[Even with the curse going on and the myriad of new arrivals and new residents to that well known house in Vatheon, it's actually been more or less calm there. Not exactly quiet, but calm. Which is always nice to start the month of December with.

[Honestly he kind of noticed how much she's changed over the last few weeks of being here, but he's never commented on it. It either means Rin's been good for her or she's just that used to him not being here. Soul briefly entertains the thought of getting his own place to save her the bother as he opens the bag, examining the contents.

Subtly he shifts up, head leaning against her a little as he rolls the candy cane around his mouth.]

[If he spent any amount of time around Rin, he would probably realize that without the studiousness and cleanliness, the boy is essentially a male version of Maka. No, the reason for her placidity comes from a topic she hasn't even broached with her partner yet.

She's not sure if she even can broach it.]

Hmm? I guess the fishy knock-offs wouldn't do anything, yeah. But we have a video store, you can rent movies from there. We have a video game console too, I think.

[There's a lot of things about Maka's time here that Soul still doesn't know, but it's not really his business. She'll tell him when she's ready. In the meantime he trusts Rin to take care of her in his stead. Hey, he's been doing a good job so far by the looks of it.
