[Even if he is still smiling as he gestures for the server to bring some milk..]
I was coughing.
no subject
[Same mischievous grin.]
Did that come from choking on all the laughter?
no subject
Not at all. My throat is simply dry. Can't a troll simply cough?
no subject
Nope!
[She flashes an especially silly grin.]
Not allowed.
You are only allowed to laugh at Disciple making a fool of herself. Because, let us be honest, it was funny...
no subject
[It is a fitting grin for her, because she is being especially silly right now. After just a little hesitation, he lowers his hand.]
I wouldn't want to be improper.
no subject
Okay then, new rule.
[Because that is how this works, right?]
If your moirail does something silly, it is no longer considered improper to laugh. Which should not come up much- because a refined and delicate flower such as myself never does anything silly.
no subject
[This is definitely how it works, Darkleer is pretty sure. He also doesn't know, so. Take that as you will.]
Laughter then. Now perhaps you'll want to try something that is not so spicy?
Yeah Wikipedia. -_-
[She somehow attempts to mimic a curtsy while sitting.]
Now... Yes, though, the spicy was good. Expecting the spice this time, and moderation, will make that more tolerable. Well now, Maybe some of this one...
[She tears another chunk and scoops a small amount of what appears to be a crumbly cheese. Disciple samples it, a bit more carefully then the previous attempt. It is an interesting taste, the cheese itself is fairly mild and uneventful, and actually serves to kill some of the sting of the spicy kitfo that was still lingering in her mouth. Almost as if it was meant for that exact purpose... almost.]
Not bad, not bad. I think this one will make the red, spicy, meaty stuff easier to eat.
no subject
Hopefully. I wouldn't want to make this an unbearable meal for you.
[As for himself, he's trying a bit of everything, in his own patient way. Just one by one, sticking to everything he knows doesn't include meat. Fortunately that includes a nice chunk of it.]
no subject
[She stops to give him a grin, and then was on to trying the green, leafy stuff with a bit of the bread.]
no subject
[That's one of the most romantic things anyone has said to him.]
I, ah, am quite pleased that I produce such a reaction then.
no subject
It is like you said during our little moirallegiance talk.
[She says gesturing at him with a new bit of bread.]
I would not lie to you about something important like that. I like you, and you are stuck with me, I am afraid.
[As punctuation to her sentence she scoops up a bit more of the spicy kitfo, and sprinkles a little of the crumbly cheese on it, and takes a bite.]
no subject
[Maybe his mistake was not looking for her after exile. What sort of things would have changed if he had? Would he have come to his senses sooner? Regardless, he looks back down at the food with a fond smile. Leafy green stuff is his.]
Is there anything you ever wondered about myself, then?
1/2
2/2
Well now... I do actually. There is a lot I always ask myself when thinking of you. I think some of them would be better saved for later.
We will go with something a bit more innocuous. Where did you get your love of hoofbeasts?
no subject
If I had to guess, probably my lusus. He was one, after all. Then I started to learn more about things and realized there was art, and it just seemed to grow, really.
no subject
[Thinking about her lusus, something she had not had the time to worry about in a long time. Then with a bitter realization realizes she cannot recall what her lusus's name was. Another sad realization: her memories were quite the minefield. It was good she was getting some nice happy, healthy, positive memories in this place.]
So that one was easy. How about... What is your favorite thing to drink? Do you actually like all the tea I force at you? [She laughs.] Or is there something else Darkleer likes?
no subject
[Trust him, he knows.]
I don't have anything really against tea... I suppose I like it well enough. I tend to prefer coffee, however. It helps wake me up somewhat. I suppose you are quite the fan of tea, however. Nepeta certainly seems to be.
no subject
Oh, I wish you would have told me something. I could have been making you coffee all this time. I only started drinking tea because of Nepeta. I really do like it, do not get me wrong, but only kept making it when you were over because I thought you loved it as well.
[A laugh. Then, fishing for info.]
So... is there a particular flavor of coffee you prefer?
no subject
[Except chamomile. Chamomile will always filled him with guilt. It is ruined now.]
Well... I recently found a rather nice blend that uses French Vanilla and is good with a bit of milk...
no subject
[She smiles pleasantly.]
no subject
[That isn't him absentmindedly tearing apart his bread. He's just. Torn. On what to pick up next. Yeah.]
Perhaps next time you could visit. Possibly.
no subject
Last time I was there, I was attacked by a figment of my own imagination.
I mean if you get that all sorted out, I suppose I could pop on over...
[She laughs and tears off a next chunk of the bread. She was really starting to get a liking of this stuff.]
No, but in all seriousness, I would love to. It has been awhile since I have been over there.
no subject
[He really is falling for it, sincerely worried. After all, that had not been a particularly pleasant curse to go through. Even he had been somewhat twitchy after it. When he realizes she had been playing with him, Darkleer ducks his head down and becomes extremely involved in his drink.]
Oh. Lovely, then. Ah, could you... come through my room window?
no subject
Wait... your window?
