[The mingle party for this month is slightly delayed, and it certainly isn't because Station Master had decided to wait for the perfect weather.

Today, the party is taking place on the island, where there are locals stationed out on the beach who're more than happy to toss you a kite and show you how to fly one in this breezy day. There are plenty of kites to choose from, ranging from the simple to the pretty to the more tentacular.

Further out along the beach are rows and rows of surfboards, with a sign. With those sweet waves, doesn't it make you want to get out there and ride them? ...Well, even if you don't, some locals will be quite insistent you try and look they're even willing to show you the ropes!

Away from the waves, however, is an outdoor barbeque, with locals cooking shrimp prawns, fish, hot dogs, skewers... anything you want. There's something for everyone, and if you want to be the cook, they'll happily shove over and give you space to be the Iron Chef of the Beach.

...Actually the party's just an excuse for Station Master to show off his masterpiece]

Hey, you don't get to be one of the best rockstars in Ooo without earning it. [She pauses from draining her apple and takes a closer look at just who's visiting her. What she sees makes her grin.] Oh, oh, let me guess. Glasses, cute little teeth, black hair... Jane, right?

[The "cute" comment gets her blushing, but she nods.]

Mmhm. You invited me to join your band. I figured I should check it out. I have to say, I'm a little more inclined now, but I'm not sure if I'd look so good on stage with the rest of you.

Hey, we can clean you up, don't worry about it. Kanaya is a wizz at this sort of thing, and I have a few pretty good wardrobe ideas myself.

But even if I'm wearing the right clothes, that doesn't make me right for them!

[She gives a weak smile, clearly self-conscious on a number of levels. She's not convinced she'd look good in the sorts of punky, gothy, rebellious clothes that Marceline tends to wear. She's also not convinced that she'd look good up on a stage where people can see her and wow, how was she ever going to give Betty Crocker press conferences? Sheesh.]

I...I think I'd still like to try, so long as you won't be too disappointed if I pull a chicken and get out.

[Never one to hear 'no', and never one to care about personal boundaries, Marceline lets herself float closer until she can sling an arm around one of Jane's shoulders.]

Here's the only thing you need to know about the right kinda clothes- do you like doing music? If yes, congrats, you have passed the punk rock test, you'll look fine.
