[Upon figuring out that the little bubble that she couldn't get rid of was displaying her thoughts, Zelda had no choice but to leave the house before Zelos saw. She really didn't have any romantic feelings for him, but she was still a teenager and that kiss was playing on repeat. Even though she doesn't want anyone else to see inside her mind either, at least it wouldn't be ruining the friendship she had with Zelos if they did.

And so the princess is wandering in the least populated parts of Vatheon that she can find, looking very sulky.]

I see. I wasn't aware that machines had genders. Are they capable of reproduction?

[Wait. That brings up bad thoughts. Zelos, stop lecturing drunkenly in her thought bubble, please.]

[Ky looks away quickly from Zelda's bubble those aren't...things he has any particular desire to see. Instead his own bubble shows Dizzy along with a burst of warm emotion and protectiveness that he didn't mean to have come across, that he barely even is willing to acknowledge himself.]

Justice was...human once.

And she has a daughter.

[Words float across, easily readable - Why would a human become that? Was it voluntary? He said she was a weapon, so perhaps not. Or maybe she chose to become a weapon?

The princess is going to tire out everyone she meets this week.]

[Ky sighs, his bubble going black with grief for a moment. The events of the past can't help being painful.]

I don't believe she did choose it.

But once she became a Gear she chose not to do what her builders had intended, and instead seek to wipe out all of humanity.

[Many images, overlapping, dead soldiers in the same uniform Ky wears now (but different colors) and two blonde adults lying side by side, their bodies broken and a child's hand reaching out to them.]

I am sorry. I didn't intend to cause you to think about something so unpleasant.

[That was why she hadn't voiced her thoughts, curious as she had been. It was easy to tell that this subject was somewhat sensitive for Ky even before seeing this particular memory. She might not be all that fond of him, but she didn't wish to cause him pain.]

[Ky shrugs, the bubble showing a lightning storm. It flickers to something else as he inhales, but then returns to that.]

It was a long time ago. It's fine.

[Zelda's thoughts appear to be about an anxious cat turning in circles. She's not entirely sure what to say, here.]

Perhaps we should part ways? I'm sure neither of us wish to invade the other's privacy...

[Invade his privacy, no. Invade his personal space? Yes. After seeing that little hand reaching out towards those bodies, she can't stop thinking about all the hugs and she's worried it's going to show up in her thought bubble pretty soon.

[Ky frowns slightly at her bubble -- really? But why would she...?

If Ky considers Kliff a father figure, he's also someone who told an eight year old orphan that he should go away but if he trained hard for the next five years then he might be able to find a place in Kliff's force.

And while people had taking pleasure in ruffling Ky's hair when he had joined, that had been something which had stopped when they started to respect him, so it's for that reason that Ky turns his frown on her for an instant. She must be mistaken, to think that he needs such a thing.]

Perhaps we should, yes.

[Zelda doesn't think she's mistaken, but she's certainly not going to forcibly mother a man that she doesn't really like that much. She inclines her head to him as a goodbye, hurrying along deeper into the forest. As she passes her own bubble displays an image of a man on a throne, gored, and a little girl's hand trying to reach out for him as she's being carried away.]
