New arrivals weren't an uncommon sight in Vatheon. Neither were soaking wet, unconscious new arrivals. But wet, asleep new arrivals? That might be a little more odd.

And that was what was on the floor of the plaza. A soaking wet half demon sprawled out under an equally soaking wet comforter, fluffy-tipped tail curled over his chest, mouth open as he snores.

He has no idea that he's no longer in his bed at the True Cross Academy dormitory.

Dare you wake him?

"...I told you. We're under the ocean." The Lombax said again, though it was a bit on the deadpan side.

"How?!"

He was just staring now, mouth agape, unable to wrap his mind around what he was seeing.

"The magic coral." And Ratchet pointed for emphasis. "It brought you here. And only it can send you back whenever it feels like."

"That's--..."

Rin slumped noticeably, even his tail drooping on the ground.

"... fuck."

Okay, not that wasn't fair. This guy looked like someone had just stomped on his puppy. Ratchet sighed and looked over at the coral.

"It isn't all bad. You could be sent back at any time. And for all you know, someone from home will show up."

"... my brother..." Rin muttered, reaching for the long red case that was sitting next to him on the floor, pulling it close. "Yukio's gonna be mad..."

Stomped puppy, indeed.

"Hey...come on. I'm sure it will be okay. He might even come and join you, you know..."

"..."

Rin said nothing, but a faint noise escaped him. Everything had just gotten back to normal for them, and now this...

"If it helps, this place isn't all that bad. A little weird, but almost everything is free so you don't have to worry about that. And you could probably use some clothes as it is."
