.oo1 | 'Tis but a flesh wound
Who: Suoh Mikoto and YOU LOT
When: Late in the evening
Where: The plaza
Style: Starting in third, following you
Status: Open LIKE A FLESH WOULD
[ The last thing he remembers is spreading his arms out in a sign of release. It's done and over with. His sword is about to fall. Totsuka had been avenged and he is more than aware of the consequences. Then it's the cold feel of metal going right through him and the scent and warmth of the blue king being the last thing he feels. Then he closes his eyes and feels nothing else. He doesn't hate him for it. He knows it's an act of mercy.
Suoh never thought dying would be like being immersed in water.
He doesn't let these things get to him. He never does. The minute he opens his eyes, he's soaking wet and there's blood seeping into his shirt. When he steps forward, he teeters slightly before he catches himself against the side of a nearby building. Then the pain hits again and his hand moves to where that saber blade went in through him. Already, he knows there's something distinctly wrong. Hell isn't a city underwater. The welcome pamphlet is only glanced at, confirming his suspicions. Somehow, he's escaped it. He's escaped death and it's a little overwhelming. But where to now? His Sword's gone. He saw it disappear.
With that on his mind, Suoh staggers forward. No sense fretting about it now. For now, he has to find the others. ]

The bag is promptly dumped and Selphie rushes over to the man, holding out her arms in case he needed something to hold on to, "Hey... you're not going anywhere like that, mister. C'mon, let's sit you down first."
no subject
"Munakata. Where is he?" he asks, accepting her support just enough to straighten himself up. Sitting down isn't going to do any good with finding anyone he knew.

She looked down at his hand on his wound, and frowned lightly. Her voice was soft as she answered his question, "He isn't here... And if you don't sit down I'm gonna be forced to heal you without your consent." Already, a hand moved towards his, getting ready to cast a spell.

But there's a pause. If the blue king wasn't here then where was he? Was he even in the same place? Nothing made sense but any attempt of his to make any measure of sense of the matter was drowned out by the throbbing pain in his chest. It was a strange and painful reminder of just what had happened, what he seemed to have barely escaped from. "Fine..." he murmured, finally settling down against the nearest wall. The lease he had to walk the better.

You're bleeding, you uh, want some help with that? [A pause, oh, this guy's... drenched.] Want some uh, helpful tips about what's going on too? Like I guess, where you are, and what's happening for starters?
no subject
I saw the pamphlet. Doesn't make any sense.
[ Shifting his weight just so he can lean against a wall. ]
How far are we from Shizume City?
no subject
Pretty. Don't count on going back any time soon. [A sigh, shrugging a shoulder.] And count on a lot of other really weird stuff. This place uh, well it has a thing for surprises, as you mighta guessed already, heh.

So what's with this place?

Le...a...?
[Maybe not. But then he notices the injury, drops the question of identity, and hurries closer.]
H-hey. C'mon, let's get you to the coral.
no subject
But then maybe this kid knew more than he did. ]
What good's that gonna do?
no subject
It's magic, it'll help you heal.
[He moves close enough to offer the redhead support walking, but doesn't touch him yet.]
no subject
Magic?
[ That's just murmured out. He's not so weak as to need any support. He can walk. It just kind of hurts to. ]
Does it work?

Are you okay? You need to stop and let the coral heal you!
[Fai reaches out to try and support the man, being careful in case the other doesn't wish to be helped.]
no subject
The coral, huh...?
no subject
This place is a little odd in how it works. Some people don't have magic on their world so it might seem a little hard to believe at first, but trust me, it works really well.

But when he gets to the coral, he sees the familiar shock of red hair almost instantly, and the best feeling he's had since he got here nearly a month ago fills him. ]
Mikoto-san!
[ It takes him no time at all to be next to his King's side, but... but something's wrong. Something is horribly, terribly wrong, and it has pretty much everything to do with the red blossoming against his shirt. ]
Mikoto... san...?
[ No. No no no no no this isn't allowed what is this no. ]
no subject
His free hand is raised in greeting with his usual "ossu". ]
I made it back.
[ Back from what, the dead, his fight with Munakata, he's not going to be clear about that. ]
no subject
He eventually reaches out a puts a hand on his shoulder anyway, glancing down at the wound with some amount of trepidation. ]
What the hell happened. Last I knew you were-- you were fine. We were all waiting...
[ All of them. Waiting off the island, where they'd be safe if anything went wrong. But the island was still there... ]

In fact, he's only two steps out the doors of the drugstore before he's lighting one up and taking a long drag. He exhales the smoke slowly, in a thin stream, and that's when he sees him leaning against the side of the building across the street.
Izumo walks over, taking a few more puffs from his lit cigarette as he goes. He doesn't noticed the blood, at first. Mikoto's hunched and lazy stature isn't out of the ordinary, so it raises no alarm. ]
Ah, Mikoto--
[ But as he gets nearer, he sees the seeping stain and his usual smile slips away quickly. ]
...Mikoto?
no subject
That familiar voice calls his attention though and it isn't half a heartbeat later when he pulls himself away from where he's leaning and straightens up. No sense letting Izumo see him worse off than he was. ]
Aa. Right here.
[ Oh good. He brought the smokes. His are pretty soaked. ]
no subject
Still doesn't mean Izumo is any less concerned, at the moment. Though that might get a little lost in his scolding. ]
Idiot. What the hell did you get yourself into this time?
[ Don't mind him flicking his cigarette off to the side and lifting your stained shirt up to get a better look at what the fuck is going on. ]
