Who: Shizuo and YOU
Where: The island
When: Friday evening
Style: Whichever
Status: OPEN FOR ALL THE CR
[Shizuo isn't as bothered by this curse as some of the people he's come across thus far. He tends not to be a pretty deep-thinker, and since he's a pretty honest individual, there isn't much for him to hide - with a little exception, but Shizuo has enough of a command on himself to avoid thinking about certain things in public. When he decides to go to the island, it's not with the intent to avoid people - at least, not more than usual - but because spending time here a week prior had shown Shizuo that the beach is nice and calm at night. The stars are especially peaceful.
His thought bubble calmly cycles through words like Izaya, stargazing, telescope, calm as he finishes a cigarette, walking along the water. He pauses and looks up at the night sky, and his bubble seems to pause with him - clearing itself of all text for a brief moment.]

Zelda sighed, smiling a little to herself. It was better to focus on Izaya's positive traits than to remember their most recent conversation. She allowed her mind to wander back to that, thinking of Izaya mumbling something about a Shizu-chan and looking so horribly alone. Whether it had been genuine sadness or not was hard for her to say even now. Izaya is quite the actor, after all.

"I guess it makes sense, though. That's how everyone winds up knowing who I am." Introducing himself to Vatheon's residents usually wound up in recognition from his name. People had tended to hear about him from Izaya.

Maybe, someday...
"Ah, yes - we'll be having cake again on the 27th! Can you make it that day, Shizuo? I'm afraid that I will be the one making it this time, but it shouldn't be too terrible."

"Yeah, I'll definitely be there," he replied. He was glad to be able to attend this time around.

Oh, Zelda. Going from wanting to be like Izaya in one moment to talking about cake with a big smile the next. It's been a hard week, she can't keep her thoughts completely straight anymore - that and she's gotten into the habit of abruptly changing the subject and her mood when it gets uncomfortable.

"That sounds really good," he assured Zelda. He was really glad that he could be friends comfortably with her again; the cake came secondary. It could be been a bitter cake and Shizuo still would have looked forward to it. It was good, his bubble stated, that he and Zelos had more or less worked out some differences just a few days prior, otherwise Shizuo would have felt as though he were imposing - yet again.

"Please, ah... please do not tell him that you saw that. I don't think he'd... he wouldn't be pleased."

"Ah - anyway, we kind of fought. But - not bad. In a good way." They both blew off some steam and were better for it, in the end. "He kind of fights like Izaya. I guess it was good practice for control."
no subject
"That's... hmm."

Shizuo watched Zelda's bubble play out the fight, and was impressed. It was very similar to the way Shizuo remembered it, except Zelos had managed to fly out of the way when Shizuo tried to hit him.
"I didn't hurt him," he told Zelda. Even if he hadn't been able to fly, I wouldn't have, his bubble expressed. He wouldn't have hurt someone Zelda cared about - definitely not intentionally, though he liked to think that even enraged he could keep Zelda at the forefront of his mind and not do something stupid.
It's what he had been working toward, after all.

This was evidently news to Zelda. She imagined it somewhat like the way that Vegeta flew (she had witnessed it once, though she never did get a chance to speak to him). It must be another effect of his altered mana state. If he wasn't so touchy I'd study it... She then recalled her own experience with flight, zipping over the island with Lysunder. She liked and trusted the Summoner, certainly - but if she'd known that Zelos could fly, that would have been far simpler.

Her thoughts were filled with what sort of wings he might have. Large, white angel's wings? No, Zelos is pretty devilish - bat's wings? Insect wings like Lysunder? Maybe transparent wings made of mana, since he didn't show any physical signs of having a wing structure on his body.
Which she has seen naked before. Sorry Shizuo, you probably didn't want to see that.

As for seeing Zelos' body - Shizuo just averted his eyes and pretended firmly that he had not. At least this time he wasn't blushing - unlike when he saw Izaya earlier.

"Flight is always something that I've wished I could do. They say that ancient Hylians came from the sky and were carried around by guardian birds of some sort. That is what the red bird on my usual clothing signifies," she explained, imagining said pattern.

"Yeah, it's convenient," he replied. "I know a few guys here who can do it." He thought of Cielo, then, too - and was about to think about how he could fly, but Shizuo wasn't trying to air out anyone else's business (again), so he redirected his thoughts before he started thinking of Cielo's demon form. "That's interesting, though." He was sincere - it really was. The more time Shizuo spent in the Vatheon, the more he found himself wondering about the stories of other worlds. He wasn't and probably would never be much of an intellectual, but his mind was opening a little and he was finding value in understanding other cultures.
