Coral Restoration Log [closed to those in the teams]
Monday morning, bright and early, Station Master gathers those that signed on to help out, bringing them down via the elevator, before sealing it off, making it impossible for anyone to go up or down.
This is it. This is the day. We are going to fix the coral or... not fix it, really.
[ooc: please check each individual thread for more information. Also, as for the attack/defence part of the log, we are willing to play out the fights for you (apart from the NPC fight which will for sure be played out by us) however, we have given you the skills/attack patterns of the monsters, so if you'd rather, for the sake of speediness, play out the monster yourself, that is also fine, just let us know.]

Coral restoration
Team South - Washu, Darkleer, Tech, Dwight
"Unless anyone has any better ideas," he adds politely as the robot starts to rev up its drill.

The Cleaner just look flatly at mole, "Hey...I'm not going to complain."
Team South - Washu, Darkleer, Tech, Dwight
"This seems as efficient as any of my immediate solutions. Carry on."
Team South - Washu, Darkleer, Tech, Dwight
"It works for me. My way would result in molten rock."

The drillingbot looks as annoyed as a robot possibly can with Washu's poking, politely trying to swat her away just slightly before it began to get to work. It wasn't... elegant, by any means, but it was fast, drilling through the concrete. To make matters go through quicker for the others, Darkleer began to assist as well, moving entire chunks of rock out of the way. They had enough engineers on hand, clearly, so he would focus on using his more physical talents for now.

"The so-called heart of the coral, no doubt. I imagine it's going to offer some fascinating insights as to the nature of its construction--perhaps even answer some of our lingering questions." Naturally, that meant that he didn't really know, but such trivialities weren't going to tamper his enthusiasm for discovery.

In the mean time, she focused her attention to the other two lucky enough to be on a team with the greatest scientific genius in her known universe. "I'm pretty sure it will answer questions. And raise some more." She shrugged a little and glanced towards the growing hole. "But, from what I gathered we will see some sort of attempt at combining nature and technology."

As he got up to the top again, he glanced down into the hole. "They certainly did put some rather strong material beneath the street, but I'll have it broken through in a short while. What items did the rest of you bring?" Washu, he doesn't doubt has a vast majority of things hidden up her sleeve. Tech and Dwight were a little more unknown.

"I brought anything I could get my hands on....just nothing as fancy as a robot." He wasn't exactly used to sharing whatever he had with people he knew- people he'd just met or barely knew? Yeah not going to get much out of him beyond 'stuff'.
no subject
He clicked the safety back and forth between stable and fir--er, boring modes. "Just, uh, don't aim it at the coral."
no subject
The genius just smiles as Dwight and Tech mentioned tools and just gave Tech's device a quick glance. "A cute little device~. You might even get to use it."
Meanwhile, she's just.. waiting for Darkleer to finish his work so they can get started~.

Team Eaaast--Jade, Dirk, Leo, Guy (using brackets for speed gomen)
That, and even if she's dissatisfied with the size of this drill, she is able to grow it with her space magic, carefully maneuvering the enlarged drill into the ground with this same space magic and keeping an eye on the progress. Don't want to accidentally hit anything important, after all.]
If you guys see anything off before I do, let me know, okay!
Re: Team North--Jade, Dirk, Leo, Guy (using brackets for speed gomen)
Now this is some team work.
Mod OK'd - hooray for OOC tags getting eaten. x_X
Hang on. Lemme try this on one of the cracks!
[A certain girl, who had caught up with the group just before they left, pulled a drill out, jamming it directly into the crack and starting it up.]
If this works, we'll be down in no time!

Instead, he stands close, occasionally flashstepping in and back away again when a chunk of rubble is broken off in a piece small enough to move, all the while keeping an eye out for any sign of mechanics.]
It's only likely to be a few feet at best, so careful where you're flailing things.
no subject
If we can get in there and have a look around, we can figure out how much space we're really going to need. Don't get too crazy.
[Guy's in about the same situation as Dirk - besides, he's more prepped for smaller work, not heavy-duty destruction... unless they wanted a controlled explosion, and that wasn't looking to be helpful right now. So for the moment, he only keeps an eye out, moving what rubble he can. Might as well let the girls (and Leo) have at it until they had a better look of what they were working on.
Well. As long as nothing else broke in the process.]

[And she shrinks the Big-Ass Drill back down to its normal size to put it back in her sylladex. The surface broke open nicely enough, with the hammer and the other drill going at it, they should have a cozy little hole to climb down soon enough.]
I can't wait to see what's down there, I would have never thought that the coral was a machine.
[Someone's a little excited.]
no subject
From what I understand, it's not. It just has machines kibitzed all over it!
*After a bit, Pascal stops.*
Those are what we're going to need to fix - and quickly!
no subject
Let's get to it. If anyone needs a tool that they don't already have or any replacement pieces, just ask me and I can get it. [He triumphantly taps his tool belt] I've got it covered.
no subject
[Dirk leans in toward the hole to try and get a good glimpse of what's inside.]
Can't say for sure 'til we know what shit we're dealing with, but sounds like you've got shit in hand regardless. Now c'mon, let's see if there's poison gas or wire traps waiting for us.
[And despite that very negative statement, Dirk immediately steps forward and starts to make his way down to the bottom of the hole. Being a skinny teenager comes in handy sometimes.]
no subject
[Guy's only steps behind Dirk, flashlight pulled out and immediately flicked on the minute the teen stepped forward. He might not have a good view from here at the very moment, but the light should at least get Dirk a decent view of the cavern below them. Guy's not too keen on just relying on the coral's glow to light their work.]
no subject
I can go last, I have a light of my own. [And she flicks up a green glow of space magic to illustrate her point.]
no subject
Oh! Just gotta kachunk a buncha wires back into place! Preferably without electricy death! That's not so bad!
