Summary: It's a new worlds, and there's no way Sora's not going to go exploring!



Sora was wondering around Vatheon with seemingly nothing better to do. He'd been reunited with a good portion of his friends from home, and he was for the most part feeling pretty good about things. It sucked a bit that they'd probably never make it back home, but at least they were here together.

Now with nothing but free time on his hands he was wondering around Vatheon exploring the place for all it was worth! If he was going to be stuck here for awhile he might as well know where everything was, and meet some new people besides!

"I see."

Actually, no, he really didn't. Squall figured he should just give up on this particular endeavor. Still, it was probably always going to be weird that he reminds people of somebody else. "He's from your world then?"

"Well, yeah sort of." Sora wasn't quite sure how to answer that. It was a yes but a no.

"He's from a place called Hollow Bastion." He paused for moment trying to figure out how to explain how he knew Leon if they werent' quite from the same world.

"What do you mean, 'sort of?'" Squall asked. It was a very simple question. Either you were from the same world or you weren't! "...nevermind." He didn't exactly care enough to sit through a lengthy conversation anyway. He guessed that he should offer something about himself. "The place I'm from is called Balamb Garden."

Sora opened his mouth to explain before he was cut off. However the name of where Squall was from triggered something in Sora's own memory.

"Oh yeah! That's right! It wasn't Hollow Bastion!" He laughed a little sheepishly. "That's what they called it after it was taken over by Heartless and Maleficent. It was Radiant Garden before that!"

He tilted his head curiously at Squall. Was he sure they weren't the same person? Maybe Leon had just hit his head really badly or something.

Ha, maybe he really was Leon. Squall didn't know anyone who has as fractured a memory as he does. Squall doesn't know what Heartless are and he doesn't want to ask. He crosses his arms and gives Sora a curious look. Something he said was very interesting.

"You have a Garden in your world?"

"Well...sort of?" There was that sort of again.

"We're all from different worlds, but I guess I've just met a lot of people." Really there's no point in hiding that, but it's probably still confusing to someone who doesn't know how the worlds were disconnected.

From what he can understand, it's a world made up of many different worlds. And it's something that Squall suspects that Sora doesn't even fully understand himself.

"If you're from different worlds, how did you meet people from other ones?"

"We took the gummi ship to get to them." The way Sora says it makes it sound as if it should be the most obvious answer in the world. "He had to unlock the worlds to get to them, but that's how we did it, but the first place I met Leon was in Traverse Town!"

He smiled a bit at the memory. "That's where I met Yuffie, Aerith, and Cid for the first time too!"

Gummi ship. If Squall were religious, he would hope to God that it wasn't a ship made out of candy. He would not be able to handle a ship made out of candy. He doesn't ask about that because it seems like every time Sora answers a weird world related question, it just leads to new ones.

Instead, he asks, "Are they from the same place as Leon?"

For what it was worth Sora had never tried to eat the ship, so he was pretty sure that wasn't the case at least. Though it could somehow shrink to the size of one. Magic's cool don't you think?

"Yeah, they're all from Radiant Garden." Or if they were from other worlds before hand neither of them had mentioned it.

Hmm. If Squall ever knew an Aerith or a Yuffie, he's forgotten them. He wouldn't completely discount the possibility.

"I don't know any Yuffies or Aeriths, but I do know a Cid."

"Is he this tall," Sora stretches up to about Cid's height. "Have short blond hair like this," He gestures to his own hair and where it would be if it was Cid's cut. "And always talk with a toothpick in his mouth like this?"

Since Disney wouldn't make due with cigarettes.

Sora mimicked Cid's voice. It wasn't too shabby actually.

Height, nope. Hair, nope. Toothpick, nope. Voice is definitely nope. The voice sounded more like one of the mechanics over at Fisherman's Horizon.

"The Cid I know is nothing like that."

"Hm." Sora shrugged. "Guess it's not the same person then."

Alternate worlds weren't really something Sora had experienced. Different worlds yes, but ones where the people were the same yet different, not quite.
