Who: Serph and YOU
Where: In the Plaza
When: On the 12th!
Style: [action] preferred, but I'll match!
Status: OPEN
[It's been a long time since Serph's disappearance. Maybe it seemed like he wasn't going to be coming back to Vatheon.
But if you happen to be passing through the Plaza, there's someone appearing out of thin air and... falling into one of the fountains with a great splash. If you're curious enough to look at the water, it's gaining a reddish tinge.
...Yeah, that's blood mixing with the water.
But wait long enough, and there's a guy pulling himself out of the fountain, looking like a drowned rat. There's a break in his abdominal armour. But while there are some stubborn bits of blood at the break's edges, there's no wound in the flesh underneath; the skin is unmarked, like it had been healed perfectly.
Serph's back. And he's alive.
...And totally dripping water all over the Plaza again.]

HHHHUUUURRRK!! Serph's died once, only to be crushed to death!? He doesn't quite respond with the same immediacy he usually would; he's amazed he's even alive. In fact, while Johnny is busy squeezing all the air from his lungs, Serph's trying to remember just who this guy is.]

I said you'd come back! Ah~ I'm glad you didn't dissap-
[Wait. That is definitely blood he smells. Now he's going to hold you at arms length and check you over.]
Why do you smell like blood?
no subject
Now that he can get a better look at the man, Serph does recognise him now. Starting with a J... Joneses? Jonathan? Johnny? Isn't that the name of the Lokapala vendor...? He answers, a little dumbfounded at all this.]
There was a battle.
no subject
Don't mind if he kinda feels you up right now...just to make sure you're okay.]
Yeah? Looks like you lost it, lightning bug.
[But there's no actual injury he can find...so you're off the hook for a lecture.]
KEYWORDS
Ha ha ha... had there really been any winners and losers in that encounter? Just a lot of understanding and lack of it. Karma... it seems he's had a lot of it to pay. Serph only hopes it was enough.
He tilts his head.]
Lightning bug?
[Cielo's the one with the electric alignment, though...]
Rude! He's not staring! (Right now)
Yeah, lighting bugs have glowing butts. Last time I checked, your tattoo was on your butt, and it glows, so you're a lightning bug~
[Logic. Also, he'd be willing to check again, if you wanted...
In the meantime, have another arm-full of vampire. Less bone-crushing this time.]
I missed you. Don't leave again, okay? There were a lot of people who were sad because of you.

There's a small twinge of guilt. Not because he left Vatheon; he hadn't had any choice over that. No, he's a little guilty over what he's left behind in "Nirvana". Leaving the Tribe... that was his choice. He didn't have time to explain then, but he knows they'd be strong enough to keep going without him.
The pensive look lingers for a brief moment, before Serph replaces it with a small smile.]
Sorry for my absence.
[Johnny had been sad, hadn't he?]
I'm here now.

Only a little while ago, the vampire had counted him as one of his only friends...he was glad he didn't have to loose that.
He brought his hands up to Serph's face and pressed his lips against the other man's.
...because that's how you tell someone how much you care. Obviously.]

EXCUSE ME.
BUT WHAT.
As much as he searches his fragmented memories, Serph doesn't remember ever being kissed before.
. . . Okay Johnny's forked tongue had felt really weird when he'd licked a wound on his arm before, but that's nothing compared to now. The fuck is that thing on Johnny's tongue!? Serph isn't about to push Johnny away -- he knows the vampire is very... touchy feely -- but he definitely isn't reciprocating. Not that he really needs to; Johnny is enthusiastic enough for the both of them.]

[Don't look now boys but there's a completely irate Hylian storming over from the same shop Johnny had waltzed out of a few minutes ago, a paper bag swinging wildly from one arm as Sola stomps right over and yanks Johnny back from Serph by that ridiculous leash necklace of his.]
What are you doing?! Crowley is one thing but why do you have to go kissing other people all the time?! It's fine to have friends! It's good, even! But you should only kiss me!
[The bag of groceries is unceremoniously shoved against the vampire's chest, eggs and milk crunching and splattering through the bag with the force of Sola's arm. He'd overlooked the fact that Johnny seemed to go even beyond the regular call of duty for friends, that Johnny deigned himself the Vatheon vampire community juice box, even the inordinate amount of time that Johnny had left him to his own devices at the masquerade ball despite the fact that it was supposed to be a date. But this. This is the last straw.]
If you can't even do that why did you even agree to be my matesprit?! You're such a fucking jerk! Make your own stupid cake!
[With another shove of the already dripping paper bag, hard enough to force the vampire back a step, Sola turns heel and runs full tilt anywhere but here. He can't even look at Johnny's stupid everyone-else-kissing face right now.
Sorry you had to get stuck in the middle of that, Serph.]
no subject
He usually had a 50/50 shot on actually thinking something through. This time he messed up.
The vampire sighed and moved the bag so it wouldn't drip on him and used his free hand to rub at his neck where the leash had pulled. He'd have to go back and replace whatever had been damaged.]
Sorry.
[For the fight he just got stuck in and maybe the kiss too. A little bit.]

When Sola storms off and leaves them behind, Serph shrugs off Johnny's apology with a shake of his head.]
It's fine.
[His gaze goes to where Sola had left, though. Serph knows Johnny is the physical kind, so he isn't terribly bothered by being kissed, though he hopes Johnny won't make a habit of it. Serph doesn't know Sola well enough to know whether Sola understands that or not. Either way, it's clear Sola expects Johnny to only keep it to him, but it doesn't sound like Johnny is consciously aware of this expectation.]
You two haven't talked about your expectations of each other, have you?
no subject
[He looked from Serph to where Sola had run off to and shook his head.]
No...we've never really talked about...well much of it at all.
[Which probably wasn't the best idea...but, on different levels, neither of them really knew what they were doing.
He knew that...traditionally speaking, he was expected to go after Sola and try to patch things up.
But...maybe it was better if he didn't.
He shook his head again and pushed the thoughts away for now, offering a small smile to Serph.]
Either way, I had meant for a better welcome back than that~
no subject
I hadn't expected a welcome at all.
[Because. You know. Dead. Also, look, Johnny, you're not getting off so easy. Serph's gaze goes back to where Sola had run off.]
Talk to him tonight.
[That should give Sola enough time to calm down some.]
It'll be better when you do.
no subject
Well...good thing you were wrong~
[As for that other thing...]
Yeah...I guess. Maybe.
[Unless he just...avoids everything and pretends it's all fine. That sounds good. He's good at that.]
no subject
Don't falter.
[People who really want something, they go forward and don't look back. Jinana, Lupa, people he'd been proud to call comrade had been like that. Roland, too, when he had made his choice. And Heat...
Serph reaches out and puts a hand on Johnny's shoulder. A gesture of good faith.]
Let me know how it goes.
[He's not going to force Johnny, but he doesn't think it's a good idea for Johnny to avoid conversation, either.]
