Who: Madame Red and YOU!
When: July 23rd, evening
Where: The plaza, near the coral!
Style: Action to begin with, but willing to do prose.
Status: Open to everyone!
[Angelina wonders if she lost her way in London after Elizabeth Stride. Did she pass out, anyway? She can't remember how she ended up soaking wet in something else than blood... She notices Grell is not around. If she was here, she would be making a scandal of having her red outfit ruined. Angelina's was ruined already anyway.
Fortunately, she still carries a bloody scalpel with her. As she looks around, she realizes she is in a dome underwater. How did she get here, anyway? Where is this place? She can only be wary as she takes a few steps away from the Plaza. Even though her fine clothes are dripping wet, she holds herself in an elegant manner that makes her look sophisticated. Anyone who happens to see her would realize she's an aristocrat. Quite an outdated one, by modern standards, of course. Just before anyone shows up, she manages to stash the scalpel inside her sleeve.]

Doctor? Vatheon? You mean I'm not in London anymore? [Well damn... This is no good. A stranger walking around in bloody clothes... Now she's even more wary and glad at the same time she met this man.]

[ He's gonna go get a towel from one of the locals though and offer it to her. ]
The clinic isn't far. If you'd like I can make you some coffee and explain the situation best I can.
no subject
Clinic? [Yes, the hospital is a safe environment.] I would greatly appreciate that, doctor.
no subject
[ And offering her his coat as well as he leads the way because really. Cold nights are cold when you're wet. Still not going to ask about the blood. ]
You say you came from London?
no subject
Yes, I believe you do not come from England. You seem to have a different accent.
no subject
[ He fishes for his keys in his pocket as he reaches to open the clinic door for her. There's a nod at the receptionist as he does. Just a little "hey, I'm back". ]
no subject
So you say this place brings in people from different places? How is that possible? [An follows him into the clinic, barely looking at the receptionist as she does.]
no subject
I'm a bit of an anomaly, even for my race. Partial albinism you see, Miss--
[ There's the tiniest smile though as he heads to the nearby counter to dig for either coffee or tea, whichever they had still in stock. ]
It seems I've failed to ask for your name in return. I apologize.
no subject
It certainly makes you quite a sight, Dr. Muraki. And I apologize for my rudeness. [Bows.] Angelina Durless... But you may call me Madame Red.
no subject
[ Newer is perfect. And whiter. Much whiter. He's managed to locate the cups and is getting started on that coffee now. ]
But to answer your question.
[ He leans himself back against the counter as the percolator starts its work. ]
I'm afraid no one has the direct answers. I've been here for a year and a half now and there seems to be no easy solution. People come and go without a warning. You are perhaps one in several hundred who has asked this question, myself included.
no subject
Oh yes, white... An finds the office a perfect match for him.]
I see... So this world is truly an enigma. Even to those who have already spent some time here. [Without waiting for an invitation, she sits on his desk, facing him.]
I heard it had to do with the coral, though.
no subject
However, there's a raised brow from the sitting on his table bit. He has a fiancee, you know. ]
So you've been told that much at least. This makes my explanation easier.
[ Taking a sip from his own cup after nudging hers over. ]
The coral seems to be in the center of it all. Bringing us in, powering the city, even tormenting us at times. However, this is all merely speculation. No one really has proof of this.
no subject
She nods and waits for him to explain as she sips on her coffee.]
I see... I thought that coral looked strange when I first arrived. Beautiful but... eerie... [Sighs.] Are there many people here?
no subject
[ Momentary frustration from that as he takes a sip for himself but he looks back up when she asks. ]
Over a hundred, if I recall. Did you have a star shaped device on your person when you arrived? It contains a list of the current residents Vatheon has.
no subject
[She is rather surprised about the number of people there.]
Well, whoever brought us here has gathered quite a collection of us... [Takes out her device.] This thing, you mean? I haven't figured it out yet, it's such a strange item.
no subject
[ There's another sip there as he closes his eyes to focus. ]
That device is called the SFC. It serves as a means of communication between us foreigners. On it, you can find a list of those currently within the city. That should give you a good estimate of our number.
no subject
[She takes a look at the SFC, curious about it.] So I can use this artifact to call you, for example? [Tries to get it to show the list of inhabitants.]
no subject
[ He glances over however before reaching over and pressing the necessary buttons. ]
You can. Or you can use it to send a message to address the entire city if the curiosity so strikes you.
no subject
She watches as Muraki handles the SFC, trying to remember everything he did to later emulate it herself.] It's quite an interesting device, Doctor. I believe I will find it useful.
no subject
[ They're alone though. The nurses can't hear them through the door so he decides it's best to get down to business. ]
Now then. If I may ask a few things in turn...?
no subject
You may ask, Dr. Muraki. Maybe you will get answers.
no subject
[ Pressing his fingertips together. ]
How did you come to have so much blood on you?
no subject
I was attacked... [And she goes straight for the lie.]
no subject
If you're in need of any medical assistance from that attack, I assure you we're quite well equipped here. With that much blood, I could certainly assume you might need a stitch or two...
[ Try again, An. He knows how blood stains, how it appears on clothing. He has his suspicions. ]
no subject
I-I am fine... I do not require medical aid.
