What: Duke's actually out of the house! ... and in the library.

[ So he'd been worrying people by not leaving the house, and since he didn't have a purpose in leaving the house daily - albeit one that he'd been ignoring recently - Duke is out and about today.

Mostly to the library. Even if he had been reading at .. home, and he would just be reading at the library, clearly the change in location was going to mean something.

At least, that was his plan. Hopefully actually going out and about helps lighten worries.

... Even if he casually skirts the hostclub just for reactions. ]

Some of these aren't so good... Others are. I like the ones where there's a really beautiful amazing woman and like seven different gorgeous guys are all attracted to her at once. I always like to think about what it would be like to be like that girl...

*Sorry Duke, but if her conversation is reciprocated then Selphie has a tendency to waffle, even if more to herself than anything*

[ Duke can see it being a conflict. There's only one girl, and several guys who all want to be seen as 'best', which, in his opinion of humans, would probably lead to conflict between the men- ]

*Selphie picks up the book and waves it - her knowledge all comes from these paperbacks*

*She smiles, shrugging slightly, opening her book again*

So, whatcha like to do apart from reading and research and stuff?

[ This is an awkward stare. Selphie, this is pretty much all that he likes to do.

He blinks off at bookcases while trying to figure out what he likes to do. Other than play with magic, read, and research (magic). ]

... Spend time with animals.

... Most of the healthy ones I have encountered.

[ He means 'healthy' in a 'not diseased and terribly violent' way. ]

Dogs, cats, monsters of own world....

What about...chocobos? Have you seen those yet? They're from my world, but they're here too. What kinda monsters do you have in your world? There are loads from mine that aren't here, and I'm kinda glad I guess.

*Her book is well and truly closed, waving it about as she speaks*

I helped gather them during the event when abilities were changed to classes. Monsters tend to be grouped into types. Beast, bird, insect, magic, inorganic, scale. Beast contains wolves, bears, quietta. Axe beak, clappers, gryphons.

[ He shrugs a little. ]

I have never been greatly bothered by them, unless they are sick.

Oh... So, what are you bothered about? Just magic, and not being bothered by silly girls who read romance fiction, right?

I had meant that they generally do not attack me.

*Yeah, Selphie can sense that too. Maybe, actually, this is one of those times that her friends warn her about when she's happy and chatty, but maybe the other person isn't so keen... So she gathers up her books and stands up*
