April Mingle Log
[This month, there's a sign in the plaza indicating that the welcoming party has moved to the park to celebrate spring!
The food table is present as always, though the selection seems a little healthier than usual. No sweets are available for once - instead the Station Master will cheerfully invite anyone who comes by for a bite to eat or a nice drink to take part in the spring clam hunt! Scattered throughout the park are brightly colored clams, painted like easter eggs tend to be. Some of them are obvious, others are more well hidden. Others? Well, a few of the residents got a little over-enthusiastic. They sure do get excited about this stuff.
What's inside? Well, it depends! In most of the calms are various candies (not fish flavored this time, the clam theme seems to have satisfied the locals), but some of the clams are a little different. It might be time to celebrate spring, but it's also April 1st! When some of the clams are opened, characters might find that paper eels spring out at their faces, or that they're squirted with brightly colored ink, or even that the clam makes various noises. There are even a couple clams that are entirely empty and make a very mature raspberry sound when opened.
As always, the Welcoming Committee and Host Club have had booths set up for them as well. Have a question about the city? Want to talk to someone who doesn't have fish puns on the brain? Need a little companionship? Both are good places to check out. At the Welcoming Committee, just in case anyone was suspicous of the Zora Tunics that appeared Sunday night, Zelda's handing out a couple more and explaining those. The Host Club is under new management, but it seems like they've managed to pull things together regardless.
Have fun!]

[Well. That's faintly nostalgic.]
Yeah, that could definitely put a damper on the queen of red flowers title.

That's actually why I'm the leader. My friends and I are trying to fix things, so that maybe the plants and animals might return someday.

Pretty big job for you there! Looks like you don't have to worry about it here. Pretty jamming with life.
no subject
Marceline, what's your world like?
no subject
Pretty colorful, usually, and with a different kingdom for every little thing, I swear. I guess a few weren't too bad.
no subject
Kingdoms...with princes and princesses?
[Sera's ideal world revolves heavily on medieval fairy tales. As soon as kingdoms are mentioned, her mind is filled with fantastic imagery inspired by the tales she's been told.]
no subject
What else do you put in a kingdom? I'm pretty sure there's more princesses than anything else, honestly.
no subject
That's amazing. Are you a princess too? No wonder people would get bored without you around. I bet they love to hang out with you.
no subject
As a matter of fact, I'm even better. I'm a queen.
no subject
No wonder you don't like to bow to others. People should be bowing to you.
no subject
You don't have to bow, tho. We're both leaders and, more importantly, I guess you're not too bad. Friends and whatever, right?
no subject
She's joyed to be considered a friend.]
That's right!
no subject
Then it's all figured out. [A clack of her boots as she finally settles on the ground.] So, you always come around for these things?

[She glances around before shaking her head.]
No offense, but it's really dull. Nothing but "clam hunting" and some food! Which isn't too bad, but it could be way better.

[No parties back home either. Unless you count a 'party' as a group of people.]
no subject
Tell you what, next time this sort of thing comes around, I'll have a band together and show you what a real party is like, got it?
