Enter Mischief
Who: Loki and you
Where: The forest
When: Nighttime
Style: As you please
Status: Open
[It was a deafening crash to the ground. Dozens of trees were uprooted or snapped in half in a charred trail that led to a small crater in a clearing. Echos of the rumbling could still be heard tens of minutes after the dust has settled. Though there is still some thick smoke in the hole, one close enough could see that something stirs within. One foot out. And then another. Followed by the swish of a coat's hem and the judging eyes of a man burdened with glorious purpose.
Loki does not like it when things don't go according to plan. He was bound and gagged by his brother and they were on their way back home when a force painfully yanked him from the bridge to Asgard. Now here we was - both drenched in seawater and partially on fire, unscathed but The reason behind the failure of the transport he had yet to discover. Right now he scanned his surroundings and scoffed in disapproval.
It was a realm he had never been in before. It was frustrating because now his body has to adjust itself to the system of mana in this world... that is, if there even is one here. He tried to generate fire. Nothing but sparks.
He's going to need time to figure out his next move, but there would be little of that for now. He can hear someone nearing the crash site, probably to investigate, and Loki had not the energy to teleport, cloak himself or even move. Whoever was approaching, Loki had to at least make sure it was a safe encounter. He can't make enemies now. At least not yet.
He took a throwing knife from a hidden pocket on his back and stabbed himself in the gut without wincing or flinching. He knows it will completely heal before the night is over. And as soon as that someone came into view, Loki put on a panicked face and screamed.]
Help!! Somebody, please!! Help me!!
[He grinned in his mind. So it begins]

[ Do keep from absorbing too much, but Loki may be able to tell as that man swirls over him... Duke is paying attention to how it reacts. ]

(ooc: Loki's holding himself back. He's not even risking it yet)

Require light?

It would offer me comfort in this alien darkness, so yes, please.

The way this spell forms is different from the last - while that one was clearly structured, this is a bit more like he took a scoop of the mana that swirls him, and told it to glow. Its not a particularly bright light - Duke doesn't want to bother any animals who are sleeping or hunting - but its definitely bright enough that the forest floor is visible.
He's also just. not a very social person. ]

[It was brash, but Loki couldn't possibly stand his impassiveness anymore. He had to at least say something.]
(ooc: sorry if loki sounds demeaning. i'm not trying to criticize. i'm just saying things loki would likely say)

[ Unfortunately, Duke is mostly impassive and disinterested. ]
(ooc: perfectly fine! Duke is a character who is mostly seen from walking away for a good part of his canon. No need to apologize for IC things.)

[Loki had his head down as he walked a few steps behind. How eager will he be to see a tower crumble and fall.]
You never know when a knife might come flying by from that direction.
[Loki started walking by Duke's side, looking ahead. He didn't even look at his companion to expound on the comment he just said.]
Oh, but what do I know about your life or this world? Consider this the ramblings of a tired traveler.

[ Rather agreeing. What better way to find those who would do so easily than invite it?
Yes, he likely is overconfident, as odd feeling as this newcomer is. However he thinks himself capable of at least getting away, if nothing more. His mana still swirls carefully about them both. ]
As understand it; will have time. There is no way to purposefully return, as of yet.

It is not one that has been purposefully visited by any as of yet. There are occasional happenings; bubbles that follow one, displaying thoughts for all to see. Temporary location alteration that does not have permanent effects upon the body despite happenings then. Referred to as 'curses', made aware of when one starts with a flare of light from the tattoo that is now upon your body.
