At his question Night glances back at Kid, looking as if he's smirking a little. Odd.]

[The longer he pets this strange, horned cat, the less he cares to puzzle out how it got in the Villa. He's succumbing to Proximity to Feline again.

Shit. Be strong, Kid! Focus!]

Ah--now that I think of it, isn't there another cat that belongs to Maka and Rin?

Mrrrr... [Tail flick. He isn't going to answer right now. Just purr.

And maybe butt his cold, cute nose against Kid's hand. Adorable.]

[Completely certain he's now solved that little mystery, he can relax, for certain definitions involving Kid relaxing. As attentive as he is determined to distribute evenly that attention, a scritch behind one ear warrants one behind the other.

Hope you don't object to being carried around and cuddled. One might think Kid would object to having pets around because fur gets on clothing (and stands out often very well on black), but there is a lint brush in his inventory and he is never afraid to use it.]

I'm sure they won't mind if I borrow you a moment. Now, I'm certain I saw some ribbon around here somewhere.

['Ribbon?' He stiffens suddenly when he realizes Kid could probably hear that. Instantly he goes back to the silent treatment, now a tad bit more tense in Kid's arms. Whoops.]

[Low purr, keeping up the silent treatment still. He casts a look up at Kid, unsure what he needed ribbon for.

If it's going around his neck he will fight you first.]

[He eventually settles down near some leftover wrapping paper and other supplies someone had forgotten to put away, and from a messy little pile of scraps he plucks a red ribbon.

Here it comes, Night. You're doomed, doom--

No, wait, he's just trying to tease him with it, the way one takes a piece of string to entice a playful housecat.]

[Judging from the way he's shooting sideways glares at the mess, he intends on doing that sooner rather than later.]
