It's a good week in the bubble! ...Then again, every week is fairly pleasant, temperature wise, in this little city under the sea.

But!

This week is extra pleasant, because there are training dummies set up all over the field in the park, all ready and waiting to be smacked around or smashed into itty bitty bits. Oh, but if hitting dummies aren't your thing, there are also targets for the archers and marksmen who want to get some target practice set up at the north end, cordoned off so people don't accidentally wander into the line of fire. And for those who'd rather play it safe or would like start learning the art of battle, there are plenty of practice weapons in... wheelbarrows? at the corners of the field.

Well, okay, this week would actually be unpleasant if you use the park for some peace and quiet. But for everyone else wanting to get some good old fashioned sparring and training in, this week's a great time to do it!

Yeah, probably. I guess... stuff like if the other person says to stop, then stop? I haven't really done this before, either. Usually when I trained in my world I just went out and fought monsters.

[teradine]

[It sounds simplistic, but...sufficient? They won't really know until they really get going, she supposes. But yes, her comrades were the same way.]

We had to do the same.

[The demons from other Tribes...]

...It was always to the death.

[Not this time though, thankfully. That'll be a nice change...for once.]

[amnesiadragon]

... Yeah. Most of the monsters would just chase you if you ran. And the armored warriors that Rasso sent to kill us couldn't give up, I think.

[teradine]

[...She'd like to say that that sounds terrifying, but she actually feels a bit numb to the idea. Demons giving chase... that, too, was rather normal. It was guaranteed that the stubborn ones always would.

Heh.]

I don't intend to do either.

[Run or give up. Of course, it's easier to say that and sound so determined, knowing that killing him isn't necessary...

But in any case, it may be time they got started.]

[amnesiadragon]

Neither do I.

[He grins, and takes a few steps back, to make it fair - and then rushes in with a flaming fist.]

[teradine]

Tch...!

[-- Fire.

Well, she hadn't been expecting that. She'd moved to block the fist, but jerks back upon seeing the flame, and the intense heat to go with it. Just a moment to recover, before she counters with a Teradyne spell.

She's taking advantage of the fact that he's still on the ground, though she suspects that won't last for long now...]

[amnesiadragon]

[Yep, because as soon as he sees the ground start to shift he flips backwards, floating about half a foot off the ground.]

[He closes the distance again quickly, this time going for a punch without the fire.]

[teradine]

[Apprehensive at first, but she'll grab his fist to block-- a little more successfully this time, but she's also being a little more ambitious.

...She'll maintain her grip to see if she can't flip him onto the ground. Her stance is good, even if his flight gives him an advantage.]

[amnesiadragon]

[He yelps as she spins him onto the ground. He hasn't had anyone ever try that on him, and he's dazed for a moment while he tries to get his bearings again.]

[teradine]

[Oh man, it worked!!

...She's seen that dazed look before, too, on other enemy demons. There's a brief second of hesitation, as she wonders whether she should give him a moment to recover--

But she shakes it off, and while he's out of sorts, she decides she'd better follow up with another Teradyne.]

[amnesiadragon]

[He's fine, he's fine. See he's even yelping at the Teradyne.]

[He jumps back and casts Hwa, a low level fire spell at her.]

[teradine]

[Damn. She'd almost been able to dodge it, too, but the spell nips her in the shoulder as she dodges to the right...

She's not about to try another Teradyne; but with a grunt, she swings his whip-like demon arm towards him, as the other shoulder recovers.]

[amnesiadragon]

[He grins at that and reaches out to grab her arm, trying to use it to lift her and throw her. He's stronger than that little body might suggest.]

[teradine]

[That grin.

She'd only caught a glimpse it before realizing-- a little too late-- that he'd been prepared for this. She finds herself flying through the air suddenly, though with some determination, she braces herself for impact and rolls so the collision landing with the ground is less brutal.

... He's strong, indeed. Staggering, she's trying to crawl back to her feet again quickly.]

[amnesiadragon]

[Not prepared, just good at improvising! It's a skill that comes in handy. He considers using his breath attack again but decides that would be too much, so he just rushes in again to try to get a few punches before she recovers.]

[teradine]

[Luckily, she's able to dodge that rush. The breath attack would've been harsher, so she's certainly glad.

...She doesn't retaliate right away, though. Simply waits to see what he'll do next, while she's (sort of) catching her breath from the toss.]

[amnesiadragon]

[Aw. Fine. He turns and casts Barrier on himself. That rock attack hurt. He doesn't want that to happen as badly again.]

[teradine]

...A barrier?

[Her first spoken words in a while. It looks a lot like one of their "shield" spells that can absorb damage, so she doesn't want to do anything too hastily...

She takes a step back, thinking on her next move.]

[amnesiadragon]

[One turn down. Fine, he'll draw her out. He casts another fire spell at her, trying to get a reaction.]

[teradine]

[BUT WHY THO.

...Hrrgggh, she doesn't have much time to decide. Completely spur of the moment and something she's definitely never done before, Argilla will actually cast a Teradyne on herself--

Or at least, very close by, and she uses the moving earth to launch herself upwards and to the side to avoid the flame.

She will also use the momentum afterwards to rush towards him and try to pin him down.]

[Well that's something he wasn't expecting. He attempts to gain control of the grapple - he's stronger than he looks but he's definitely not the physical powerhouse in his traveling party.]

[teradine]

[Neither is Argilla, but she manages to hold her own somehow. He manages to flip her over a couple times, during her moments of weakness, but she maintains her grip and always manages to flip him back and pin him again.

...Seems they're fairly evenly matched.]

[amnesiadragon]

[Pretty much. He lashes out at him with his clawed feet then, growling a bit.]

[teradine]

[...Oh ow. The claws are pretty sharp, and it's a successful move for breaking the stalemate. She jumps back, putting some distance between them-- still on her guard, though she's started panting a bit more.

She'll watch him closely, observing once more.]
