and her back sent a shooting pain through her entire body.

No, this would have to happen now. She knew she would be slowed down some, but her "secret weapon" needed to come out sooner than anticipated.

Looking at the two, the young detective cast Heat Riser on her two teammates for this battle, feeling about an eighth of her energy drain. They would see a light shine around them briefly before feeling slightly stronger and more invigorated. She winced as she felt her back screaming at her. She the cast Mind Charge on herself, feeling a little more of her energy drain.

"Angelo!" she shouted, trying to dodge a second and third whip that snapped out her, "If you have a decent fire spell, shoot it at some water! I need fog!"

Unconcerned with the beam that struck the enemy, Saber immediately began to work her way back towards the dragon.

Naoto was thrown back and likely harmed, and the knight was about to go assist the girl when.. she heard the request for assistance with magic. Not a fan of magic in general, Saber decided to leave the two to their own devices and continue on her own path.

The weak point was all that mattered, and Saber did not doubt in the least that she could work the monster down with no assistance.

Suddenly encompassed in a flash of green, energy began to pulsate off of her as she used her increased speed to easily dodge both whip and ice. Another vertical jump and horizontal slash, and the monster was screaming in agony. The core was attempting to cover its shield, but it was still cracked and the force of Saber's blade was enough to destroy the weak barrier that attempted to regrow and slash the core at the same time.

This time, the knight launched herself backwards from the creature as the wind around her blade expelled itself and she was catapulted backwards a fair distance. Saber landed easily and took the moment to observe.

Angelo ran to Naoto's side having seen that she was hit into a wall, he immediately casts a healing spell on her so she will feel her wounds being fixed and her energy returning to her. However, he also heard her request, but frowns.

"Unfortunately, I do not know how to cast fire magic. My primary sources are light and wind, however I do have another ability that might distract it temporarily."

After healing Naoto, Angelo ran back towards the dragon and pulled out his Shamshir of Light. He saw how hard Saber was fighting, knowing he had to help her while the creature had become weaker. Angelo placed one hand on his Shamshir before twirling it quickly then slamming it into the ground. He is also encircled by strange patterns until said circle stretches outward and makes what appear to be a circle of light around him. From that moment, the light becomes lightning and rains down on the dragon, making it scream as Saber had done before. However after using so much of his energy, Angelo fell to his knees with a pant. He couldn't keep this up for much longer, yet he knew he had to.

No fire? Damn it! Naoto thought she was out of luck. As she was healed she watched the battle, trying to figure out what she could do.

That's when she saw it.

She saw as the light that Angelo caused became lightning. Some of it his areas around that had water and created the steam and fog that she required. She was not completely left without something.

She smirked some before putting on a pair of blue-rimmed glasses. Before her, she watched a glowing card fall before stopping just in front of her. She pulled out her revolver and not only aimed for the card, but the monster as well. Her eyes squint just slightly.

"PERSONA!" she shouts, firing through the card.

As it explodes, the bullet continues toward the monster. But that's not the only thing that emerges. With a bright glow of white and deep purple, a largish humanoid figure that appeared almost soldier like took form. It unsheathed it's katana and took to the skies as the young detective kept firing her gun.

"Yamato-Takeru!" she cried out. Mentally her command would be heard by the figure.

It took its blade in hand and made giant slices at the monstrous dragon. Naoto stayed near the building she had been thrown against for support. She had felt the drain of both energy and a chunk of her heath as well. She continued to dodge whips and fire bullets. Soon after that it called upon Megidaon, a triangle of light and dark energies swirling over and down onto the creature, exploding and causing it great pain.

Saber's eyes and instincts allowed her to adjust to everything that was going on in the battle, no matter how ridiculous it seemed. Naoto had summoned something like a familiar, and now it was assisting.

The knight had temporarily stepped out of the fight while Angelo and Naoto had cast their spells. Saber had worked with magi before, but they were still the hardest of all fighters to accommodate and mesh with in battle. Her Charisma rank allowed her to work with her allies to the best of her and their ability, but she was naturally incompatible with magic users.

This.. triangle of light and dark, though, it left the ice dragon reeling and Saber saw her opportunity. The desire to finish it off and make sure of it was strong, but to use Excalibur would cause Saber to be lacking in energy for quite some time.. and it was not needed here.

The winds swirling around her blade intensified as the knight kicked off the ground and shot towards the monster. With an elegant leap up, Saber aimed her sword towards the core. The wind was released with a thunderous clap as the pressure would hammer into the core, followed by a very precise and vicious stab with the blade's tip.

Watching the other two fight from his spot, he casts Oomph on both of them which doubles their attack power before his knees give out. He collapsed having used all his energy, but he seemed content with helping them win the fight. Then slowly, his eyes begin closing as he loses conscious from the spot he's laying at. They can finish off the dragon without him, he's sure.

Naoto watched as Angelo fell. He had helped greatly, and she knew that she wouldn't be far behind. Just summoning Yamato-Takeru had taken a chunk out of her energy. Along with that, she had called two attacks. Her energy was down to half and her health was down to about 80 percent from what the fallen fighter had healed her to.

"Yamato-Takeru! Vorpal Blade!"

The flying being took their sword out once more. The sword seemed to shimmer as it sliced hard into the what the young detective prayed was a dying monster. Its screams pierced the air around them. It was not long after this that the creature known as Yamato-Takeru vanished in the way it had arrived.

Naoto felt her energy drain again, her own legs giving out. Her health also plummeted down to about 60 percent. She coughed some, her back starting to throb again and her head starting to pound and spin. The teen leaned back against the wall, depleted a great deal. She could walk in time, but for the moment, she had little to no strength. For the moment, she just laid her head back against the stone and closed her eyes for a few moments, if only to try and get some energy back.

Her teammates were down. They didn't seem to be harmed, just.. exhausted. With an accepting nod, Saber charged the hurting monster. Its reflexes were slowed down even more, so it was easy for the knight to dance through the moving whips and thrown ice blocks. She was able to deliver a final, heavy slash to the core as the creature released an anguished scream and then fell.

Saber's back turned towards the creature even before it could begin to disintegrate, beginning to look in all directions for someone to relay a message that they needed a healer. The knight was sure her teammates would be fine, but it was best to be certain.

They both had fought well to their capacities, and she appreciated that even though she didn't show it.

We can npc the dragon, so it's easier.

I've done some group fighting in a past community. I'll try to help where I can.

I'm trying not to do too much with Saber, but she's.. very determined/straight forward/strong. x_x
