[If one were to go to the plaza, they might see a tall blond man sitting on the ground looking utterly befuddled. Certainly an understandable reaction to the situation considering that last he knew he'd been bleeding to death, and yet here he was, sitting in an unknown place with only minor injuries and drenched to the bone. If this was the afterlife, it was more than a little strange.]

.... [ "Someone else with long hair" is mostly what registers to Duke, aside from the drenched state. ]

... Free towels. [ He just. Points at them with the hand that holds the book. ]

....... [Another long-haired man? Dhaos is pretty sure that he hasn't seen anyone with hair quite so pale as this one's since he left home all those years ago. A sharp pain stabs his heart at the thought of home. In an effort not to break down in a public place, he swiftly rises and begins to dry himself with one of the before-mentioned free towels, keeping his face carefully blank.]

[ Someone less talkative than him. It's amazing.

Also this guy is tall. And feels a bit strange to the magic he uses as a guide, even with his somewhat better vision. ]

Location known as Vatheon, not where you once were, far underwater, most items and housing are free. [ There we go, now he can wander back off toward the woods.

[Is it strange when little nervous crabs go scuttling by, dragging starfish devices and muttering to themselves?]

[Kind of a strange thing to see yes, but certainly in keeping with the fact that the city appeared to be underwater. Perhaps it knew what was going on? Dhaos clears his throat to get its attention.]

[Okay... That guy's just sitting there in a puddle of water. The puddle itself isn't very alarming, but the guy's complete and utter lack of reaction (or any kind of action) is a little bit strange. Blinking curiously, Lloyd approaches.]

Hey, you okay?

[Walking by, it's not the water or the long hair that grabs her attention first. Before either of those, it's the wounds peppered about his skin, the bloodstains on his clothing.]

[She stops mid-walk and, taking a half-step towards him, asks.]

Are you alright?

[He ponders for a moment, then speaks for the first time since arrival.]

.....Dead or not?

...? [ Blinking at him - or at the towel.

The water shouldn't be pink staining. And the man wasn't wearing red, thus... ]

Not. Taken from prior location to this one.

...Yes. Shouldn't be though. [His words sound flat and emotionless, yet with the slightest hint of bemusement. Logic dictated that he should still have a massive injury from being impaled on a broadsword, and yet all that was left was drying blood and a series of holes in his clothes. He's still too much in shock to notice how his matter-of-fact statement would sound to anyone unaware of the situation.]

Shouldn't be? Why not?

[Yeah, a tinge of worry is creeping into Lloyd's voice now, especially as his eyes take in the blood-spattered condition of the blond man's damaged clothes. The fact that the man stated so plainly that he should be hurt is a little disturbing in and of itself.]

What happened? Are you hurt?

Stabbed. Bleeding to death. And yet...it's gone.

[Dhaos looks at his hands, his expression taking on a somewhat lost quality. His next words are even more disjointed, and more to himself than the boy in red.]

...gone too... Why...?

[He looks up at the sound of her voice, a mildly dazed quality creeping into his otherwise expressionless face. He blinks slowly, processing her question.]

...Yes?

[The question in his voice stemmed not from whether he was alright, but rather from the fact that he was relatively uninjured in the first place. Dhaos clearly remembered being run through with a broadsword, and yet the wound that should have been fatal simply...wasn't. The blood and the holes in his clothing were still there, but not the cause of the majority of the blood that stained his garments.]

...I see.

[It wasn't a particularly reassuring piece of information to Dhaos. He's still very drained of magic, and he can tell this place had no mana seed. Even if it did, there was no guarantee that he could muster the strength to make the jump in time to save his world... His eyes dim a little more as his thoughts turn darker.]

[Lloyd glances at the mass of coral spreading throughout the plaza, growing like flower beds and gardens anywhere that isn't a walkway. Then he glances back at the man.]

Maybe you touched the coral. It can heal injuries, you know.

[Wait, he might not know that. It only occurs to Lloyd just then what the puddle and lost look might mean.]

Did you just get here? I mean, here in Vatheon?

[Ran heard the splash--something gaining all too much familiarity these days. She frowned. Would this place expand to make room for all the new-comers?

Ah, well--something to bounce off of Shinichi, maybe. He probably had thought all that stuff through already. Instead, Ran reaches for a hand-towel she kept in her purse, and hurries over to the fountain.]

Here! [She extends the towel to the drenched man. It wasn't much, but at least he could dry off his hair?] It's Spring-time now, but it still gets a bit chilly, especially if you're wet. [She gives him a concerned frown.] It's easy to catch a cold your first week here, so please be careful!

[Zelos hasn't had the chance to keep up with all the new arrivals this time around, considering, but he's out today, leaning on a towel cart and watching for suspiciously soaked individuals. Preferably women. With melons. Who are not prudes or virgins. (Hey, a guy can dream!)

What he gets instead is the feel of some very familiar mana; not of his world, but close. He recognizes it immediately as that of Derris Kharlan and straightens up with his hand on his sword, looking back and forth across the plaza for the source. If anyone from Cruxis is here...

He finally locates where the mana is coming from. A blonde man, sitting in a pool of water and looking despondent, but Zelos has no pity, not for someone from Cruxis. He doesn't recognize the man himself, but the mana is obvious enough.

The Chosen marches right up, the toes of his boots splashing in the small puddle surrounding the blonde, and puts a hand on his hip, the other resting on his sword. He simply scowls down at the new arrival, saying nothing.]

[This tactic proves completely ineffective, for said blond doesn't even notice the presence of someone else. In fact, it takes some minutes for him to even move beyond blinking and breathing.

Eventually he raises a hand to his stomach. Instead of a gaping wound, all he feels is a large scar just to the left of his spine. ...How...?]

[ Well. Someone's in a down mood of some sort. ]

..... [ And Duke is the absolute worst at fixing those. ]

It is assumed that the coral can choose to return people; however it is not something that one can aid along. [ Maybe that will help. Otherwise... Duke's just gunna go. ]

[Well, it doesn't pick up Dhaos' mood, but at least it prevents it from plummeting even more for the moment. That's a start.

He 'hmm's in acknowledgement.]

Vatheon...? Healing...coral...?

[The confused look says it all.]

[Right. That sounds like a "yes" to him. Lloyd holds out his gloved left hand, offering to help the man stand up.]

I'm not sure where you came from, but it's probably a different world from this one. This world is Vatheon, and I was told that the coral is what brings people here. I don't know what it does to do that, but I know it can definitely heal. In fact, you should probably touch it at least every month. You get really sick if you go without touching it for too long.

[Dhaos blinks, then takes the offered hand, mentally filing the given information away for later. The boy's mana signature feels strange, and yet there's something about it that's achingly familiar. But where would he...?]

...Are you... from Aselia...?

Aselia?

[It only takes him one blink before it clicks.]

Oh! Yeah! Well, sort of. When I come from, we haven't reunited the worlds yet, so I'm from Sylvarant.

Wait. How'd you know I was from Aselia?
