001 - Welcome to the Bubble
Who: Dhaos and anyone
Where: the Plaza
When: now
Style: any
Status: Open
[If one were to go to the plaza, they might see a tall blond man sitting on the ground looking utterly befuddled. Certainly an understandable reaction to the situation considering that last he knew he'd been bleeding to death, and yet here he was, sitting in an unknown place with only minor injuries and drenched to the bone. If this was the afterlife, it was more than a little strange.]

[Lloyd echoes the word with an odd mixture of wariness and surprise. But, then, the guy had said he was from four thousand years in the future. That in and of itself is hard to believe - but if Zelos and Colette could be from a year or two in the future, why not someone from even further? And if he was from that far...
If Cruxis was disbanded...
Slowly, Lloyd relaxes. This guy probably didn't even know who he and his friends were, let alone be interested in hurting them, or taking Colette, or any of the things Lloyd had worried about when Dhaos had said that his home was Derris-Kharlan. Straightening from the defensive stance he'd taken, he drops his hand from his sword.]
I guess things are pretty different in the future. It's kind of hard to believe. And Mithos being alive... I wonder where he is.
So... are you a half-elf?
[When he asks the question, there's only curiosity in his voice. Most of the people in Cruxis are half-elves. Is that still true in their home four thousand years from his time?]
I'm Lloyd, by the way. Lloyd Irving.

[Any further words die on his lips at the revelation of who he was talking to. Lloyd Irving. The Lloyd Irving. The boy Kratos always talked about with such regard. Yeah, Dhaos is...going to check out for a minute to try and process this bit of info. Hope you don't mind the shocked stare.]
no subject
[That's a lot of mana. Despite his own surprise, though, he notes Dhaos's sudden stare.]
Huh? You all right?
[Actually, come to think of it, he's been staring an awful lot, even before Lloyd showed up. Did he hit his head or something?
Maybe Lloyd should be checking for signs of a concussion.]
no subject
His expression closes off a bit once again.]
...Yes. I was just...not expecting to be greeted by a legend...
no subject
Uh... I'm not sure what you think you're seeing, but there aren't any legends here. I mean, unless you're talking about Mylantis, but I don't think this place is Mylantis, even if it's under water, too.
Are you sure you're not hurt?
no subject
...I don't recall ever hearing of a "Mylantis" before though.
[He purposefully neglects to answer the question about his health. Hopefully the hero wouldn't notice that or his near slip about his Uncle.]
no subject
[Fortunately for Dhaos, he just successfully derailed any thoughts Lloyd might have had about slip-ups he might have just made.]
Mylantis is a city that got sunk thousands of years ago. You only hear about it in stories, and no one knows if it's real. I guess people forgot about it when you're from.
no subject
[A thought occurs to Dhaos.]
I've neglected to introduce myself. My name is Dhaos.
no subject
Whoa, people from my time are still alive? Who? Maybe I know who they are!
Oh man, wait 'til I tell the others I'm a legend! They'll never believe it!
[Or maybe they'll believe it more than he might ever think.]
Dhaos, huh? Nice to meet you! No, better than nice. This is the coolest thing that's happened since I got here!
no subject
[Really, what else is one suppose to say to that? Of course, Lloyd may not be so pleased with the answer to his question.]
I'm sure you know our Elder at least. His name... is Kratos.
no subject
Kratos?
[Yeah, he doesn't sound happy to hear that at all.]
Dammit, he's still alive?
[He scowls darkly at the thought of the man.]
I bet he's still a jerk, isn't he. Even if Cruxis isn't around anymore, that doesn't mean he's changed.
no subject
I do not appreciate the tone you're taking when speaking of my mentor.
1/2
He was my mentor, too. How do you think I know what he's like?
2/2
...he really taught you?
[He has no idea what he feels about that. Curious, leery, and a feeling he can't pin down that sits uncomfortably in his gut.]
no subject
[Dhaos has to bite the urge to snap. It's not Lloyd's fault that he must be from a time prior to the seal of Origin. ...Still, he can't help but feel a bit angry.]
no subject
Yeah... I guess you're right. I just...
Never mind. Let's talk about something else. What about you? Was there anything you wanted to know about my time?
[Anything to get off of that topic.]
no subject
[There is a moment of awkward silence. It is within this moment that it occurs to Dhaos that he is still completely soaked, and getting rather cold. He shivers a little.]
no subject
You should get a towel and dry off. The guys around here are pretty nice about keeping them handy for when people show up. Then, um... I guess you need somewhere to stay.

[Lloyd rattles off some directions. He can't think of much else to say beyond that, though. Dammit, so much for a distraction. Maybe it'd be best to let Dhaos head off on his own.]
You can call me, if you want. If you have any questions.
