Summary: It's a new worlds, and there's no way Sora's not going to go exploring!



Sora was wondering around Vatheon with seemingly nothing better to do. He'd been reunited with a good portion of his friends from home, and he was for the most part feeling pretty good about things. It sucked a bit that they'd probably never make it back home, but at least they were here together.

Now with nothing but free time on his hands he was wondering around Vatheon exploring the place for all it was worth! If he was going to be stuck here for awhile he might as well know where everything was, and meet some new people besides!

Sora was staring. This guy was huge!

He blushed a little, embarrassed to have been caught staring, but he took it as a moment to introduce himself. He walked up to the rather broad-shoulders person and raised his hand in greeting.

"Hi! My name's Sora." Sora grinned. He liked meeting new people and this person had caught his eye!

Gorthan did not answer at first, instead focusing on placing the bookmark, a red ribbon, with a slow, solemn gesture. Finally, he closed the book and addressed the young man who had spoken to him.

"I am Gorthan. The supreme leader of the Evronian Army."

While his tone was cold, he no longer had the pretense to terrorize anyone with his introduction. By now, he was aware that most people here did not know about Evron. It was something he had learned to accept - besides, it could play to his advantage.

Sora stares for a little longer. Another military person! He doesn't bother with a salute this time though. Gorthan had introduced himself without a leading title so what was the point?

"Nice to meet you." He peered at the guy for a bit longer. "So how long have you been here?" It was the question he was seeming to ask everyone. It was strange how many people had gotten here through the years.

"A couple months." A heavy sigh, as his hands closed tighter on that book he was carrying. "And still no sign of a way to return home. Without my guidance, the Empire will surely...!" He closed his eyes and gritted his teeth, his body tensing as he let the sentence trail off.

"... No matter. What about yourself? How long have you been here?"

Sora frowned a little. "I'm sure they'll be okay." Not that Sora knew the world Gorthan came from, but Sora was always optimistic.

"I just got here last week." At least his world was okay again. All the worlds actually.

"I only wish I had the luxury of being so hopeful." A grave look was in his eyes when he opened them again.

"So what does it feel like to you? To suddenly find yourself in an unknown world, likely a prison."

Sora was about to ask why Gorthan wasn't hopeful about it, but the question stops his train of thought.

"It's kind of strange." Sora looked up to the bubble where instead of sky all he saw was sea. "I've been traveling to different worlds for two years now, so being stuck here is kind of strange."

He looked back over and smiled. "But my friends are here, so it's not too bad. Maybe one day, some of your people can come here too!"

Gorthan tipped his head to the side.

"You travel between worlds, too?" His eyes narrowed as he stared at Sora. "Yet you don't have the appearance of a conqueror. A warrior, however... is that what you are?"

"Yeah, something like that." The grin stayed on Sora's face.
