[If you happen to be near the the forest quadrant, then you might feel the ground shake a little. Pretty strange, huh? But nothing to worry about, right?

The localised miniature quake can be traced back to a rather plain looking three storey building that has a grey flag with a bright orange stripe hanging from a pole sticking out of a window. A short distance away from the building, there's two people standing around a hole in the ground that certainly hadn't been there just moments before. A wheelbarrow containing a rosebush with orange flowers sits not far from them, and all along the ground are unopened sacks of dirt and a plethora of those mugs, some of which have fallen onto their sides. There's a bag containing seed packets and beans on the ground, too, and a recording of Sheik's Song of Healing can be heard playing on loop from a SFC nearby.

Serph eyes the hole for a little while longer before nodding to Cielo, giving him the signal to use another Magni Bomb. Which he does. Enthusiastically.

...That sure is another miniature quake happening. But the hole looks big enough for the rose bush, now.

Yep, this is what they've been saving their Starfish Tokens for. Approach?]

[He's pretty sure nobody's gotten hurt, but you can never tell. Though someone's Vatheon mug might have fallen off a table or something. If it turns out that someone was injured, Cielo would go right over there and fix them up.]

You can still help now. We have a lot to do.

[Serph nods; yeah, there's still a lot to do.

He should have informed Yukari, in hindsight, but she's here now. Serph approaches her and holds out a small orb -- a Magni Bomb -- for her to take. It's the peach seed that she gave them that they're about to plant, so she should do the honours.]

[tsundyne]

A lot to do...

[She repeats the words almost rhythmically as she takes the orb from Serph. She's...actually never seen it before, but she can guess it's a bomb.]

Like what? Y-You wanna set another one of these off? [She raises an eyebrow, looking concerned.] It's not exactly safe. Why don't you guys just find somewhere to dig the hole?

[THE OLD FASHIONED WAY!!]

How else are we supposed to break through concrete?

[They don't have tools to break through it, earth magic, or a certain party member with the ability to punch and destroy solid surfaces.]

I'll teach you how to use it if you don't know how.

[One thing they actually do know is how to safely use explosives!]

[By safely you mean they just drop it on the ground, right!?

And yeah, okay, they could have planted the seeds in the forest itself but...]

The forest is not our territory.

[Gosh Yukari. Would you like it if they suddenly planted a tree in your room?]

[ACTUALLY she has plants in her room, so your metaphor is invalid, Serph. She'd probably plant a tree if her room was big enough, and if she could find a way to keep all the bugs out, ffff.]

My point is that you shouldn't be in the concrete. There's plenty of dirt; I don't think the forest will mind, really.

[She stares at the hole that they've already created though, and sighs, looking back up at the bomb in her hand.]

...But I guess we might as well finish what you guys’ve started, huh...

[To them, it's not that nobody would mind if they planted the tree in the forest, it's more that the forest doesn't belong to them.

Plus they really want to have the plants here at base.]

Now that's called a Magni Bomb, real easy to use. You throw it at the ground.

[And then earth magic happens!]

[Shhh he doesn't know that.

Serph nods encouragingly. Yep, it's as simple as that! Guess they shouldn't tell her that these things can be bought by anyone, huh?]

She still really isn't sure about this. She can only stare at the little bomb in her hands at first, and then begins to look around the area, for a suitable spot. Maybe somewhere near the hole they've already made?

She sighs.]

For the record, I still can't believe I'm doing this.

[Huff huff. She nods her head over.]

That spot look okay?

[Totally safe, Yukari! Just don't throw it directly at your feet. You're gonna love it when something beautiful is growing out of the hole you made, promise. He takes a look at where she's looking at.]

Ja, that's a good spot.

[bufudine]

[Gosh, blowing up stuff isn't that big a deal, is it? Yukari looks a little uncertain, but he thinks she'll be fine.

Serph gives her an encouraging nod.]

Step back after you've thrown it.

[It is a big deal! There is a perfectly good forest for this, good lord. But worse comes to worst, she does have the ability to heal, if anything goes wrong. Plus they seem pretty insistent...not that that really does anything to sooth her nerves.

...BUT WHATEVER SHE'S BLOWING SHIT UP I GUESS.]

Don't blame me if anything happens.

[AND BOOM.

It takes her a moment, but Yukari finally tosses the stupid bomb, ditching it like a hot potato and dropping it like it's hot. She covers her ears, keeping in mind what Serph has just told her, and takes several steps back, vibrating with the ground as the explosion takes place.

...This makes it very hard to take said steps, to be sure. She almost falls over, but somehow she's kept her balance.

She's breathing a little heavily though when the smoke clears.]

[AWW YEAH HE KNEW YOU COULD DO IT. As soon as the bomb leaves Yukari's hand, Cielo braces himself for the impending quake. Once everything calms down, there's a new hole in the ground.]

Not bad at all.

[But she looks kind of shaken there. One is probably enough for her.]

[bufudine]

[Serph had leant a steadying hand to Yukari when it had seemed like she needed help keeping her balance. He only drops his hand from her back when the tremors stop and Yukari is steady on her feet. Yeah Yukari looks a bit scared there, so he won't ask her to throw bombs around so soon after her first.

Stepping closer to inspect the hole, it looks a bit too small for a tree. He shakes his head and steps back, holding out an arm in front of Yukari so she doesn't move closer. To Cielo he nods, a signal to use another Magni Bomb.]

[tsundyne]

["Not bad at all," he says.

Yeaaaah, good! Since she's not sure she's too keen on doing that again. Though as a once-in-a-lifetime thing, she supposes she's dealt with a lot worse.

Serph's touch alarms her at first, too, as she catches her breath; but when she realizes he'd actually helped her keep her balance, she chooses not to say anything.]

Huh?

[She catches a glance of his nod to Cielo, intending to ask what it means, but with Serph's arm in front of her, basically protecting the hole—

She doesn't have to think too hard.

[are you ready Yukari because he is chucking that bomb RIGHT NOW.

It lands in the hole.

It explodes.

It sends dirt flying.

The immediate area shakes.

The area around the immediate area shakes.

Squall Leonhart's coffee falls off his table and crashes onto his floor.]

[WELL it's a good thing they moved all the mugs off the tables, otherwise someone would've had to sweep away all the broken shards and it wouldn't have been Serph. So Squall will just have to be alone in his misery.

Again, Serph has a steadying hand at Yukari's back.

But at least the hole looks big enough now, so there'll be no more of that.]

[Sucks to be Squall then, but hey, what else is new when you're a Square Enix main character. Someone else can get him a new coffee.

Someone who's not busy staring at this gigantic hole. Yukari lets out another sigh out of relief, doing just that; and she must trust Serph to some degree because she hardly notices his support this time.

She simply turns, giving a look to both him and Cielo.]

...Well?

[Can they get started on the boring fun part now--]

[Cielo's already getting the soil]

This will be your tree too because you helped plant it, ja?

[bufudine]

[Serph had dropped his hand from Yukari's back the moment she sighed.

He nods at Cielo's words and digs out a peach seed from his pockets. He holds it out.]

This is from the peach we shared.

[Yes, Serph knows the difference between the peach seed from Yukari's peach and the peach seed from No-Face's peach.]

[tsundyne]

Great...!

[She nods at the both of them, and, after staring for a moment, reaches for the seed, taking it into her hands.

...She doesn't say anything explicitly, but she is rather touched Serph kept it.]

Shall we?

[And she nods over to Cielo this time, as if signaling for the soil to be poured.]

[He doesn't need anything more than that! He pours soil into the hole and once he's finished, he anxiously waits for the seed to be planted.

This is probably far more exciting to him than it should be.]

[bufudine]

[Taking gestural cues from Serph, now, are we? Well, he's just watching and waiting in silence; he's not going to ruin the moment of Yukari planting the peach seed!]

[Seeing the looks of approval then, Yukari bends down and starts digging a little hole in the dirt after Cielo pours it in. It is kind of exciting for her, too, admittedly; she hasn't done this in a while.

So once she's done, she stands back up and brushes some of the dirt off her hands. A thorough washing to come later, of course.]

There! That should do it. [She then peers up, seeing light peeking in, shining on the trees of the near forest quadrant.] Hopefully there's enough light down here. But there are other trees growing, so...

[It should be fine!

...It'll take some time, though.]
