[ Upon awakening from one of the most comfortable slumbers he had ever had in his entire life, Kanji realized two things. First, his room stank something similar to moth balls stuffed in closets that were already centuries old to begin with. Second, his stomach growled like you wouldn't believe; it even shocked poor old Kanji.

He was almost ready to admit that he simply had a metabolism faster than he was aware of. And that his thirty minute power nap used up all of his three-course meal's stored energy. He was almost ready to admit that.

But then, Kanji saw his SFC, and the current date that it flashed on its little screen. ]

[ After a few healthy, and unexpectedly original!, shouts and curses into the air, Kanji also realized his roommates were not around, and the kitchen was empty. ]

[ Hence, dear passerby, this image of Kanji currently sitting alone inside Cozi Corner, three piles of plates and bowls speedily increasing in height next to him. His gaze is fixed on his food, which kept on coming from the kitchen like an assembly line. The chef glances outside his work station once in a while, looking frighteningly worried. Still, he continues to serve Kanji's orders. Speaking of... ]

[ The boy man in question wipes his mouth with his forearm and burps slightly, before dropping the once pristine white bowl on top of the second pile of dirty dishes. It may or may not have been the home to the largest order for chicken curry. He exhales heavily and waves towards the kitchen. ]

Yo! Can I get an extra order for pot stickers, Chinese shrimp and leek fried rice, miso soup, and barbequed pork meat buns?

[ He pauses. ]

Oh, and uhh, add five more orders of egg rolls! A-And crispy noodles, if you still have 'em!

[ Kanji rubs his hands together, then chugs down a cold soda. He grins as soon as he finishes his cup. ] Phew! See, stupid-cursed-bubble-city? You make me fall asleep for nearly two months and you unleash the beast! Damn, I. am. starving! C'mon, chef! BRING IT ON!

[ In his excitement, Kanji bangs his fists heavily against the table, making it wobble violently. The piles of dishes next to him end up dangerously close to the edge, but otherwise stay still. Hooboy.

WHO WANTS TO JOIN HIM FEAST? HE HAS THE BEST TABLE MANNERS, I SWEAR ON MY LIFE. ]

[Mitsuru had the misfortune of sitting at the table that was next to Kanji's. She was sitting there, daintily eating her portion of potstickers. In the time it took her to eat through her first order, Kanji had eaten through at least 5 plates of food.

Glancing over now and again at him, she's amazed that someone can eat that much food and not want to pass out or throw up. And he's got sauce all over the table cloths too...]

[ Kanji doesn't notice Mitsuru, not yet. He's too busy slurping up the last few strands of his warm soba. And boy, does he slurp. ]

Ahh! [ He smiles contentedly and adds the bowl to the ever-growing pile. ] Man oh man, who knew sleepin' could work up such a damn appetite! Keep 'em comin' over there!

[ He waves back to the chef. Said employee nods hurriedly and the kitchen is in an uproar over Kanji's orders. Also those sauce stains were there before he sat down okay shut up ]

[At this rate Kanji is going to eat the restaurant dry of food...! She notices the chef and employees looking at anyone, any of the other patrons to help them in any way shape or form.

Time for Mitsuru to speak up then. She finishes off the last of her potstickers and turns to face Kanji - nevermind the fact that he was probably still stuffing his face.]

[ even with the mumps, Eikichi has to eat. And so the twig found himself at the restaurant, working on some udon and seaweed soup (vegetarian all the way) when he overhears Kanji (though it's very doubtful Kanji's very quiet anyway, just like the dear blue-hair here). He turns to Kanji from a nearby table. ]

Sleep for two months?! The hell?

[Oh man, did she miss you! Ammy hops up on the seat next to Kanji, panting and barking. SHE WANTS IN ON THIS.]

[You know one thing that's cool about Vatheon? Among its many other cool things? There's all sorts of neat food with tastiness everywhere. Cielo and Serph had entered the Cozi Corner attracted by the smells that promise deliciousness.]

Hey Serph, look at all this food. Should we get some?

[Hi Kanji, do you have room for two more? They don't mind your table manners.

...in fact, theirs are probably even worse.]

[Considering he'd be out of it for days thanks to an incredibly stomach ache inducing, untasty local, Serph is totally up for food that probably won't upset his stomach. It won't fill him, but it'll certainly taste better.

He gives Cielo a nod, before turning his attention to the chef, gesturing in Kanji's general direction.]

We'll have what he's having. All of it.

Geez... if you keep eating like this, there ain't gonna be any good for anyone else!

[ He looks up at her with his mouth, literally, stuffed with food. Dumplings, to be precise. Kanji's chewing slows down at least, but he doesn't swallow when he greets her. ]

Heymmf, Miftsfurmu-senfpai! Lonfmghp tifmphe no sfempee!

[ He attempts to swallow, but he ends up on choking down on the dumplings, gasping for breath afterwards. He chugs down a glass of water and looks back up at her. ]

...U-Uhh, sorry 'bout that. So, what's up?

[ Kanji blinks and turns around to face the source of the sudden surprised voice. He wipes the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand before speaking. ]

Yeah, damn city does that to you sometimes. Can't really do anythin' about it, which fuckin' pisses me off...[ Kanji rolls his eyes and munches on some appetizers. He realizes that this guy is either a newbie, or has never experienced cursed magical sleep before. He's more willing to be on the former. ] How long have ya been here?

[ he'd heard of weird things so far (experienced it first hand too), but never extreme sleeping. Now Eikichi did like his beauty sleep, but two months was RIDICULOUS. ]

Damn city. I've been here a month and all it's done is make me chase mice all over the place and get the mumps! [ speaking of mumps, he seems to be suffering from a rather large one right now. ]

[ THE SPARKLE IN HIS EYES, DO YOU SEE IT? Kanji laughs, despite halfway from biting into his tempura, and can't help but stand up to give Ammy his version of a noogie/hug! HE HAS MISSED YOU TOO! ]

Yo! It's been way too long! [ A-Ahh....such soft, warm fur ♥ ] We definitely need more food now! [ Kanji lets go after a few more seconds and sits back down on his chair. ]

So, what'd I miss with the sun goddess wolf lady?

[ Kanji glances up at the two newcomers, only briefly noticing their rather...strange appearances. But that passes all too quickly, and he shrugs, placing a few strips of thinly sliced beef into his mouth before speaking up. ]

Try their curry. It's the shit.

[ OF COURSE HE HAS ROOM FOR TWO MORE. These are some classy motherfuckers we got here, awwyeah. ]

[ He raises one of his brows. ]

That ain't never gonna happen. This place is way too magically creepy for food to run out.

[ Do you understand his logic? It's legit. ]

[ He hummed. ] Huh. So you are a newb...'ve been here for almost a year now. I think. [ Kanji pauses in thought. ] Yeah, more or less.

[ Mumps? His eyes immediately glance at his neck, and holy crap was that a mump. Kanji may or may not have backed up his chair a little bit, suddenly a few centimeters away from him. ]

W-Whoa, get that checked will ya!? There's a clinic here ya know! T-That stuff's contagious, right...? Had that when I was a kid!

[Oh, 'sup.

You know you're lucky Yukari just happened to be hungry, too. She hasn't had a chance to try this restaurant yet, so when she walks in, she's not expecting much. She hears the bang on the table though, and it isn't hard to pinpoint the source. With a shake of her head, she walks over to Kanji and folds her arms.]

Well! Would ya look who's awake?

[Again--]

[He doesn't know, but they are already setting food down in front of him so YEAH EATING NOW. The promised deliciousness is delivered!

We are so classy you don't even know.]

[Yeah Serph has no idea what the heck curry is but he'll gladly take a seat not far from Kanji -- acknowledging his presence and advice with a nod -- and start with the eating.

...Yeah screw chopsticks, man. He has a fork, he has a spoon, and he has his hands for everything else. Serph might be starting slow, as he takes in all these delicious smells and takes small bits to get a taste for each one. But after that? He's practically inhaling all that food.

...... Yet somehow, he's being pretty damn neat about it. Every dish he eats from is about as clean as you can be without actually licking the dish. Omnomnom.]

[Colette was going to go eat with the sketchpad she just bought, since she can't talk right now and grabbing people's hands to write on them when you don't know them is a bit odd, when she sees Kanji...Eating half the food at the restaurant. She's just going to walk over and show him her sketchpad.]

Are you sure you should eat that much? Even though you've been asleep for that long you should probably slow down...

[Don't worry Kanji, she won't make you stop eating. Food really does sound good right now...]

[ a certain orange haired teen had been sitting not too far from him and eating his own meals. He might not have that big of an appetite but the dishes piled for him too. At least a good number of them. Hell, he had been under a lot of stress lately and punching trees and throwing heavy things around wasn't going to cut it. He needed a good meal and so he did get a good meal.

He's actually feeding his cat in the corner table while she swipes at the piece of chashu from his chashu-don. The cat is happily swiping for it as it meows. He was enjoying his time and wonderin' where Yusuke and Hajime were. He glanced towards the table after hearing someone shout and he noticed that that person looked kind of familiar like he had seen them before. Memories of being five years old burned into him so... Kuwabara raised a brow at all the food.

He almost whistled but he didn't. If only his friends were here, he'd definitely be pigging out that much. That guy looked like he was enjoying his food a lot. ]

[Chie had made it a goal to try the food at every restaurant in Vatheon. Today, Cozi Corner was her target of choice. She had jogged to the restaurant from her house ready to eat. After all, after eating she had her usual plans of training, she needed to get some food inside her! Entering Cozi Corner though, her eyes were drawn to the table piled with bowls, and a rather familiar face sitting at it.]

K-Kanji?! You're awake? [Yosuke had told her that he was also here, but this was the first Chie'd seen the guy. Apparently he had been..well, basically in a coma the whole time she'd been in Vatheon.]

[Welp, might as well go sit with him. She hadn't seen him in awhile!] I definitely didn't expect to see you today!

And then there's a protag at your table, tilting his head.]

Do you mind if I sit with you, Kanji-kun?

[Classy Kanji, very classy. Mitsuru's dumbfounded at how much he has eaten, and how much he is going to eat at this rate. Not even Akihiko was this bad with his beefbowls.]

Hungry today, are we Tatsumi-kun?

Medicine won't get rid of it! It's the stupid bubble's fault! It did this to my beautiful face! [ neck, but that doesn't sound so narcissistic... ] I'm 17, not 5. I shouldn't be getting the mumps!
