Summary: It's a new worlds, and there's no way Sora's not going to go exploring!



Sora was wondering around Vatheon with seemingly nothing better to do. He'd been reunited with a good portion of his friends from home, and he was for the most part feeling pretty good about things. It sucked a bit that they'd probably never make it back home, but at least they were here together.

Now with nothing but free time on his hands he was wondering around Vatheon exploring the place for all it was worth! If he was going to be stuck here for awhile he might as well know where everything was, and meet some new people besides!

"Oh," Sora straightens up and pops a salute. Mostly because that's what you were supposed to do for General's right? "I'm Sora!"

He drops the pose not too long later though. Sora's no soldier at least not in the classical sense.

"How long have you been here Alister?" So much for formalities.

He's used to the lack of formalities - there were quite a few times when it'd slipped from Ratchet as well, during their travels. But his time with the younger Lombax had made him... slightly more lenient. Especially with children.

"Sora, hm? Mind your manners and you'll do well, I think."

Though the Lombax's stance stays firm and practiced. "A couple of weeks, I would say. Time is difficult to tell when you're underwater. But there are those that have been here longer, who'd seen more of what the coral is capable of."

He still had a lot to learn. That didn't take a neurotic cybernetics surgeon to figure out.

"Stay on your toes, and you'll make it through fine, my boy."

Sora frowned a bit. "What was that supposed to mean?" He looked sheepish a second later. He hadn't really meant to speak back.

"Right." He nodded. Sora's look and stance were completely determined. He'd been to enough worlds that this place wasn't going to get the better of him.

Ahhh kids and their defiance.

He remembered a time where he and Kaden had been in the same position as kids, stumbling across the Praetorian Guard together and finding ways to pants that General. Nobody really knew how two eight-year-old Lombaxes managed to breach the defense, so they never spoke of it again.

"Meaning you could have those of us here who won't be as lenient as I'm being." And even that was a surprise. Maybe he was being too lenient?

"Things aren't always what they seem, after all."

"Yeah, I guess." Sora rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. He still felt he'd be able to take care of himself though. He'd gone against some pretty tough oppponents while he was on his adventures, but then that didn't mean there wouldn't be someone stronger here.

"Thanks, Alister."

So young. And still so much to learn.

Far be it from Alister to turn down an opportunity like this, taking on a new challenge from the city, even if it wasn't from the city itself. He was developing his own, personal goals as time went on - goals that wouldn't involve time travel, or that old obsession he'd had. He knew what came of those.

And he would do things right this time.

"How well-versed are you in combat? There might come the time where your natural abilities may not be enough." He explains this carefully, auburn eyes watching the smaller form with diligence. "Lombaxes are known for being resourceful, using whatever's available on the field to serve as a defense."

"I'm pretty good at it." There was a cocky grin on Sora's face. Being the savior of the worlds could have that affect on a teenage boy. "I've gone against some pretty tough opponents back home!"
