[Rin doesn't look at Shing. He's been having that problem a lot lately - meeting the gazes of his friends when all he can reflect back is sadness and worry.]

... hey. I know it's hard to really believe right now, but it'll be okay, I promise.

[ Shing places a hand encouragingly on Rin's shoulder, smiling sadly. ]

I think all you can really do is take it one step at a time. I know it's gonna be awkward, and... it'll be hard, too. Just... start small, if it helps. Talking just about whatever comes to mind. It'll get easier as you, Yukio and your mother get used to each other...

And try not to worry about it so much... I do think that all of you will be just fine. I truly believe it.

[He wants to believe Shing, he really does, but he can't really bring himself to just yet. Maybe when things aren't so tense it will be easier to know he's speaking the truth, but right then all Rin can think about is how difficult the holidays are going to be with the way Yukio is acting.

All the more so considering just how strange it would be to be alive again after dying. Yeah. Strange days. ]

[Rin obviously doesn't care. Yukio is pretty much just that, and as much as he loves his brother it still gets on his nerves. A lot.]
