There's a girl draped over the fountain; she's lying backwards across it in a way that doesn't look too comfortable. Slowly, she begins to stir and, eventually she's sitting up. Green eyes open wide as she surveys her surroundings and she tilts her head, not really sure what to make of it. Was it a dream? She rubs her hands into her eyes, as though trying to wake up, but she's still sitting there; the small young woman in the yellow dress. For her next test, she gathers her cheeks between her fingers, pinching them, but she only winces, and leaves small red marks on her cheeks.

'Huh... It's so familiar...'

So she's really there, in this new place, but it could be anywhere. The best thing to do, is to go and explore. So she stretches her legs out in front of her and leaps off the fountain, but her legs are wobbly and there's every chance she might not land on her feet.

{ooc: Selphie's back! For her old buddies - Selphie won't remember everything immediately (since memory is an issue with her, and GFs, etc). If you tell her your name, maybe try to remind her of something that she'll likely remember, then she might come around. Even if she recognises you, it may take a wee bit longer for her to remember the relationship you had - ie, how close or not you were. Hope that makes sense! Unless, of course, you're canon!)

[Rinoa has a frown to match Selphie's and it's mainly just confused when she pulls back, keeping her hands on her friend's shoulders.]

Don't tell me... you don't remember being here from before? You had been here when I was brought here. Then you were sent home a few months ago.

*Selphie blinked up at Rinoa, once, and then twice, just taking a moment to try and make sense of that*

Nopes... I don't remember. But how come I was sent home and you guys stayed here?

[Huh. Does that happen often...? Rinoa's never gone through the experience of having someone from home return back to this place, so she isn't sure.]

I don't know. It happens though. People just get sent back home randomly, without warning.

Wow... That kinda sucks. So means that any second, you could just pop back too, and I'd have no idea if you were gonna come back?

*Oh gosh, that's such a horrible thought!*

Pretty much. That's how it works around here. [It's the only major downside to this place, besides being far from home.]

That's weird... But I guess I probably got used to it before, right?

[Then it hits her. She had been so caught up in excitement in seeing Selphie, she had almost forgotten.]

Oh my - you're not gonna believe this, but today's Squall's birthday!

*Selphie's trying to figure out if the time she came from back home made sense with it being Squall's birthday, but that's kinda foggy too*

Really? We should have a party! And invite everyone!

*Of course, by everyone she's assuming that the rest of that gang are here - Zell, Quistis, Irvine...*

[This timey wimey stuff in Vatheon could give Time Compression a run for its money.]

Already am! [She points to the bags she had put down.] Invited the whole bubble! I know you're probably overwhelmed, but you should stop by, too! I'm sure Squall will be glad to see you. It's just been him and I for awhile.

*Heck yes it could, but Selphie's just choosing to run with it - always easier*

Really? Awesome! I'd love to come along. And..if I've been here before... I guess there's people here that I know!

Yeah! You lived with a couple people in the same neighborhood I live in. I'm not sure if they're still here, but we can look tomorrow.

[She feels bad for not being able to help her out right away, but the party is just hours away.]

*But yeah, Selphie gets the feeling there's a busy lady here wanting to get back to her party organising*

[Rinoa motions with her head for Selphie to follow. They're not terribly far from her house, so it won't be a long walk.]

Just gotta put together some appetizers and get everything together. Some guys are gonna stop by then to help out. And luckily someone else is baking the cake.

*Selphie's happy to follow along after her, and she's looking far happier with all this talk of celebration*

I guess so. Honestly, I'm sort of surprised. With about a week and a half to do it, I expected something to go really wrong.

You're surprised? No way! You're definitely organised enough for this, and I bet you've really pulled it off. I can't wait to see the party!
