What: Bar HOMRA's doors are always open to anyone who feels they need a bit of a drink. Nothing's changed about that, except today you might find a little something extra going on behind those open doors. For today is owner, Izumo Kusanagi's 27th birthday! And his ~~no longer dead~~ friends aren't going to let the day go by without a bit of celebration.

So whether you know Izumo, are looking for that usual drink, or want dibs on a slice of free cake, come on by to Bar HOMRA tonight!

[That'll make this easier for Tatara then! The fact that Shiro might be underage never really crossed his mind. Let's just not tell Kusanagi-san about this, okay?

Shiro trusts him? Didn't they sorta just really meet? His smile widens a little.]

Alright.

[And so he pours the wine, making sure not to spill. That'd be messy... Finished, he straightens, leaving the bottle on the counter.]

Drink up.

[He's only underage by a very strange technicality. Otherwise he's actually older than the combined ages of HOMURA.

But yes, Shiro trusts him, because honestly if you were going to do something to the person partially responsible for your death, chances were you wouldn't be so damn friendly.

Unless you were really manipulative. And everything that had ever been said about Tatara had pointed to exactly the opposite.]

[He's physically underage. That's usually what people count.

Aah, but he's this friendly when a lady is half strangling him and scratching his neck too! He'll become your friend, Shiro, just wait. You'll be an honorary member of HOMRA.

He waves a hand.]

It's no trouble.

[He'd probably still look underage even if he was an adult. Forever young and all that.

Though becoming an honorary member of HOMRA... would that really be okay? He has his doubts about being truly welcome there.]

How has the party been so far?

[Yes, small talk over wine, this is good.]

[Quite probably.

If Tatara is the one to ask, the others would most likely think it okay. After finding out Shiro isn't the Colorless King, of course.]

It's been fun! It's interesting seeing who knows Kusanagi-san and who is here for something else.

[He hasn't known a few of them, but that's never really bothered him.]

[Izumo, Anna, and Suoh know at least. That does help.]

Aa... is he making friends here alright? I don't check up on him as much as I feel like I should.

[Why does he feel like he needs to check up on Kusanagi-san...?

So all Tatara needs to do is ask before others show up, and Shiro will be allowed!

He blinks, smiling a moment after, still leaning on the counter.]

I think so. I haven't been here for very long at all.

[Less than two weeks.]

[Just that they all arrived around roughly the same time and they're from the same world. And he knows the Red Clan can be a bit isolationist.]

Ah, that's right. When did you get here?

[Ah, that makes sense then. Keep tabs on them to make sure they aren't just talking to each other...

He blinks, thinking for a moment.]

Eleven days ago. So March 31st!

[Since Kusanagi-san's birthday is the tenth of April.]

[More or less.]

Ohh, yes, that wasn't that long ago at all. Seems like you're settling in alright though.

[He grins.]

Of course. King, Kusanagi-san, and Anna are here! It's not everyone, but it is...well, part of HOMRA.

[It's the other two who made HOMRA, and the little girl they saved and adopted. That makes settling in so much easier.]

Others may show up yet. I remember Yata-san was here for a time, and I hear people can often come and go.

Yata was?

[He blinks and looks at the ground. Hopefully Saru-kun wasn't here when Yata was. That could have been...bad.]

There's no way to know when someone'll leave, is there? Or when they'll arrive...

[He almost wishes he'd arrived back when Yata was still here. Just to tell him sorry again and give the younger Red clansman some more good memories. He knows that Yata probably felt/feels guilty because of that day.]

For a short time. ... he punched me a lot harder than I was expecting him to.

[But that means he was... expecting Yata to punch him.

Oh Shiro.]

No... not at all. But hopefully he'll return. I'm sure he'd like to see you again.

[...Well, it is Yata they're talking about.

Tatara rubs the back of his head, laughing.]

I think Yata might punch me too, when he returns. He's like that, you know?

[And he'd apologize when he sees him. He didn't want to leave him like that.

He will be here. He doesn't care about what he's heard of this place, how you can't choose when to leave. He will stay with his family.]

I'm starting to think that's how he says hello.

[Shiro wishes he could have that much confidence about things. He's become really disillusioned to the idea that he has any control over anything.]

[He laughs again.]

Sometimes it is!

[He kinda didn't expect to like Shiro this much already. Maybe he should ask King...

Well, if he does leave, "It's fine, it's fine. It'll all work out somehow." right?]

[Somehow, sure.]
