Do You Have the Resolve?
Who: The invading Yami, Those who become brush gods, and other fighters on the Island.
Where: The Island
When: Saturday (all day)
Style: Action
Status: Open!
[After a whole evening of fighting, Yami finally relinquishes something - an orb of light that was ripped from Amaterasu. It's the power of Bloom, and it finds its host in leu of Amaterasu.
There is hope, now. With the power of bloom, the core can be exposed and progress can be made in this fight. Cooperation is key, and timing is crucial.
↪ Last leg of the First Form. In the morning, Yami's first form struggles to hold on. Bloom, Rejuvenation, and Power Slash are released.
↪ The Second Form. After a long battle, the sun should be rising... but there's a shroud of darkness over the sky, and Yami changes shape instead of succumbing to defeat. With aid of the brush gods, Cherry Bomb, Waterspout, and Crescent are released.
↪ The Third Form. Crescent summons the spirit of a warrior, known to Amaterasu as Nagi, that slices Yami in two. Yami roars, but changes yet again. It's around midday, yet still pitch dark... but there's light illuminating the casino-like panels on Yami. When the right panels are struck, Galestorm, Inferno, and Veil of Mist are released.
↪ The Fourth Form. The sun should be setting now, and the darkness grows darker. Yami assumes a more powerful form, that's extremely mobile and even more dangerous. For the persistent and the brave, as well as the large number of freed Brush Gods, they will deal a fair blow. Catwalk, Thunderstorm, and Blizzard are released. With all 12 free, it should be a cake walk, right?
As the hour reaches midnight, the darkness reaches a peak. Yami shifts into its final form, casting all into impenetrable darkness. Its shell is perfectly guarded, and until the dark is lifted, Yami is invincible. Only a miracle can save you now...]

↪ The Fourth Form
During the battle, the following Brushes will be released and find hosts:
• Catwalk
• Thunderstorm
• Blizzard]

But when that final form occurs, fear grips him..at least until he feels his body start to change. At first he thinks the strange orb is doing something to him..until he feels a new power serge through him. His body changes and normally he would make an amused comment about it..if he weren't so focused on taking out that thing.]
I don't know what is going on..but if it helps stop you, anything is worth a try. [Fai isn't sure how to use this new power but it feels familiar...the knowledge he had as amage returns to him as he reaches up to draw in the air. The ice forms and a smile comes to the vampires lips.]
Ah..how nostalgic. Let's hope its useful.

It won't be until it exposes it's "head" that the ice will do anything.]
no subject
When he spots that "head" he sends more ice towards it, hoping it will land a hit.]
Even if this doesn't work, its no worse then we were doing.

Thunderstorm
Progress has been made, or at least it seems that way. Though tired, though injured, hope now sits in the samurai's chest, and he continues to fight. Some of his fellow warriors have been gifted with powers that genuinely hurt this fearful Darkness and he will do all he can to support them. No matter what, they cannot give up.
He wipes away some of the blood from his face, watching Yami carefully. Mitsuhide is aware by now that attacking the shell will do no good. He has to wait for the enemy to expose that odd glass ball...
...and when it does he surges forward, only to be stopped in his tracks by a light. A light very prominent against the darkness, it obscures his sight for a moment.
"Ah..!"

He is different now. Mitsuhide can feel it even before Gekigami is gone from his mind and vision is returned to him; he breathes out softly. His body is healed and whole again, the tiredness banished, but that is only a small change compared to what else awaits.
"Gracious heavens..."
The samurai shakes his head, and slips back into a fighting stance. The blade of his sword is as white as his body and clothing, the red markings adorning him prominent, and it is strange, but he cannot dwell on the oddness of this. A blessing has been given to him like it has the handful of others, a blessing given to help strike down Yami. There is a new kind of power within him, and he intends to use it.
Is its vulnerable core exposed yet? Mitsuhide's gaze focuses back on Yami.

The samurai raises his blade, and for a moment, in his mind, it seems like a brush.
"Gods guide my blade," he says softly, before moving forward and 'painting' a symbol in the air. A symbol that is much like the shape of a lightning bolt.

Yami's vulnerable part is exposed!
Sliding his sword into his sheath, Mitsuhide runs straight towards the core and unleashes one of his most effective strikes; a slash from the draw.

Catwalk
[Karkat for one isn't alone presently; Gamzee joined him in the battle sometime earlier. It's good to have a harder-hitting backup, and as best friend and moirail, where would these two be if not supporting each other? Speaking of--]
Gamzee, you see that ball that keeps popping out? I've got an idea. We get close enough, you use your gangly clown arms for something good, and you throw me at the thing right when it pops out. You got it?
[And if he complies, that's will lead right into Karkat's next attack on the thing: a flying sickle-strike at that orb, if they can just time it right.]
Re: Catwalk
(Not that it's on the schedule, but you know, if it would come to that...)
He runs his club through his fingers when Karkat speaks up, a little tick as he tries to deal with the downright insane amount of adrenaline in his husk. He eyes the huge ball, before giving a little nod.]
Aight.
[Is it a good plan? Who knows. Gamzee is not the dude that makes the plans. He fully trusts in Karkat's ability to. And if Karkat says boost him up there, then fuck it, he's gonna get boosted like he has never been boosted before. Hey, it isn't even the first time they are dealing with a huge opponent. At least this one isn't prototyped with a horrorterror.
He sticks close to Karkat, keeping eye in him to wait for his signal and when it comes, he doesn't even hesitate. Dropping his clubs, he hauls him up, boosting Karkat into the air, towards that odd ball that keeps popping out. And the moment he has done that, he's kicking up his clubs immediately, returning them to his hands. This isn't the kinda fight you wanna fight with your hands free.]

[Karkat backs up a bit and rights himself from however he landed against the thing, but is quick to motion Gamzee over closer with his sickle. Strike it while it's down is the lesson he learned earlier, and so he brings his sickles to bear against the strange being again, one strike after another. It might not be an elegant kind of battle, but whatever works if it means they can all defeat this thing.]

Nepeta would be jealous - it's Kabegami that appears to Karkat, granting him the knowledge of how to open the Divine Scroll and paint on it the mark of Kabegami to alter reality, and create... sticky surfaces to climb on. It advises resourcefulness, with this power, and fades from the mind and changes Karkat into... well, not exactly a troll anymore!]
no subject
[But when it fades... that's the strangest thing. Sure, he's seen that part by now too, but it's quite a different thing to see himself turned almost solid white, broken up intermittently by the red markings that signify him as a god.]
Woah.
[Not the most deep commentary, but he's still trying to absorb it. For that matter: Gamzee, you better do something, or he's just going to stand there like a dolt.]
no subject
Well, okay. Maybe not that bad, but still! In retrospect this will be one of those 'holy fuck, how did we even survive that' moments.
For a moment, Gamzee just stares at well. To be honest, he hasn't really been paying attention to anything else going on on the battlefield but his and Karkat's fight. His attention span is short as it is, and if he'd have to process all of that, it'd just crash. All he knows that all of a sudden Karkat got hit by something, turning... fuck what did he even turn into? He'd say rainbowdrinker white but it goes a little beyond that even. Now Gamzee has miracles happen in front of him every day but this one? Yeah, this one ranks up there really high.
A soft, whistling sound signals Yami's next attack and he reacts on pure instinct, grabbing Karkat's arm and hauling him away, using his speed to get them to cover a little ways away just so they can figure out what the fuck just happened. Cause seriously.
what the fuck just happened?]
