I've just been thinking about it. I've been thinking about a lot of things, actually. It's funny how that happens when you have a lot of time to lose yourself in your own mind.

I always kinda regretted it, not getting married. Having a mom would've been good for you and Yukio.

Whatever you wanna do, I'm fine with it. But... try not to beat yourself up so much 'bout how you raised us. I coulda turned out a lot worse. And God knows Yukio is about as perfect as you can make a kid.

Yukio is a good kid, but he's far from perfect.

And it's in a father's nature to worry anyway. If I lived long enough to see you two turn fifty I think I would still worry.

Don't be stupid, we had lights and pens and non-crank cars. The only thing we didn't have were cell phones and the internet, everything else has been mostly the same.
